I’m seriously starting to get really turned off by J’s new and ramped up rhetoric about “God” n’shit…I don’t mind them talking about the concept in roundabout terms but it seems like every chance he gets now, we are hearing him all but PREACH. I didn’t get drawn to the Carnival to be talked to about religion and while I can respect other people’s beliefs, I don’t want them CONSTANTLY repeated to me. Especially when I think all religion is bullshit.
Seriously, I pre-ordered my (Lost) and if I get it and there’s a bunch of shit in there about God and Jesus n’shit, I’m gonna be pissed.
They already made their statement about their own “revelation” and I’m cool with that but I don’t wanna fuckin’ keep listening to it.
That article has got me tweeked.
I hear you about not wanting to be preached at, but I don’t think J would ever be about that. If he’s talking about that shit, it’s because that’s where his head is at, not because he’s trying to convert anybody or tell them what to do. Personally I don’t give a fuck if he talks about god, jesus, freemasons, martians, or whatever, as long as he’s expressing something that’s real to him.

First I’ve heard him say anything positive about God since Thy Unveiling. Maybe you’re reading different articles than me? But hey, if you keep asking the same questions, you shouldn’t be upset when you keep getting the same answers.
I feel like if you say something about God once to an atheist, they get all up in arms about “constantly” having it shoved down their throat. Honestly, if you don’t like it, Violent J specifically told you “You’re either with us or forget us.”
First of all… don’t ever put words in my mouth I didn’t say. WHERE in my post did I say, “…”constantly” having it shoved down their throat.” Spin your own words. Not mine. I also never used the word atheist; but seeing as YOU brought it up, an atheist doesn’t have shit to say about anyone’s beliefs until someone ELSE brings that shit up or otherwise is subjected to having to hear it. Case in point.
Secondly, I can’t help that I watch and read more about shit than you do. I guess you didn’t watch him on The Juggalo Show go on about it for a good few minutes. There have also been a few interviews regarding the new albums where he’s managed to slip it in there. Shaggy’s all but mute on this kinda shit. It’s J.
Thirdly, the use of the word “constantly” was used in transitional future tense, “…I don’t want them constantly repeated to me…”; as in, I don’t give a fuck what anyone believes, just keep that shit to yourself unless you want to give everyone else a say about it. I’m also pretty sure you’re taking your quote from J completely out of context. But it’s whatever, most Juggalos I’ve seen talking about it feel the same way. They have no interest in ICP getting all evangelical on them and while most (including myself) could care less about the boys newfound path, as long as it doesn’t take over the band, it doesn’t matter. And that’s a shit attitude to take: “like it or leave it”. Yeah, that’ll get ’em far with their lengthy fanbase at this stage. But if I was bored enough, a review of some of the shit you’ve said about them would make your inclusion of that statement sound pretty hypocritical.
SO if you disagree with me, fine. I got no beef with you but if you wanna get on some personal shit, you bring it here. And don’t hide behind some third person generalization crap and add words no one said.

Tech n9ne talks about his religious struggles in music all the time. J’s trying to get back to the level of the old lady sitting at the bus stop or whatever. I don’t even mind if they mention it as long as it doesn’t become their platform. Hell, there are some religious rappers I like solely because they are skilled as hell.

Am I missing something? He NEVER implied you said that, he’s just making a point… which I might strongly agree with, lol. Jeez, relax a little bro.

lol, evangelical?! come on bro, they might have gotten a bit more religious… you know like 3-4 songs in the past decade. but they never once went all evangelical on the juggalos, lol.

Seminar at the GOTJ, when J is talking about the release of Shangri-LA he told juggalos when they herd the album… “You’re either with us or forget us.” Obviously he was refurning the thy Unveling. Long story short… its sound advice my friend.

This is good news! I was suprised to see this posted. Alot of us have been wanting a double album 1 with clark and the other various producers. I’m happy they are going through with it! I see maybe a few tracks with seven on found but I know otis will have alot. He’s actually dope at producing and he makes some really good shit. I feel like found is just going to be all over the place tho. I rather just have one producer but whatever seven does way too much music I wouldn’t want him to produce the whole album. Mec is going to be hit or miss on this one. I haven’t heard him make a “dark” good beat in a minute so it’ll be interesting. When they say “grim” I keep picturing stuff more along the lines of vultures but faster. Idk how this album is going to play out but i’m interested to hear it.
