It’s gotta be done! With both Twiztid and ICP having brand new releases out before The Gathering, you GOTTA have time to know that shit beforehand so the theme of this year’s event makes sense.

I may not be thrilled with the (Lost) cover picture but I wanna get that shit way ahead of time so that I know what’s up when they finally hit the stage. Not like they won’t do some old favorites but you KNOW they’re gonna be playing that new shit (both groups).

An’ hey, with them doing a Juggalo Auction, the first ninja to bring the hologram CD up for bids may get their money back cuz it’ll be hot in the years to come!

Speculation time:

It is my belief that juggalos have an open enough mind, giving them vision to see the occult. That which is hidden in plain sight. To see depth in simplicity. Find meaning in obscurity.

THE (MARVELOUS) MISSING LINK

1. The status eventually returns to its original value after completing some sort of cycle.

For the ICP, this means that the magick (the influence) of their subculture/status/’religion’/philosophy — AKA The Dark Carnival – will be returning to its original value. Perhaps it is this ‘magick’ everyone claims to feel is MISSING, or lost. Also note the proverb implies a cycle of some sort. Like the Original six, the third joker’s card is when the ‘Dark Carnival’ began to form its ideologies and gain a more public audience. Whether or not juggalos are aware, ICP has been making more noise than ever, maybe not financially, maybe not “musically, maybe not even with a following, but their awareness relating to the world’s mind is far beyond what it was, considering technology today, and how many years they have been at it.

2. A person’s actions, whether good or bad, will often have consequences for that person.

For Juggalos, it may mean that wherever you are in your life, whether you are ‘lost’ now, or ‘found’ now. One might expect this to change. The cycle continues. This doesn’t imply if you’re doing well good things are coming, nor does it imply if you’re doing bad, bad things are coming, as well as vice versa. A Joker’s card is a self-reflection of a sort. Much like tarot, art/symbols reveal aspects of the subconscious mind, and potentially the unconscious collective. Where is your karma bringing you in this cycle of renewal? J has already said that the concept is going to be that the link is that thing that makes you happy or whole as a person. It’s sort of like self actualization. So, the first album is a person who is missing their link. They’ve got a disruption in their psyche. In the second album, it’ll be “found”. 

This is going to be a lot like the Shangri La and hells pit albums, I think. It’s clear heaven and hell on those albums is here on earth and in life. we make our own heaven or hell. They say that the music will be a lot darker on the LOST, with a faster, more erratic sound. It’s going to be really interesting, I think. They’ve been more clean and crisp lately so it’ll be nice to watch them unload a bit. Then the found will be the flipside. What’s it like to be a juggalo who has found their link? what is life like when you’ve got your mental health in check, etc. Trying to help the family (and themselves) grow a bit and see the good things in life.
