“When you take it home and you listen to it…. You’re either with us or forget us, because we stand behind every lyric….”
yeah I’m probably misunderstanding the context of that phrase.
Yeah, ya are… if you’re gonna play willfully ignorant about every other sentence he spoke BEFORE he said that. And the comments he makes AFTER it about how they saved all of the “best stuff” from the other cards for the 6th.
Unless you can direct me to the comments he might be referring to that is somehow directly related to his religious beliefs as his reasoning for feeling the need to say that, that has ANYTHING to do with the little preamble beforehand, to which you seem to think he is implicitly talking about… that’s YOUR speculation.
Find ’em and I might change my mind. Otherwise, gnaw… I’ll still think he’s talking to those bitch ass punks that wanna talk shit about them getting soft outta the side of their mouths waiting for the next album (Wraith) to come out to throw some more shit on them. Other than Thy Unveiling, I don’t hear anything else on that album that would cause them to feel the need to be anxious about expressing their religion; prepping Juggalos for something “fucking crazy”. Honestly, I think the only thing that MAY have gotten them nervous was the whole, “We’re not sorry if we tricked you!” thing. But I think it’s pretty damn weak for anyone not to be able to pick up on allegory or metaphor and quite frankly, who would give a shit? That’d be like talking smack about Tool for making their own references to religion in their music… BFD.
But I digest… it would take some ACTUAL evidence for me to think that that quote is SPECIFICALLY saying, “Be down with our God or forget us” which is what you are trying imply in bringing it up in the first place. But hey, they’re a bunch of aging, soft, fading hacks that can’t do for themselves anyhow, right? pfft…

Dude, just let it go. You’re arguing with a guy who assumed you were an atheist and cried about how, apparently, all atheists have to start shit with Christians or what ever, even though it’s usually him starting shit with atheists, but what ever… all because you mentioned that you hope that they don’t go down the rout of preaching every other song.
Either way, ICP isn’t saying you are with our God or against us, and if they did I’d definitely be against them.
Hail Satan, Lord Lanza, Tenebris, Josh Powell. Kill the mindless juggalo army Christian sheep and their clown gods!!!!
Yeah, now somebody actually did insult Christianity, fuck it. Kill the Christians! Kill the Catholics! Kill the Lutherans! Kill the Mormons! Kill the Muslims! Kill the Jews! Kill the Scientologists! Kill the Buddhists! Kill the Trekkies! All bow down to hate!

Alright, just for the muthafakos who like to keep their shit IN CONTEXT, here’s that section of the seminar where the words, “You’re either with us or forget us” came from… IN IT’S ENTIRETY!J begins talking about how, when they “disappeared” for 8 months, they were online reading all the hateful shit some Juggalos were saying about them. Shit he says really hurt. Shit probably like some of you are STILL slinging about them getting soft and losing their edge and going on about how they need to get back to the “wicked shit”… He goes on to say that “The Wraith” wasn’t made for the people who want the wicked shit or the metal shit or for the rap… “It was made the way the Dark Carnival wanted it to be…”
THEN he makes that statement…
http://youtu.be/CRDE9kSpROA?t=38m42s
Now if you think that that was specifically meant JUST for the ONE track of Thy Unveiling… that’s for YOU to speculate on. But to use it as some kind of point in any conversation about J’s religious views and how he expects the Juggalo nation to regard them into the future and their personal involvement with the Carnival… again, that’s on YOU to debate. I don’t see it that way.
I see it as him responding to the fuckin’ snobby bitches that had shit to say about how their last albums were coming down and the MUCH waited for and talked about 6th card and everyone’s expectations about how it “should” be (or did turn out). *I hear it as him talking to the same kinda shit like some people run off about nowadays about them getting old and losing their touch; which is what *I* said about that kinda shit, “Either you’re down or bounce the fuck out!”.
Sure, he seems (and admits to) being nervous about it and maybe on some level was referring to Thy Unveiling but THAT specific statement (in my book) in no way says to me that I NEED to be into some “new religious slant” to the rest of their career and music if I want to continue to be down for them and what they do and try to say. I’m down with ICP. For better or worse. They have MY respect eternal for everything they have done and do… But I don’t have to agree with them on what “eternity” is in order to do it.
I’d just be very turned down about it if it becomes an overriding theme of their continued success.
Either way the 6th was my fave era with ICP. so much fun with shangrila and hells pit. Both concerts were so fucking dope. + I had so many memories during that time. I do feel ICP has been riding off the 6th since it dropped. My gripe with the new albums is they all sound like shangrilas we would of gotten with ICP on board during the 6th which in my honest opinion I wouldn’t of been happy with.
Them using new producers is giving icp a whole different style now. Just because mike e clark got them this far doesn’t mean anything. I would absolutely love to hear Mike P do some songs on the new card and i’m really hoping he did. This whole time I been saying I wanna see Mike P, Seven, and Esham do a new icp cd together although the eham thing wouldn’t happen the other 2 would be a good option. Otis isn’t bad imo but as someone said, his hi-hats annoy the fuck outta me. I think more than anything Mike P would bring a better sounding sound to the table than anything else. Seven doesn’t really mix well with new twiztid I just don’t like the beats, I wanted to hear fritz work with twiztid on the new album but it didn’t happen.

I posted this in the article and i will revisit it here
Before everyone starts jumping to conclusions lets look at it objectively, there is no quote from them saying “Mike E Clark isnt on the record, we used a bunch of other people” perhaps what they said was something to the effect of “We used a bunch of producers on the record” that could INCLUDE Mike E Clark, so i am not too concerned
Also as much as i like his production i do feel like he has phoned it in on alot of stuff, i mean the outtakes from MDP where shaggy is saying “Mike, hey mike, hey mike, mike! mike! mike!” its like he wasent even paying attention

Like I said earlier, they said he wasn’t on Found at all, but they didn’t say anything about Lost, so he still might be on lost.

@lucem-ferre I just partied with Jesus and he told me he still loves you even though you talk all that shit and you are still invited to gods pool party with special guests Muhammad, Buddha and L. Ron Hubbard.
Of course, I can’t imagine an avatar of Christianity being upset over words. I also can’t picture Jesus not having a sense of humor. Who would really want to follow a humorless prick anyway. That’s why L. Ron Hubbard was invited, God finds his insane ideas really funny.
