The reason I disliked lost is because it seems very LAZY to me, especially coming right after House of Wax. They said these were recorded in two very different sessions, so if it seems like they actually tried harder and didn’t just, as scruffy would say, phone it in, I will be happy. Problem is, I don’t think they have anyone on the label anymore who will be honest and tell them when they’re not trying hard enough.

I really like lost but I’ve been thinking about it like this: I think Lost is what ICP would be like without the juggalos. I hear a lot of throw backs to Carnival of Carnage and it sounds a little sloppier and a little grittier and I like that. I think that was purposeful. People always bitch that their albums are too clean and too over produced so they went the other way as a way of showing that the juggalos, their missing link, has changed them for the better.

I think lost is fun, and a few of the songs are really interesting and contemplative. It’s violent, dark, the beats are intense (they bump hard as fuck in my car but sound kinda meh on my headphones), and I like a little bit of sloppiness to my music but it’s clear that ICP are sort of over that. They’ve grown as musicians and people and they certainly see their relationship to juggalos differently than they did before we really had the name.

I expect lost will sound very different. It’ll be clean. it’ll be fun. I don’t think I will like it as much but I hope it has some contemplative stuff. I hope we get a song like How but with the answer of gathering (pun intended) with people who love and support you. That’s where you find your link. They talk a lot about faith but the etymological root for the word religion is the same as relation (family).

To me, it’s not about the beats, or the concepts, or even the preachiness, the lyrics just seen lazy to me. Listen to the lyrics on house of wax and listen to lost. It seems like they rushed it. Maybe it was intentional, but I doubt it. Time will tell how I feel about found.

I did think house of wax had better written songs. I was waiting for some hellfire on Lost after that. I’m glad to know they still have it in them, and I do wish they brought it out more. When they posted on facebook asking what people thought of LOST I said I gave it a 7 which is really good, but that they were capable of  a 10 as House of wax showed us. When I put it on in my car, it jumped to like an 8 and a half. I really like it a lot, but yeah House of Wax had some dopeness.

That’s when I put my full attention into music. I listen to it on my commute to work, and it grew on me.

I’ve listened to it in my car and on headphones. Flamethrower is still the only song I REALLY like, then confederate flag and vomit after that. Everything else is meh to butter in my opinion.

I find i like different things in different ways. i ride the bus a lot and find that weirder, more experimental music without a whole lot of structure helps keep my ride from becoming boring but i have to change it up a lot. A lot of stuff I listen to on the bus I couldn’t really listen to in my car because it would be distracting.

Some music, like trip hop and a lot of rap, I like in my room with the lights out, and I like to visualize it and listen to the subtleties. A lot of ICP albums I like that the most, too. the last dark lotus was definitely one I preferred with my headphones in my room where i could let it consume me.

In the car, I tend to like stuff thats louder and more aggressive, lots of punk and some rap. It just depends.

I would put LOST at a four but other than that. ^this^

Found is either going to be a Mike E sounding jokers card or a Shangri-La sounding card. I really hope it’s the former.

So I’m assuming PSY learned from their mistakes and just said “fuck it” for a Found preorder.

Yeah. I figure they’re planning on selling it out at the gathering and then if you didn’t get it, it’s your fault.

Same thoughts here. I was actually gonna pre-order it from Hatchetgear but only if they released a special edition of found. I instead put down a reservation for Found at Hastings. I’m really hoping we can get a peak at the track listing soon so we can speculate what the tracks are about till it releases. On a side note it seems weird to see barely any promotion for Found. Its kinda been an after thought when it comes to getting hyped for the Gathering.

Yeah. We’ll see. They didn’t put much out about lost until right before it was released so maybe on the juggalo show tomorrow we’ll get something. I dunno. I’d like to hear some before the gathering myself but I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

no amazon pre-order either… i don’t want to have to go to F.Y.E to pick it up… i have a very busy day planned on its release date, my B-day(the 31st right?). i want to come home from work have it sitting on the table and be able to listen to it on my 3hr ride to the camp site..

The only merch I plan on getting at the gathering is FOUND and probably a hat. Getting LOSTwas a fuckin hassle and I’m not doin that shit again. It’s almost like they recognize that actual CD’s are becoming less and less popular so they’re putting less and less effort into making them/getting them sent.

I think as far as I know only FYE and Hastings are the only stores promoting reservations right now “that I know of”. I was also hoping Hastings would be selling it with a free Bandana like they did with Lost. But as far as I understand there is gonna be no reservation bonus. I’m sure stores like FYE and Hastings only had exclusives because of the Missing Link in store, and considering they had to cancel the tour I’m sure stores were pretty pissed because of the reason ICP was forced to cancel. As far as the actual album goes I’m very hyped for Found. Personally I thought Lost was the best work since Hells Pit. Sure it was different but that’s what made it unique. I’d prefer Found be more Rock Rap and emotional uplifting along with some murderous Juggalo anthems and of course the comedy sounding tracks. I just don’t want any “When I’m clowning” type songs that come off as annoying.

Generally, I don’t think so. Does that mean they WON’T? I doubt it. They’re punk rock after all.
