On a side note it seems weird to see barely any promotion for Found. Its kinda been an after thought when it comes to getting hyped for the Gathering.
I think “Lost” might have flopped.
Their #17 debut spot on billboard was really low compared to other cards.
After a month and a half on youtube the video for the debut single “Explosions” only has 150K views, which is low for ICP standards.
But you know they’ll use a lot of time at this year’s Gathering to hype “Found”.
Lots of media attending to promote to fo sho!

While BPB was a surprise when it came in at the AJB spot (not long after WICKED came in strong to debut), it retained interest in the Clowns the same way (almost) that Milenko did. I know a lot of older Juggalos were pleasantly surprised by it for its throwback nature, but with all the mainstream attention and the uber-meme that Miracles spawned kept up interest and as such, likely sales, too.
With MDP they did the smart thing of kicking off with “Chris Benoit” which grabbed attention (anything with that name would). Seemed to pretty much hit the same/similar heights in terms of impact as BPB.
But the thing to remember with all the above aside is that BPB and MDP came in various editions and if you chec LOST’s numbers you’ll quickly realise that ICP were the ones on the chart schooling it for physical sales. They would have been higher up if the Billboard was structured in other ways, alas; the times are to be kept with. For a single edition of a barely promoted record, to hit at #17 with the first sales figures through aint bad by any stretch, especially from a group on ICP’s level (currently speaking).
Pretty sure the reasons behind the gap between LOST and FOUND would be taking into account Bizaar/Bizzar (and by extension Freek Show) which lead to burn out in sales as well as the immediate affect of the chart positions. Their albums are typically slow burners, as everyone should realise by now.
Plus, its hardly a flop when you peep what Rae’s latest did on the same schedule.

For what it was worth the Missing Link:Lost preformed decently. I wasn’t surprised to see the Missing Link chart under #4. In fact I predicted it would be just below Twiztids Darkness which was like #28. Plus they managed create some of the best physical CD sales compared to others. I also wouldn’t be surprised if they made a music video for Conderate Flag to stir up the media of the flag being burned in the video. I’m positive if BPB And MDP had been sold in one variant and not multiple they would have sold only 20,000 the first week. Plus they always take good first week sales and disappear from the charts. Their music also isn’t trying to appeal to anyone other then their fans which is different from Tech N9ne who seems to be reaching past the underground fans to a more mainstream fans both alike. Which equals more sales due to new demographics being reached. I’m sure J knows the mainstream doesn’t want ICP and I think he’s fine with that. I can see ICP from here out to take a page out of Gwars book after they got less attention in the 2000s and just produce good music and dont worry about the billboard 200.

If they had put out more than one single for Lost, or at least were talking about another video from that album, I’d agree with you on the album being able to slow burn.
But it seems the page is being turned right over to Found, now that the Gathering is just around the corner.
Maybe PSY’s plan all along was to just to sell a shit ton of physical copies of both albums to the ninjas who attend the Gathering this year.

I was hoping to get a single for this album but that’s not gonna happen. I am really hoping this is going to be mind boggling but I am done having expectations anymore and just going to listen to it. I enjoyed Lost for what it was but I was unhappy with the beat style. What makes me mad is they have ALL the fundementals right now to make a dope ass from start to finish. I am really hoping I put this album on and am just mind boggled. I enjoyed shangrila alot unlike alot of people so for me, i’m hoping it’s shangrila part 2. We’ll see tho. Going to be interesting to hear that’s for sure especially with sevin and otis producing a “happier” cd. I hope they did some sampled tracks and let seven produce those and mike p & otis do the rock/rap songs. That would make a dope cd

All I know is if I turn this cd on and hear those EDM sounds that was on lost i’m going to be pissed. That shit didn’t sound like icp at all, it was cool for one album but I honestly do not want to hear it on found at all. I fear that this is the new direction ICP is going to take but i’m hoping J actually listened to people online alot of people were upset about this.

Yea I’m with you. I want this album to have a distinctively different sound then Lost. If I recall right Found started being recorded back in Jan or Feb. Which means they probably had the sound and tone set by the time Lost dropped. So I doubt they are gonna delay the album for more work. Though I wonder…. Its like Founds promotion has been “lost”. No tracklisting, single or much aside of what they said earlier this year.

Doubt there’s going to be one at all. You’d think there would be with a preorder but whatever. Must not have alot of faith in this one
No, they actually have a ton of faith with this one.
They decided to not do a pre-order on hatchetgear with this one because of the mishap with the LOST pre-orders. However you can actually pre-order it online elsewhere, bestbuy, fye, amazon etc.
The gathering is their “pre-order”.

How can you say that have faith with this album when they promoted lost way more? we all know how J is, you know for a fact this is going to have EDM on it, I can just feel it but i’m hoping it doesn’t. I remember when Lost dropped they asked on fb who liked the album and ALOT of people said they weren’t feeling that EDM shit, they were literally snappin about it. I was cool with the concept of the album, that didn’t bother me at all. It was the lazyness of the lyrics and the EDM style beats that I didn’t like. Now don’t get me wrong, alot of that album is dope as fuck. It’s like they tried with some songs then they ran out of ideas and just said fuck it. Anyways, there’s not much I could see being done with this album cause like dude says it’s done but 5-6 months to drop a cd I don’t have much expectations at all really when they had how many years to drop this. I just want to hear what Seven is capable of making for the clowns without that EDM garbage he did.
Whatever they do with the next cd, I’d really like to hear an Mike P / MEC collab. Let them two BOTH sit in the studio and work on music together, no fighting or anything. I think it would be amazing.

They currently have a street team promoting the hell out of Found as we speak. I’ve actually seen more positive comments come from people for the LOST album than negative. From what i’ve read, FOUND is looking to be a good one.

Dono where you heard that from cause most of the comments dropped the day after lost dropped on that tuesday people were snapping on ICP’s fb page post. Sayin fuck the clowns and this album was wack and all kinds of stuff.
Yea but honestly that’s a given. You see those comments on anything and everything they post. There Facebook comments is a little spam ridden. Just about for every negative comment, I’ve seen 3 people say they loved it.

I would agree to an extent but I seen far more hate than love the day it was posted. Alot of it was exactly how I feel, they loved the direction it was going towards but it was executed badly. The cd could of easily hands down been one of the best ICP in years if they would of focused more time on writing/beats. The formula was all there, J’s voice was great. I see this found album being the same way every icp cd has been since after hells pit, few good songs rest will be meh. I personally just don’t think Seven and ICP click together but that’s me. I didn’t like killjoy club either I thought the lyrics were lazy also

I can’t imagine FOUND sounding the same as LOST. I took the lack of ICP style beats to be part of the whole “lost” angle. Their style, morals, etc. etc. are lost. Which ties into the lazy ass lyrics that @darklotusfaygo was talking about. The reason that the lyrics (most of the song concepts for me too) were lazy might be because they simply didn’t know what else to do with the beats. KillJoy Club had the exact same problem. Their style doesn’t really work with that type of beat.
With FOUND, assuming that the lack of a Jokers Card feel on LOST was intentional, the beats will probably be different and as a result, the lyrics will be a little more thought out. House of Wax was proof that their song writing abilities are just as sharp as ever. That can’t be a fluke.

So you’re saying that up until then you’ve liked EVERY song on EVERY album they put out?
That’s either a) some serious hyperbole or b) an unattainable expectation to have to live up to.
Also, rather than saying “EDM”, say something else. There is nothing “EDM” going on on that album. No one is gonna be playing that at a rave.
As far as these comments you are referring to, bitchers gonna bitch. There’s no way to please all the people all the time and if it were up to these same people, ICP would sound like they were stuck in the late 80’s with shitty production and be talking about the same ‘ol shit they were more than a decade and a half ago. It’s called progress and both they and THEM are getting older.
Time to move on. Don’t sound like some stuck up record store dork saying, “Their old stuff was better”, cuz EVERYONE can say that about ANY band that’s been around long enough to have their snobby fans talk shit about their continued existence.
[Lost] as a whole is a very good album. There are a few tracks I have NO qualms about skipping over but by no means would I say it doesn’t meet up to expectations of quality. If anything, it’s probably their best album in years.
Grow or don’t show is all I can say about that…

The first 6, yes I enjoyed every song on every album. Because that’s when they put the most effort into there work. Has nothing to do with wanting ICP to go sound “old school” but whatever style you wanna call whatever seven’s sounds were, the stuff didn’t make it sound like icp. Only thing I can say about the “progress” of lost was J’s voice finally sounding good again and better production from certain people. Ex: Wicked and Mike P and I think Kuma did vomit? Which took a while to grow but I dig that song. I’m not sounding like nobody, i’m stating my opinion I don’t have to be on this board and be a “whoopalo” i’m stating how I feel and ALOT of other people. Lost as a whole i’d give like 5/10. I’m biased because of the lazyness. Hell, maybe if J spent more time writing to the beats we would of had an amazing cd but you can tell there was a lot of lazyness to this album in general.
Death pop came out in what 2012? You figure about a year for touring, so they’ve had a little over 2 years to complete both these albums and they spent a few months on Lost & Found. Which Personally, I think they scrapped that little side project with MEC and called it house of wax and I think that’s where they originally wanted to go. BUT, I will say one thing. I am happier that production wise, we got lost because I wasn’t feeling house of wax’s production at all. Lyrics were on point but production did nothing for me.
That’s my opinion
