The vocals are underneath most of the beats some of the time, that’s my issue. I mean the mixing isn’t HORRIBLE but it isn’t great either, i’d give it like a 6/10. There’s too many effects on all the vocals, I mean so bad you can hear it. When you listen to an ICP cd and MEC mixed it, you can surely tell. The vocals sound clean and the fx are there, but subtle, very hard to hear. After bumping it several times I can appreciate what they’ve done with the songs itself and the cd as a whole but it still feels like this is an album they made to say fuck man we gotta do something quick before juggalos start leaving we lost too many fans blah blah blah. I didn’t want another hells pit or riddlebox or milenko or any of that. But I really wanted them to return back to that sound we all know and loved years ago.
I’m very thankful they’ve changed there drums up tho, that’s one thing I hated with MEC was the drum samples he used. These sound better – way better. Which is a main part why the cd sounds so different. If I could pick several songs on this cd and someone said “What songs would you want this card to sound like the whole way through” it would be Confederate Flag, Falling Apart, Vomit (a little more sounds tho), How, You should Know, I see the devil.
Put those songs all together and tell me, if we got beats just like that this cd would of been fucking dope. Those beats to me, sounded like ICP. I just wish whoever was the engineer with ICP said to make better hooks. That’s my 2 cents. Yes, I thought about this alot lol

Does that mean it’s okay to download then…
My point is that maybe theyre sick of all the negativity they get from juggalos now, and maybe J himself is embarrassed by all the stories that have come out about him being greedy and that sexual harrassment lawsuit against psy. The J-10 interview didnt help any, revealing a side of himself he didnt want anyone outside of psy to know about. Why else would psy have put a gag order on twiztid? But everyone knows now who he is offstage and his reputation has suffered for it.
So it wont surprise me when i get my copy of Lost if some of the songs sound half assed.

Yeah, I pretty much took that song to mean they’re tired of the fakers, being the butt of everyones joke, etcetc

I agree that a lot of the choruses/hooks sound pretty lazy…the ones with Young Wicked are the best tbh (take that as you will)…especially on the end of Vomit…his background vocals actually helped the song as a whole and I thought he did a good job on How, Explosions, and I See the Devil…would have been nice to hear Legz on here though to my knowledge he wasn’t anywhere to be found…and actually J’s chorus on Falling Apart I thought was really good too
I do agree with someone above who mentioned how lazy they’ve gotten with the actual rapping…they’ve never been great MC’s but some of these rhymes were just garbage lol “the rest of these hoes are whores” really J? And basically everything about Shaggy’s parts on “How”…off beat, sounds like he’s reading right off the paper, and that line about ‘fuck my dad I wanna slaughter thee” lmao

what side of J did J-10 reveal?…I thought it had already been common knowledge that he’s known to be a snake on the business side of things and it’s not like a hypeman who wasn’t even signed to the label is that great of a source anyways IMO

also…everyone needs to STOP calling this a dark album…its practically more religious and faith based than Shangri-La was…I’ve never heard them talk about faith, sinning, etc so bluntly before…there’s angry stuff on there too and a few creepy songs I guess but there’s a few points on here where you could really confuse them for Christian rappers tbh not saying there’s anything wrong with having faith/being religious but I preferred the more subtle/storytelling manner I guess

Read some of the comments left on youtube for that vid. One person left a comment that says im gonna puke, which i imagine means they were shook up by what they heard. That interview did more damage than people admit.

No Legz Diamond? really? (I haven’t heard the cd yet)…I hope he’s on Found. Legz is awesome!
I’ve only heard Vomit & don’t think the hook is lazy at all, I think it fits very well…I cant speak on the rest of the “lazy” hooks, but Vomit definitely wasn’t.

I don’t expect much going into found, but who knows. I’d like to hear more piano, guitar, and strings for FOUND. and they need to get rid of that wobbly bass I guess you can call it. Just put a normal damn bass in. That’s what killed it for me on Lost. Reminded me of dubstep kinda.
I think its odd now that at first everyone loves Lost, and now everyones bitchin about dumb lyrics, bass etc. The funniest part is this album isnt even released yet.

yeah as far as I can tell Young Wicked is basically standing in for Legz on this as far as background vocals/hooks go…could be just the different sound they were going for…I think Found will be back to what we’re used to from the clowns (however you wanna interpret that lol)

even when I first put the cd in most of my reaction was “wtf?” They’d scream lost or something and i’d wait for more on the chorus then the song would end or jump into another verse on most of the songs and i’m like oh wow, this is def them being lazy.
The bass is completely different from anything they ever Use. Listen to most of the lyrics man, you can’t say they tried there hardest on this “i’ll stick the flagpole right up your faghole” or something like that shaggy said on confederate flag.. I was like wtf?

you realize a person can like an album while also having problems with it right?…especially after more and more listens you tend to notice more things…I like the album but that doesn’t mean some of their lyrics aren’t lazy (even for ICP standards)

This. Shaggy’s basically a hypeman more or less whether we like to admit it or not.
