I never understood the hate for The Tempest. It sounded like a part three to Bizzar/Bizarr to me. At the very least it was a hell of a lot better than The Calm.
I dont hate the tempest but it is my least fav ICP album. I like the first half then starts to go downhill imo. Bizzar/Bizaar was the fist albums where I could skip a track here and there but they still have that carnival feel that Tempest was missing imo.The tempest era was my least favorite era but I still went to the tours and had fun.BPB and MDP brought back that Dark Carnival sound but still something was missing. The 3 last albums I seem to skip the most songs out of their discography but I still like them but just not my favorite. The calm and Eye of the storm were different too but I still enjoyed them.I just hope TMML Lost lives up to the hardcore wicked shit hype. Also J said he gave the album to some Juggalos and someone mentioned that is was darker, scarier or whatever than Hells Pit..We shall see.

otis is shit ..that’s why so much hate. rapping fast doesn’t make someone good. his character and style are extremely lame. and the sound of his voice is so fuckin annoying. I don’t like his beats either.that’s an accurate review of otis
For you and quite a few others sure, but there are plenty more out there with my opinion too, no need to get so testy
im looking forward to what otis bring to the table. I didnt like him at first but after Killjoy Club my opinion has changed. Kinda lame MEC isnt involed but it is what it is.I also love sevens production and Mike P. Kuma is good too so im hyped for this release.

Everyone keeps bitching about Mike P but Mike P really got them on the map. ICP blew the fuck up with shangrila. I remember how jam packed the shows were and how much fun everyone had. With or WITHOUT mike P that’s the direction ICP was going with the whole GOD thing. I really thought J put alot of time into his lyrics for shangrila and hells pit. Even today, if I go back and listen to both albums I still think they hold up very well we got a little bit of everything on shangrila the beats were both guitar and rap which IMO is my fave from ICP but that’s just me Maybe it’s cause I grew up on 90s rock who knows. I think they do great with piano too.
as far as hells pit. The beat were just dope. Shit wasn’t overproduced, it didn’t have a carnival feel to it really but it definitely gave me that “Wicked” vibe.
That’s all I want. I didn’t like the style direction of MDP and BPB that was my problem. They sounded way too expiremental to me. Like they still didn’t find there niche. I didn’t get any type of carnival sound from any of those albums. All I got was expiremental ICP sounding music that was mixed extremely good.

Ay yeah man couldn’t agree more. Crop Circles is one of my favorite ICP tracks. I love rapping along to those verses, I know every word!

Otis’s beats on Killjoy Club were tolerable but his raps are just awful. I hope he isn’t on too much vocally.
Also, they didn’t say MEC wouldn’t be on it, just that they’re working with other people. It’s possible he’ll do a bit of it. Originally it sounded like they were going MEC for the first one and then other people for the second. The dialog has sounded different lately but we’ll see.

Shangri La wasn’t even their biggest era though. Milenko was way bigger. When Milenko was out, you couldn’t go anywhere without seeing juggalos and by the time Shangri La dropped that had already died out. I didn’t like Shangri La but I dug hell’s pit. I’ve been listening to the old jokers cards lately for a project I’m working on and I like Shangri la more now than I did back then. It just sounds cluttered.
I -LOVE- MDP and BPB and don’t think they sound experimental at all. There isn’t as much “carnival”, yes, but it sounded a lot more pop and commercial. Everything is clean and the beats move. Same with Killjoy and the new Lotus. I would love for them to get a bit gritty and raw again but mostly I think ICP are at the top of their game right now and I’m really excited to see where they go musically. From what I’ve heard and read and imagined, I’m looking forward to this album. I think they’re gonna murder it. If J wasn’t over exaggerating on the wickedness and the “90s sound”, I think we’ll all be happy.

I’m not saying ICP didn’t put Mike P on the map, I think they both pretty much put each other on the map. I’m wondering how ICP would sound if MEC didn’t come back and it was the line up they had before. I think it was eric davie, fritz, kuma and mike p? I may be wrong but i’m pretty sure that was it. The biggest problem I have with J is when they find a dope producer they have him work on everything for psy seven for example, he’ll work on these new icp cds then start on a new boondox album, abk album, etc etc. That gets really annoying. MEC has done so much music for psy since he came back. its like they didn’t give the poor guy a break.

Great to hear Mike P. is gonna be working on some tracks, but definitely not looking forward to Young Wicked possibly producing some of the beats. He’s a good rapper, but his beats just aren’t wicked or fitting of ICP’s style at all. They’re, quite frankly, stale and generic.
I’ve always felt that The Wraith: Shangri-La and Hell’s Pit were the finest produced albums ever released by ICP, and Mike P. put in some work on those projects. Though, there’s a special brand of freshness that Mike E. Clark brings to the table (I absolutely loved Bang Pow Boom’s production – that was a close third on my personal ICP production rankings). He’s a Juggalo legend. He’ll be back. I don’t mind him taking a break for a lil’ while.

Seven must be making a shitload of money. Making beats for Tech, everyone at strange, Twiztid, making a new blaze album, beats on the new lotus, ICP is working with him. Shit, why aren’t mainstream artists looking to work with him? His beats can be amazing!
can is the operative word in that last sentence. Yeah, he’s done some DOPE work. But his beats on the new Lotus weren’t the best ones on the cd. I think Kuma killed it on that album

I agree with the seven stuff. I think he’s just being over worked. I wish Icp would release a track off of LOST just so we could hear what it’s going to sound like but it’s almost april already and we haven’t gotten anything so I doubt we’re going to hear anything. They do this all the time we suprisingly got a track off death pop last year I don’t think we got one for BPB so who knows. J seems to do that all the time with albums there was no tracks for hells pit but shangrila they dropped aint yo bidness and crossing thy bridge and juggalo homies. Who knows lol
