@randy-gall - Case in point. Deaf, DUMB and blind. Take your single sentence trolling and STFU. At least when @lucem-ferre wants to be dickish, he's a million times more eloquent than your misspelled "attempts" to involve yourself. Piss off. (respek Lucem :P)
@the-warlock - LOLz ...something, something ass out of me something, something... Sorry. I'll be sure to apply the correct genitals to the mental image of your posts in the future.
For the record, I wasn't so much coming to *your defense (as if you need it) as responding to these baited threads. Maybe it's the titles of "Best" or "Worst" that seem to be popping up. Maybe if the core questions were phrased differently along the lines of preference as opposed to judgments, these kinds of "conversations" wouldn't devolve into this kinda discourse (however entertaining they may be).
PS
Pro Tip: Restating someone else's declarative statements as a question, does not a good argumentum make.
"I think this/that/or the other thing is good/bad/ineffectual".
"Oh, really? You think this/that/ or the other thing is good/bad/ineffectual? Bullshit!"
Sarcasm in written form doesn't translate into brownie points in anyone's favor very well.
pfft.

Okay, I just finished giving Super Garcia Bros. a listen. It wasn't bad, it just lacks imagination, or like any semblance of variety. Every fucking song kicks off with Mario, then Mario drops a chorus and hands the mic to Luigi. In the case of a featured artist, they just get tacked on to the back of the track. The beats don't necessarily all sound alike, but they are, for the most part, very similar. One song features a latin flavored guitar lick, and another sounds almost reggae-ish, that's as much a musical twist as this album takes. The cover is so boring, it looks like a doodle in a high schooler's notebook. Maybe it's more impressive in person, but I doubt it.
M.O.E. was decent, Might Go Mad was one of the more memorable tracks, thanks mostly to the ICP guest spot, I liked I Keeps It Movin, and the closing track was one of the more memorable instrumentals. Shine was not good, the only thing I remember about it was that I didn't like it. Bleed was pretty weak too, I didn't care for the ABK feature, it just all fell flat. Listen was also lame, the Big Hoodoo verse was pretty good, though it didn't save the rest of the song. And runaway was whack, I zoned out through most of it just waiting for the next song to start. Everything else was okay, not great, not horrible, all listenable but didn't stand out.
And that is my neutral opinion.

The Joker Cards are simple, yeah, but they're not doodles, not in my opinion. They're very clean, visually appealing, and they pop. There's not much to a joker card cover, but what's there is satisfying. Shaggs does a great job. These AMB skulls are, well, pretty rough. They're disproportionate and amateur looking, they look like they were literally drawn with cheap markers and colored pencils on printer paper. And the rest of the cover just feels empty.

They really need to try changing up their formula, it gets boring.
they have in the past.. im assuming they stuck to the dark underground tip cuz thats what most ninjas love.. theres def a few tracks that take it elsewhere i.e. "keeps it movin", "Nobody Get Hurt", & "smoke kush" but def not enough.. personally i didnt mind that i would just prefer they stick to more specific subject matter.. even tho they did do it quite a bit but when they go on their generic themes i get bored after awhile..

That's not completely what I meant. The subject matter was alright, I suppose, but what I really meant was literally every song, Otis goes first, does a chorus, then Bonez takes his turn, rinse, repeat. They don't change it up at all, that's probably what bugs me the most about it. Most groups would change up the order, maybe add a third verse somewhere in which they split the mic time, maybe exchange turns every couple bars, just something to freshen up the pattern, but it's the same on every track.
As far as their actual ability to rap, I thought they did well on this album, Bonez improved a lot. His lines were frequently cringe inducing on past releases, but I wasn't rolling my eyes nearly as much when he came up. Production, diversity, and imagination, those are the points they need to work on instead of trying to prove they can chop.

Nah, I heard their "mystery seminar" thing from last gathering. I knew they were going to being "flexing their muscles on the mic" or whatever, that don't excuse them for getting lazy about other aspects of their music. They accomplished what they sought to with this album, but they ignored other major points and parts are left lacking. It's like suping up an engine and ignoring the car has a couple of flats, shit ain't gonna win no races.

Ur nuts man,I thought Bleed and Listen were 2 of the best tracks on the album...sounds like ur analyzin the record the too much.Expecting a Perfect album with no flaws.Otis said at the gathering it was gunna be more rappin,Less concept shit. But if u feel like u can do better,By all means homie.Drop a CD... And I like bonez style of rappin, more simple and blunt.less choppin.hes like the Monoxide to Otis's Madrox.

Are you joking? How could anyone expect a "perfect album" from AMB? I'm holding them to the same standards as I do anyone else, which may or may not be higher than your standards. I don't need to make music to be entitled to my opinion and if I did it wouldn't make it any more valid than it already is. It's not like I'm saying it's complete shit, so I don't understand why you're so defensive about it. It had some good ones, and some I didn't care for, Mariotis and Luigi Dubb succeeded in some aspects, specifically their abilities they were showcasing on this album, and because they put so much focus on that one element of their music, others weren't as impressive. The production sounds cheap frequently, and things start to feel repetitive at points. Never once did I say it was a bad album, but I'm not gonna sugar coat its flaws. And maybe Bonez shouldn't try to be like the Mono to Otis' Madrox, maybe he should just try to be himself, but preferably a version of himself that drops less lines about blazing weed because that shit gets old fast.

Glad someone said it! I agree totally. To many debates end with the "if you don't like... then do better." That's like saying you can't have an opinion about the president until you run the country yourself or you can't say you dislike a movie till you direct your own.
