I’ve recieved my pre order today of AMB’s new album , “The Garcia Brothers”. I’ve been pretty amped up for it, and honestly, set my expectations pretty high.
But upon my first listen all the way through it, I was a bit let down. And here’s why: The beats/music are quite bland. It’s a little difficult to distinguish one song from the other, as they seem to blend together. And why has it become a thing to lay down an insanely fast rap? Some of the songs I’m just like, “Slow down, I can’t even make out what you’re saying!”
But I think what really hurts this release is the lack of variety in the music. This just sounds very bland and…well, typical of any other rap artist.
Only a few tracks stand out upon first listen, and those were: M.O.E. (Murder Over Everything), Might Go Mad Ft. ICP, Shine, and Nobody Get Hurt. Everything else might sound better on my 2nd or 3rd listen, but who knows? Music has a way of being awesome for awhile, then growing stale over time. Some music is stale at first, but gets better

You should have spent the money elsewhere. Give it to a homeless person, or chip in for Violent Dopes Gathering fund if you wish. You got burnt toast 86.
He’s right, you should be giving the money that you’re spending on this album to a homeless person. Seriously, if you all just gave all the money to the same homeless person you could really do a lot to help out Esham. So let’s help to get Esham off the streets, boycott this album.

I just want to add in my .02. I have never been a fan of AMB, save 1 or two tracks. I have been pretty vocal about it too. This album…well…they win. I’m diggin’ the shit out of it. Do I think some of the tracks could have had better beats? Yes. I know that Otis is a one man wrecking crew, but some of them are just a bit simplistic. That being said, I’ve had “Bleed” in my head since I first heard it on Saturday after opening up my HatchetGear package. HUGE kudos to Otis and Bones on this one. Find links on youtube and listen to it for yourself. Form your own opinion. As a long-time naysayer though, i’m sold.

I dislike all albums the first time I hear them. Not sure why. Maybe my resistance to change, who knows. But after I hear them about 3 or 4 times I start liking them. It seems like the same is true with this one. I think I am going to like this one in the end. But I have always end up liking AMB after a few listens.
I want to know what @DarkLotus79 thinks of it. He’s been lurking around the AMB threads. I think he is connected with this album in some way. Just my suspicions. ;)

like scotty d i have NEVER been a amb fan, and i actually have a personal issue with that goes way beyond music, and while i will stick kick their fucking teeth in if i ever see them again, this album really impressed me, bleed really is a absolute monster of a track. I think people like to complain a little too much. People say “oh theres not enough variety in the music”………but then when psychopathic tries to give you something different like Legz diamond or Cold 187um(both of which i am not fans of,but i dont go out of my way to hate them, i just dont listen) people just automatically start calling it trash without hearing it because its not “Juggalo” enough, now when AMB deliver a album that is pretty goddamn wicked and hardcore straight through people are saying there isnt enough “variety” its a catch 22. When it comes to some people psychopathic is damned if they do and damned if they dont.
