I’ve had an epiphany. I suddenly and profoundly realized that I don’t think humans are doomed. For some it might be easier to think we’re doomed so that they can give up. 

Even in the broadest sense possible, how aren’t we doomed? I mean, all this stuff aside, the planet is a few thousand years late in deciding to get rid of us in the first place… And that, too, we have zero control over.

I argue that the human race has been doomed since we first walked upright.

There have been claims of sustainable solar fusion, NASA apparently is testing an “engine” that can run off microwave bouncing. Battery power is much more powerful to the point where there are plans from Elon Musk to sell home use battery’s “powerwall.” I am cautiously optimistic that we can at least get to another planet before we kill ourselves.

Then we can refer to this planet as Earth 1 and screw up Earth 2 in the process.  Fuck yeah!  lol

actually im inclined to disagree.

not in the sense that if you are black its wrong or white its wrong in a racist meaning. but ive been chatting with @robtidwell  for a while and he has been explaining the whole transgender thing to me.

if a man can look in the mirror and see that they are not really ‘a man’ but a woman inside of a mans body, why then could it not be the same in a race sense?

i mean the perfect example (albeit incredibly racist) is uncle rukus from the boondocks. he truly believes he is a white man (an incredibly racist white man) trapped inside of a black mans body (under the guise of reverse vitiligo).

i believe that if lucem truly feels he is black, then im willing to accept him as an incredibly pale African american friend. i feel empathy for him that he has to look in the mirror and see something that doesnt fit.

the question is where do we draw the line with personal identity?
