I think it’s weird that everything has been kinda hush hush about this album. Normally by now J would come out and say “MEC is back on the album” but I haven’t heard anything from either of the two confirming it.
But the one thing that definitely intrigues me is I don’t think MEC has produced anything for anybody this year Psychopathic wise. No new stuff from hoodoo, no new abk, boondox didn’t have any MEC beats and Killjoy was seven and icp and dj paul.
So either Mec made a shit ton of beats for this album and focused completely on it, or he got the bone lol
it’s just awfully weird that Seven produced for Killjoy, I don’t think he produced anything for an ICP record. And the hallowicked track wasn’t MEC. Mec usually does hallowicked tracks.
I really think this new card might be all new producers. 1

i find that wiki is decent for technical stuff. hard sciences, engineering.
that kinda shit gets carefully re-edited over and over by the brains, until its as correct as can be.
some history.
but anything even remotely controversial, or disputed, or speculative, or even pop culture related… nah. ill use it as a source, but not a trusted, citable source.

Hallowicked tracks are different because they require that dark vibe. But Joker Cards are special, they combine carnival sounds with wicked sounds, you gotta walk that tightrope without falling. MEC does that perfectly, IMO. Kuma seems very good at dark, spooky stuff, Seven is good at hip hop. I wouldn’t want ICP to produce themselves because you need a third party to tell you if it’s phat or whack.
This next album will be the shit, hopefully it’s for the right reasons.
It will be. There’s no way this won’t be dope. (fingers crossed)

yes. honestly, seven reminds me of younger MEC. I think mec is very worthy of making the right beats that we all want to hear. I had no problem with the tempest or eye of the storm, or even fuck the fuck off. The shining is when he started this new style with psy, and I don’t dig it. most of the J solo cd sucked.

I loved Chris Benoit but for some reason it always bugs me that they say “unmeasurable regrets” when i feel like it should be “immeasurable regrets”. To be fair though, im a jackass.
