I love hatchetman symbols. What I don't like is bad shit written on it. Anything with MF on it or pictures/references to balls... I'm out. I prefer to make the statements, not let my clothes do the talking.
Lucky prefers to tell you he motherfuckin loves balls. He gets mad when his shirt lets the cat outta the bag before he can tell you. Makes sense to me.

The only thing.... the only thing for me on Mighty Death Pop that stood out in a bad way.... was the fact that they were making too many pop culture references. Kinda like South Park a little. Where the first seasons all had a theme, but recently, every episode is just poking fun at the most recent breaking news.Like, ICP used to kill bigots, corrupt politicians/government, and child molestors. In Death Pop they were killing... Chris Brown and Dog the Bounty Hunter... I could swear that was part of the influence of the album, and why it's "death POP," but I dunno if I filled that in myself, or that was an official statement.
Even with that one small gripe, I still hold Death Pop up high on my favorite albums list, just because I feel like ICP really grew as a group, musically. The album did not follow any formula or pattern that they've used before. They stepped out of their comfort zone. It was pretty similar to the difference between CoC and RM, actually.
Chris Brown is a spouse beater. Dog is a racist. They were rapping about killing the same people they always talked about killing but instead of nameless richies they went after the ones on tv. It's one of my favorite ICP albums because the themes are so strong and it really ties their new jokers card back into the classic shit. I dug Bang Pow Boom about as much as I did Jeckel when it came. I dig Death Pop as much as I did Milenko when it came out. The only song I cant stand on it is kickin kickin (Ninja was so much better and if you're going to do a song about being a ninja it shouldn't move like sludge wtf is that).
I'm really hyped for The Missing Link. I'm hoping that they'll really shock us. It'll never happen, but a while back on axe the question J was asked about music from a skit on Milenko which sounds wild as hell. He says "we should make an album like that" in his answer sort of as a joke. I'd kill for the Missing Link (lost) to sound like that. Rough and wild and lots of shouting and no real structure. Confusing and chaotic. Angry as fuck. And then have (found) be the same songs but rerecorded over more typical sounding ICP beats. Not a remix album but an actual reworking of the material to sort it out and make shit clearer.
<--- the shit when he puts him on hold. Could you imagine.

Has there been any release about what the joker card stands for or what it's about? Can't remember seeing anything so figured I'd ask.
IDK if there was an official announcement, but I assume it's about the same shit they always rap about. Killing biggots and other low lifes, god judging us, faygo, etc... That's my main gripe with ICP nowadays, is that their shit is so dated and recycled. However, that's what 99% of juggalos still want I guess so why would they change? Maybe I'm just bitter though as I wish they had never tried to revisit their past with this "new" deck. I know I've said that 100 times so I'll just tell myself to fuck off.

I just want something new and up to date. I guess u can say something similar to what they did with The Calm and Tempest. Not necessarily a "wicked shit" album, but a pure rap record. Or maybe a concept album of sorts.
I'll still be buying their new lp upon release though, but i would just like some change.

The first mention of "The Missing Link" can be found in the song "The Jinx" by Big Hoodoo. I was bumping Crystal Skull the other night and noticed Hoodoo say, "Hatchetman representing all the missing links". Could that have been a clue as to what was coming next?
