Juggalos! Juggalettes! It’s your boy BeZerk, and I’m in an very unfamiliar spot right now, as I bring to you my first CD review. Now don’t get too comfortable with these, I don’t plan to do too many of them for the simple fact that everybody wants me to do one for them. Listen here juggalos and fellow artists: I have the attention span of a squirrel on crystal meth, sitting down long enough to write up a review on a whole album takes a lot out of me lol.

Well, we might get into this and talk about the album. The album has been in the works for a little while now, and I’ve been waiting at least 6 months for it to drop. Dropped on Kamikazi’s birthday, Angels & Demons is something that you’re not going to want to pass up. To add to that, Kamikazi’s birthday present to you is that it is a free download, so be sure to cop it after the review (I’ll leave a link).

Kamikazi really tries to focus a lot on this album about realness and talking about the things he knows. Whether he be alluding to his abusive past, or referring to the feelings of loneliness and isolation of a misfit; Kamikazi does not hold back. What I like about that is the fact that it is real then. Then you can relate to the artist, and it makes listening to them all the better.

Street Sound Entertainment got a major upgrade on their studio, and from the quality of the album, it sounds stellar. Brilliantly produced, some songs on this album has little samplers and fillers that are just crazy cool. I don’t know if you guys like that shit, but sometimes some good filler and samplers are nice to listen to. Overall though, you couldn’t get any more professional sounding than this. I would have to rate the production quality 5 out of 5.

Kamikazi did an amazing job picking out beats. One of my favorites being the beat to Sweet Demons which is a remix to The Eurythmics Sweet Dreams, in which not only is the beat sick, Kyle tears that shit up like there’s no tomorrow. The People are Strange beat is one of my favorite dubstep remixes of any song. Over all, almost every beat on this album I enjoyed.

Flow wise, superb. If you’ve never listen to Kamikazi, his style and his flow are out of this world. Kamikazi actually changes his tones and shit in songs too, which a lot of artists lack. Kazi can chop it up like no other, and probably could easily put Tech N9ne in the dirt with some of his fast raps. Kamikazi is very versatile with his flows too which shows how much of a superior artist he is.

Well juggalos, time to get into a review of each track, then a conclusion to this bad boy. So here we go:

01. 9-9-13

Track 1: 9-9-13

This is just an introduction sampler. Very unique. I almost liked it for being mostly just a bunch of noise. The highlight is at the very end where Kamikazi’s kid says “I love you daddy.” I  thought that put the icing on the cake, and to sound soft here, I thought that was adorable.

02. Disguised Eyes Ft. Theory

Track 2: Disguised Eyes featuring Theory

This track has an eery beat to say the least. Like hypnotically eery. One listen, and it will suck you into the album. Both Kamikazi and Theory tear it up. Theory, who is just starting to make a name for himself, has a really good verse on this, and his flow is very on point. Kamikazi’s lyrical content in this song is great.

03. Fake

Track 3: Fake

At first for some odd reason, this song just annoyed the shit out of me. I think it was something about the beat. Then I listened to it again, and fell in love with the track. The hook makes this song in and of itself. I like how Kamikazi confronts other rappers who don’t speak on what they feel or know, and would rather rap about money, guns, drugs, etc. Kazi’s flow almost is like it’s own instrument on here developing it’s own melody. Definitely one of my favorites off the album.

04. Crazy Ft. Tanqueray Locc

Track 4: Crazy featuring Tanqueray Locc

The hook on this track is fucking awesome. I do believe it’s sang by Heated Muzic’s very own Tanq Locc, and he does an awesome job at that. The beat on it is sick, and a little hypnotic. This song is a song every juggalo can relate to, because which one of us isn’t fucking crazy. I mean come on, we’re fucking juggalos.

05. Lord of Beauty

Track 5: Lord of Beauty

This track is the shit. Hands down one of the best on the album. Extremely deep and emotional (in a good way), Kamikazi talks about his abusive past and his struggles. This is what rap really should consist of. Realness. The beat on this will get stuck in your head, I can promise you that, and the song itself is extremely catchy for it’s almost somber mood. This has been stuck in my head since the album dropped. If there is one track you’re going to check, I would recommend this would be a good one to start with.

06. I Am

Track 6: I Am

This track starts with the infamous New World Order speech delivered by George H. W. Bush exactly ten years prior to 9-11 (look it up. It’s dated September 11th, 1991). I have used this speech before in a few projects, so it’s nice to hear a familiar sampler. The beat sounds like a rendition to Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata (one of my favorite songs of all time). Kamikazi starts off strong on this, and keeps his flow going through all the way through the song. The hook really makes this song. It’s almost motivational. I really enjoyed this track.

07. Seems 2 Be Ft. Theory

Track 7: Seems 2 Be featuring Theory

This track was dropped a few months ago, and I fell in love with it immediately. I even put it up on my YouTube because I liked it so much. I would really like to see a music video to this song. Both Theory and Kazi come together to make another deep masterpiece. The beat is off the hook with a hook that’s really dope. The way Kazi flows on this song is something else. It’s like Kyle is able to make his voice it’s own instrument. This is another almost motivational track. Theory’s lyrical content really helps bring this song together.

08. Revelations

Track 8: Revelations

The opening intro sampler on this is very interesting. I don’t know where it’s from, but it’s a dude lecturing about the free masons running everything and whatnot, but the song isn’t about the sampler in the beginning. The beat is really sick, and Kamikazi really does tear the shit up, but for some reason, I’m not big for this track. Don’t get me wrong, it in no way, shape, or form is it a bad track; I’m just weird like that, and sometimes different tones and shit can turn me off to a track. Needless to say though, this is a very well put together track that is most definitely worth the listen.

09. People Are Strange

Track 9: People Are Strange (The Doors Dubstep Remix)

If you don’t have me on Facebook, you wouldn’t know how much I like this track. This is the first song off the album to have a music video, which is out of this world. The song is fucking awesome. The beat is terrific. The concept is great. This track has everything it needs to be a hit. Unfortunately, it’s heavily underrated. This track is also very very deep. I have literally listened to this song at least 1,000 times. This song is actually in my top favorite songs. Like within the top 3, so you know that shit’s got to be good because I’m measuring that shit up there with things like Nirvana and The Beatles). If there is one song that you ever check by Kamikazi, make sure it’s this one. I literally couldn’t think of one negative thing to say about this track.

10. Euthanasia

Track 10: Euthanasia

Out of all the tracks on the album, this one is the most catch. Extremely aggressive beat, this track is off the hook. The hook is sickly catchy. This song will not make you fall asleep, if anything, it’ll make you want to get up and move. You might want to try to keep up and sing along, but just listen to the song before you try lol. Kazi flows so fast in this song at some points, that if you were to play this too loud, your speakers would set on fire. Lyrical content at points is hard to keep up with, but it sounds so damn good, you can’t tell. This track really is super sick and worth a listen. The beat on this is probably my favorite beat out of all the tracks.

11. Angels & Demons Ft. Hurricane

Track 11: Angels and Demons featuring Hurricane

Now, I don’t know who this Hurricane dude is, but Kazi made an awesome choice. The song starts out with Kazi just chopping the shit out of the beat. Like seriously, you can’t chop much better than his intro verse. I think he flows faster on here than he is on Euthanasia. The hook is kind of eery. The beat is kind of like a dark banger. This song is worth listening to for the simple fact to hear both artists chop this song up. Hurricane almost sounds like Twisted Insane, but this cat is hella talented. Mad props to him. Definitely a track worth naming the album after or having the track named after the album. Shit is off the hook, and to be honest, World Wide Choppers couldn’t hold a candle to this.

12. Semi Demonic

Track 12: Semi Demonic

This is a filler track. It’s your demon in the flesh.

13. Holy Spirit

Track 13: Holy Spirit

Now it took me until writing this review to realize that tracks 12 and 13 aren’t the same one. Holy Spirit has a dark creeper beat that immediately catches your attention. Kazi comes out and kills it. I don’t know what else to really say about this track, but it’s definitely a good listen.

14. Animals Kill Ft. Infinity & Killa Capone

Track 14: Animals Kill featuring Infinity and Killa Capone

THIS SONG FUCKING ROCKS!!! A very aggressive beat with an even more aggressive hook, all three artists come together to make a wicked masterpiece. Kamikazi’s verse is well put together. Infinity comes out and kills it and does a weirdly good sounding British accent in part of his rap. Like I said, it sounds weirdly good. With him doing that, it makes his verse very unique to add onto some already dope lyrics. Killa Capone was made for this track, and I’m glad the beef between Jimmy and Kamikazi does not get inbetween Killa and Kazi working together, because every time they do, they make some kind of sick masterpiece. Something about Killa’s verse though makes it my favorite. It almost reminded me of his track Eat You, which is my favorite by him. This was another one of my favorite tracks off the album. I even put it on YouTube. This is SicFux’d to the core. The outro sampler to this is quite short, but is my favorite sampler on the album.

15. Sweet Demons

Track 15: Sweet Demons

This track is another one of my favorites off this album, if not from Kamikazi in general. The beat is a sick remix to the Eurythmics’ cult classic Sweet Dreams, which is a song I have always loved. When I was on the radio, I played it quite often. When the song kicked in, I immediately recognized that it was a remix to Sweet Dreams, so Kyle had already catch my attention. Kyle then just kills the track. The hook is probably the most catchy out of them all on the whole album. I’ve been singing it to myself all day today. This is one you guys have to check out, and I did put it on YouTube, so if you want to be cool enough, you could share it… and subscribe to Tropico Resistance Army on YouTube ;)

16. World Of Screams Ft. Theory

Track 16: World of Screams featuring Theory

This track is very deep. This song reminds me a lot of my past, and the bullshit I went through. In this track, Kamikazi gets more into his past, and the struggles he’s had to overcome. Kazi talks about his abusive mother and neglectful father. Theory comes with his own verse about his own struggles with his own abusive mother. No one should have to face anything like this, but it shapes people into making shit like this, so it’s creates some positive occasionally. The beat is pretty good. Nothing too terribly special. Hook is pretty decent too. Definitely worth a listen, especially if you’ve been in similar situations.

17. Lose Control

Track 17: Lose Control

Lose Control, Rush Em (Liquid Assassin featuring Kamikazi), and People Are Strange are my favorite tracks by Kazi. Lose Control is a slower deeper track. Almost dreary in sound. The hook on this hypnotizes me. The beat is pretty good. Another one that isn’t like super spectacular, but good. Kyle actually changes his tone for the song, which when I first heard this song (this was another song that was released a couple months ago) thought it was a whole different person. By doing this, it actually fits the tone of the song better. It also kind of shows that Kamikazi is a more open ended artists, which is always good. This song you guys must listen to if you’re going to listen to this album. It is on YouTube. Kamikazi got it up on there for your sexy juggalo painted faces. There is only one thing wrong with this track, and that is that it’s too short. It would have been nice to hear another verse and hook. That does not make the song any worse; just shows that the song was so good, it should have been longer lol.

18. Suicide Note

Track 18: Suicide Note

Juggalos, when any song has anything to do with suicide, I am very very very critical. I am now 24 years old, and have personally known almost 10 people who have killed themselves, as well as survived over a dozen suicide attempts, so when it comes to things like suicidal songs, I would like to be able to relate a little. I don’t want to hear you whine and bitch about the awesome life that you were handed, I want to hear real, deep, and personal emotions. Kamikazi definitely brings that. His flow is really precise on this track, and sounds just perfect. The beat is actually really good. Almost stands out. There is really no hook on this track. Just straight flows ending with a gun shot. It’s a pretty good track. Kind of short, but still pretty good.

19. 7 Demons

Track 19: 7 Demons

The last track is quite unique. Kamikazi flows for like a minute and a half playing different demons from hell. You don’t hear stuff like that too terribly often. It’s almost like an outro skit, but it has an awesome Halloween remix beat, and the production of this track is out of this world. Literally. There isn’t too much to say about this track, but I would definitely listen to it if you’re looking for something a little different and unique.

Wow juggalos, I actually wrote a review. I’m hoping you guys will really enjoy this album as much as I did, and I’m hoping you fuckers will burn that shit and ear rape your friends with it. This is definitely one of the albums you’re going to want to add to your iPod or collection or whatever the fuck you have. I’ve been bumping it all over Minnesota, so if you want to be cool like me (and I know you do), you’ll burn this shit and play it for your friends.

Well with that being said juggalos, I think I’m going to wrap this up. I hope you enjoy the album, and until next time… enjoy…
