Well I hope everyone who goes has a beyond fresh time. Unfortunately, I had to put in for vacation in January and I just went by the past years and put in for August. Since it’s in July, there’s no way I can change it. :( Take lots of pictures and videos so I can live it with you!

Anybody talkin’ shit about the lineup this year needs to do some math…
A baseline ticket costs $180. ONE-FUCKIN’-EIGHTY! For four DAYS!!!
If you take *just the main stage acts alone, the ticket prices to see each of them individually is *easily more than four times that amount and that’s not even including the kind of VIP packages that your $180 automatically gets you (like autograph sessions and seminars and possibly hanging out with them at one of the numerous party opportunities we get).
Anyone talkin’ shit about some of the more unknown/completely unknown artist… you must not like going places that host live music. You may not *know the people at the bar playing music for YOUR enjoyment but there’s a completely different vibe to a place that has real people playing than prerecorded jukebox shit. People pay out the nose at weddings n’shit trying to decide between such things. Besides, that’s how you find NEW shit. You gotta know they didn’t just pull bitches off the street and say, “Hey! Yer playin’ the Gathering!”. Anybody into Boondox better not have that kinda attitude towards it because if it weren’t for that kinda setup, you wouldn’t even *know the man…!
When it comes to music festivals, you CAN NOT top what The Gathering gives you. Fuck Burning Man. Fuck Coachella. Fuck those EDM fests… NONE of them give you the kind of “for the fans/fam” love you get once inside a Gathering. You ain’t haning out with any of those DJs or bands at Coachella…. Oh sure, you might *accidentally find yourself next to some bitchass celebrity but not without them surrounded and with their faces covered like they’re there on some other level than what YOU are there for.
Not to mention, those festivals aren’t for “regular people”. I *DEFY* you to find anyone with a hair out of place or is more than 10lbs overweight (unless they’re on a bad one) in those videos. Even if you don’t like one thing or another, you aren’t gonna be made to feel like shit or not supposed to be there just passing through on your way to the pisser…
I’m psyched to go (if all things happen and work out) and those sour apples talkin’ shit and nitpicking are just trying to make excuses and convince themselves it ain’t worth going when they *know they would if they could.

Alright, alright, all riiiight…!
Now that the infomercial’s out of the way, what’re the odds we get to see an event map *beforehand? I know last year was different in that people got a program with their ticket packages but do you think they’ll keep everyone in suspense till we get to the gates?
Besides that, I’d like to get more of a handle on the general environment. With all these articles coming out about the infomercial mentioning the new location, they’re also making suppositions about changes in the amount of boobage and craziness we’ve come to expect at a Gathering. Is there any way of knowing or finding out how we’re gonna get dealt with?
Like I said, I’m going for the love of the controlled chaos of being amongst the fam… not to worry about my p’s and q’s or about there bein’ snitches in the crowd trying to meet a quota, ya know?

You may purchase GOTJ tickets at the front gate of Legend Valley starting on 23 Jul 2014 at 7 a.m. with cash or credit card (unless they have sold out). In order to purchase a GOTJ ticket online, you will need to click on the Ticket button found on this website. Online purchases can be made with either a credit card or through PayPal. Once purchased you will receive a confirmation email and then a physical GOTJ ticket will be mailed out to you starting on 1 June 2014 (please allow a few days for shipping). Tickets ordered after June 1st will be shipped as soon as they are placed. The GOTJ ticket will have a special bar code to be scanned once you arrive at the front gate of Legend Valley, at which point you will be given a GOTJ program, a special GOTJ metal amulet and a GOTJ wristband at no additional charge.
The GOTJ wristband is not to be removed at any time and is your official pass into and out of Legend Valley (you may come and go as you please). It is good for the entire duration of the GOTJ starting Wednesday July 23rd (at 7am) until Sunday July 27th (at 6pm). Anyone found inside the venue without a GOTJ wristband will be immediately escorted off the property. If you should lose your GOTJ wristband, you should report immediately to the Information Tent. This wristband grants you access to all the concerts, wrestling events, comedian shows, parties, sideshows, competitions, seminars, autograph signings and much more at no additional expense to you.
You may purchase GOTJ tickets from this website up until 14 July 2014. Tickets ordered online after this date will have to be picked up at Will Call located by the front gate of Legend Valley (please make sure to print out your confirmation email to bring with you and a photo ID)

I’m really hoping it’s more than just some kinda paper nightclub sticker thing. Those start to bug the shit outta me by the end of the night let alone having to wear one for four days+ in all kinds’a states of cleanliness/sweat.
