ALL SONGS RECORDED & ENGINEERED BY: FRITZ THE CAT

MIXED BY: ROB REBECK

MASTERED BY: NEIL SIMPSON

Probably explains that while the production sounds pretty nice on this the vocals once again are a bit too low at times

Ive only listened 1 and a half times so far but it definitely doesn't seem like something I'll go back to much or really have any interest in. A pretty forgettable album, not much really stood out. Maybe I'll change my mind though, haven't fully decided how I feel yet.

Definitely a very different sound.

Rob & Fritz went crazy with the vocal effects/shutters, holy shit!  I dig them, the album is kinda growing on me.  It was a huge WTF on 1st spin.  Now on 5th or 6th, its getting better that's for sure.

Monoxide gets faster every project.  Dudes pretty much choppin at this point.

I think it might have to come down to the people who think that twiztid are bitches for leaving psy. I thought the album was good, the slower songs are having to grow on me though.

The first time i listened to the cd it was on my walk to work and when I heard How does it feel part 2, I screamed like a school girl cause i was so happy they "kinda" finished the song. :)

I don't think they're bitches for leaving psy., I do think they're bitches for not marching though. Whether you or I agree with the march or not, Twiztid really should feel obligated to be there to stand up for the juggalos being discriminated against. For them, it shouldn't be about whether it's gonna accomplish anything or if it's for publicity but more about acknowledgement of who's gotten them to where they are now.

That said, I didn't let how I feel about them personally affect my opinion of the music. Honestly, I was expecting much more from this release. Just the fact that it's only 12 tracks seems kinda BS, like it was either rushed or just plain lazy.

12 is kinda light, I believe that's the minimum of tracks you need to have to call it an LP, correct?  Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think that's the number.

12-14 tracks seems to be the norm in the music world now. Especially in the mainstream world, it allows for more singles to get purchased. Take J Cole for example. His new LP had only 9 tracks. Yet it sold as a full price album (which is probably already platinum in a months time) and every track became a single.

Damn 9 Tracks!  He is super dope tho, I dug the fuck outta that Forrest Hill Dr album.  Him and School Boy Q are the main mainstream dudes a fucks with.

Sorry to inform you, but his new album is trash compared to Forrest Hill Drive. As an example, here's G-Mo listening to it:

I got these feelings is easily the worst Twiztid tracks I've ever heard. Other than Come on let's get high, and 1k Hell's to find my heaven I like the entire album. That being said the album doesn't really have a direction and feels normal. I enjoyed the new version of Psychomania adding the entire roster. Overall I'm unsure if I like it more than Darkness. I'm leaning towards no.

I liked it for what it was. Was definitely a step down from Forest Hills Drive.

But G-Mo's review is some of the most retarded one dimensional sheep ass shit I've seen. He called it emo... yet he's signed on the label with the guys that have actually done emo music...

I doubt he even listened to the album or even got the concept. Album was from the perspective of his dead friend telling his daughter his life story.

As for Twiztid's album, I was disappointed. It might grow on me, but I didn't like the mix. Or with Psychomania, the original mix was good, the original version was much better to me. The new mix, the vocals just didn't fit right or something.

Also, I wish they would have separated the skits from the songs like they did on Darkness. I know people would bitch and call half the album skits if they did that, but I don't like having to listen to a skit if I'm not listening to the whole album.

Anyway.....

man I don't know track names.  But I'm prolly the only one that really likes that "pop song" that hook is awesome.  I really dig the whole album, it really grew on me.  That chainsaw skit is funny as hell.

Worst song - Come on let's get high.  Sounds like Mono has been listening to '05 era Bone Thugs in the studio and came up with this horrible song.  WHY?  it sounds like shit, it has no place on the album.  What...you NEED a smoking track on every album?  It just seemed like an obvious throw away track....but Paul said "I'm NOT making another weed song"  there it is, take it or leave it!

Waaaay better than I thought, really.  After reading some of the comments here, then sitting on it for about 5-6 days.  I got it, I bumped it, I liked it.  It is NOT H&H part 2.  This album is 10 times fuckin better.  I didn't like not 1 song on H&H.  Tiny complaint, 12 tracks Twiztid??   C'mon, with an intro and all the other crap.  To me an LP needs to be at-least 14 tracks (real songs).  But yeah great job Twiztid!

MNE's off to a good start this year so far.  Lex put out a classic, in my eyes.  Hell even Vengeance was pretty good.  I'm just stoked that about every month this year where getting something new to bump between both camps.  To be honest, I'm really looking forward to Lyte's album.

Edit:

I'm telling you he's my sleeper pick.  I really think he's gonna surprise a lot of people with his album.  He's gonna go hard on his 1st album coming out on the Hatchet.  He needs to get a Rittz feature on a dope chopper track.

I dug "Come on Let's Get High". They haven't delivered a classic weed track in a while. Wasn't the last one way back on Independent's Day?

These guys sing ("sing") way too much. They can't carry a tune AT ALL but they insist on singing on so many of their songs these days. Back when they started with this crap on Mutant, it was like, OK, they're trying something different, they're not good at it, but it's cool that they tried out something new and it was almost endearing that they kept it on the album when it sounded so bad (songs like "Familiar," etc). But now it's like, still? Ten years later? Also they are not only bad at singing, they are bad at WRITING vocal melodies. It's really strange.

Also the hard rock/metal guitars and shit that they do, you can tell they don't actually listen to ANY heavy metal or hardcore music. I mean, have you EVER heard either of them mention a single band that they like? The closest I've heard is complaining, "Oh, Slipknot doesn't wanna do a track with us." Jamie and Paul couldn't name five Slipknot songs, combined, if their lives depended on it. Still excited for the tour to hit NYC in a few weeks but mostly for nostalgia's sake. Jealous of anyone who's getting a Freektastless show.

Yeah 12 is aight but it's bullshit when they release 5 singles beforehand on a 12 track album. Thanks for the 7 new songs!

thankfully I hadn't been keeping up with them that much as a lot of what they were putting out kinda made me lose interest so really the only tracks i heard prior to the whole album is Kill Somebody and Dead and Gone
