(hi, I'm new here!)
To make a comparison to ICP, I've always felt like ICP were weak rappers with excellent production and an ear for hooks, while Twiztid are dope rappers with hit or miss production and weak hooks. I think that's why I like Dark Lotus so much. Shame that's dead now lol.
first off welcome
clowns are not supposed to be perfect, so it actually makes perfect sense for them to sound goofy during verses.
lotus worked just like 3 6 mafia worked, multiple styles and different voices and personalities makes a song not seem long...this is why tech n9ne usually put himself last on collabos songs, he forced you to listen to the whole song and hear the other artists

Go listen to Blahzay Roze's version of the wicked shit if Twiztid is moving too fast for yall.
thats funny even if twiztids question marks sound worse than 'jabba the hutt sings country classics'.
not that blahzay is that bad, its just that funny.

I forgot to add the crimes juggalos are convinced for are far from petty most are violent felonies like myself. You could say a few bad apples but let's be real the whole tree is rotten and its being watered to the tune of murder and blood shed.
Incorrect word aside, I appreciate your poetic take on the scene. I appreciate it, but it's wrong.
What scruffy said is largely true. The overwhelming majority of Juggalos aren't violent felons. If this were true Gatherings would be more like an as-seen-on-TV Dethklok concert with more crowd participation.
It's closer to a yin/yang scenario- as a matter of fact I love and embrace the dualistic nature of it all- but the truth is the average Juggalo is no more criminal than the average citizen. For every ten Juggalos who are legitimately bloodthirsty in their search for kicks there's ninety more that are gothclown neo-hippies.

the last thing I wanna hear on this album, though it's expected..... is subliminal shots and disses at ICP and Psychopathic. I pre-ordered my copy and it could be in the mail tomorrow or saturday, but c'mon man. lol
No real juggalos or fans of Twiztid/ICP want to see them beef. Nobody wants to see or hear these diss records. I know its entertaining but after all those years we believed in them to be true homies and a movement so many supported - Its not something I wanna see. It's more of an uncomfortable beef since I'd rather it be resolved.
Just sucks that I can't help but point out Twiztid started all this shit by being the way they have been since they left Psychopathic.. By showing true colors or, changing but now feeling themselves so much that they would rather disrespect ICP making Psychopathic the competition than still show the same love, respect and continue what they had going before! regardless of the different labels... I miss Psychopathic Twiztid but they done and said a lot of things that are changing my views on them.
Them dissing ICP or trying to out-shine them doesn't do no good for either group. Doesn't make sense.

Got my copy in the mail today (with the fresh Monoxide ninja star/coaster). Spun through the record once... Devastating!Fuck the haters. Go listen to Blahzay Roze's version of the wicked shit if Twiztid is moving too fast for yall.
theyre moving sluggishly slow to me.. last good song they put out was the place in the woods remix.. if i was george that wouldve been the only song good enough to be on darkness, the rest of the songs wouldve been scrapped for a CC.. at least blahzay's a brand new artist.. twiztid have no excuse for their continuous de-evolution of averageness..

phrased as 'bloodthirsty in their search for kicks', id say that math is about right. but even bloodthirsty for kicks doesnt mean 'bad', to me. not really, actually, evil ass bad.
not one percent of juggalos are truly 'bad', far as i can call it. maybe around one.
many have bad habits or other bad qualities [and i have many, myself]; but fuck, the goody-goodies are loaded with drawbacks, and they get to stay 'good', so.

Ok this is my very first listen through right now as I type this. I'll keep this window open and type in brief first listen initial reactions.
Barely Surviving - Can't help but laugh at the timing of the very first lyric is about being a Juaggalo gang banger. I did not expect the change up in the song at all, I thought it was the next track. Overall kind of cool song, seems like a weird opening track but maybe this will just end up being a weird album, even for them.
Are You Insane Like Me - Already have heard this of course. I like it. The vocal rhythm in the chorus reminds me a lot of "Dig" by Mudvvayne, which is also hilarious because they also look like they are in that band now. But yeah, cool song, I like the guitar tone and the synth work is dope too.
Kill Somebody - We already know this one too. I've seen some people diss on it and that baffles me. I love everything about this song. The video was the shit too. Maybe I'm weird (I am) but how the fuck could you not dig this? The skit at the end was humorous but I'm sure I will skip right past it after this first listen next time I listen to the song.
Dead And Gone - Annnd we know this one too. But I think it's pretty sweet. At this point it's clear they are going for some different sounds and beats than they have done before, and I think it's successful thus far. I wish there was a more prominent/strong hook for this one, because really they got some nice shit going on with this one otherwise.
Black Clouds - The title of this song has interested me, so I'm glad to finally hear it. Definitely not disappointed, this is yet another slightly different sound for them but it works. The changeup at the end was great, kind of trippy.
I Got These Feelings - Madrox recently mentioned in an interview a song (didn't say the title) from this album that Monoxide made the beat for and they loved it but were like "Can we really do a song like this?" and they decided to say fuck it and go for it, this must be it. I honestly don't know what to say about this one. It's like basically a flat out pop song, which that alone is a STRANGE thing for Twiztid. However, I'm so torn, because honestly it's really well done. Like, they sound good doing this, who would have thought? Very conflicted here, but, I respect the choice to put it out like this.
Nothing To You - On the other hand, I've never really dug this song. I have no issues at all with Twiztid doing some rock songs at times, I just don't really feel this one. It's not very original at all like their other songs usually would be, this sounds like a million other things. I like the instrumental actually. The "whoah oh oh oh" shit pisses me off, way overdone in songs these days.
Come On Let's Get High - Been looking forward to this one too. I'm sure a lot of people will dig this song, but it's also pretty unoriginal. I'll listen to this one on 4/20, otherwise, probably won't seek it out much.
1k Hells 2 Find My Heaven - I must admit, I'm not liking these last 3 songs. I'm all about them trying out new things but these things that are new to them are unoriginal in general and sound like a million other things. Their raps are really well done, don't get me wrong, but this was another disappointing track to me.
That's Why They All Hate Us - This is like some rappin' Rob Zombie shit. I think the chorus could have been a little stronger, but it's still fun. Weird song, but I like it a lot. And then it goes into some old school "How Does It Feel?" shit? What the fuck's going on here? Not hating it though!
Psychomania - I am confused by some of the changes they made from the original version. I'm totally on board with the MNE appearances and thought G-Mo especially killed it. But Monoxide's verse in the first one was really cool and yet it's totally different here. Madrox's verse was killer and now I don't even think he has a verse on this at all? What? The chorus is beefed up but I don't think it improves it. I liked the creepy single-vocal track Madrox chorus with the trippy effect. Overall I can still dig this, but it seems like they changed things for the sake of change and it's not better.
Long Road Home - I don't like the chorus but I think the verses are cool. They fall back into that trap of sounding unoriginal in the chorus.
So overall, there are some things about the album I really like and I respect that they continue to grow and evolve. But there are a chunk of songs that almost feel wrong for Twiztid to do. I'm sure some of those will grow on me, but a few I bet I rarely listen to again. I think the comparisons to H&H are definitely the most accurate if trying to make any comparisons. If you're looking for some old school Twiztid wicked shit, it's almost entirely absent on this album for better or worse.

i yet to listen to it in its entirety, but judging from your review, my review would be much shorter, or longer with alot of rambling about why it sucks.
why is kill someday disliked...cuz it was weak. weak verses with a horrible hook. beat was ok but could of been tweeked to stand out better...video was trippy tho
only song i heard that wasnt a single was long road home...that song is soooooo fuckin emo. i almost grabbed a razor and went for the "down the road" approach. imma find it hard to agree with anyone about any song they like if they like this one.
what a shame that twiztid has fell off to me, but then again they havent made anything i can dig in years, so not a total loss.

haha yeah, I wanted to keep it short but kinda got going on a few things there. Yeah "Long Road Home" should not have been released. Like I said, I thought there were some cool moments in the verses but the gayness of the intro and choruses ruins it all.
I know people on here have commented on not liking Twiztid much for a long time, but really, I've enjoyed most of their work up until this point and was really looking forward to this album. I do like some of it but a lot of it was just wrong.

My opinion:
Barely Surviving - first part good, mad hype. Brings me down at the end though. Wish it was swapped.
Are You Insane Like Me - Classic. Shove that into the mutant rock songs or some freakshow.
Kill Somebody - Classic too. Just some nice wicked shit to bump.
Dead And Gone - Had its moments. Indifferent really.
Black Clouds - Dig it. Haven't been in a sad mood in a minute tho. This song is a stand out for sure regardless.
I Got These Feelings - That hook. That hook is shit. Not THE shit. No. Shit. Dig the rest though. I cringed when this track played.
Nothing To You - Another rock classic like earlier. Good shit.
Come On Let's Get High - Classic instantly. Love some feel good weeds songs. Twiztid does it right.
1k Hells 2 Find My Heaven - Meh. It's K. I guess..
That's Why They All Hate Us - Idk, it's k. Like how hype it is. Not quite a banger though.
HOW DOES IT FEEL? - Wig was fucking blown. It continued from the original. Beat slightly changed. Best moment of the album, despite just being a throwback.
Psychomania - Original VIP release was mad dope. This version is, well. Ok. I guess.
Long Road Home - Not memorable. They've had WAY better closing songs. Weak in comparison.

just so you know i ALWAYS look forward to any artists album that i ever liked. just cuz i havent been happy with them for awhile, doesnt mean i want them to release some devastating shit. i love me some twiztid songs, but it sucks they went a different direction then i did.
im just the minority, and they are going after the majority

twiztid has some good weed songs, but as far as doing it right, i dont know. you make it seem like they are godly and no one can fuck with their weed songs.
when it comes to amazing weed songs, they are def not on the top of my mind, but they would get put into rotation at some point.
off topic but i will go on record saying tech n9ne has the worst weed song, even tho its very few. dont believe me, check out the bonus weed song off Killer.
