One thing I took away from listening to Lord Lhus’s latest opus entitled “Underground Stash” is that he truly gives no fucks what anyone thinks about him or the music he makes. Lord Lhus comes off as the type of person you’d love to hate his style is reminiscent of the classic new york boom bap sounds of the 90s but mixed with the intelligent rhyme styles of Kool G Rap or Jus Allah just a little more vigorous and crazier.

Lhus is a lyrical wizard on standout tracks like Tragedy where he speaks on topics like STD’S and Sniffing coke to the extent that you can feel yourself in his shoes a talent that does not get slept on in my books. Friday The 13th is my favorite track on the stash collection from the opening snares of the hard hitting production by SCRP and from Lhus’s crazy wordplay  this is the type of stomp you in the face with black boots hiphop that the mainstream rap world has been missing out on but remains very much alive within the tunnels of the underground.

His production choices are top notch proving that he has the ear for classic material and the sample choices of his producers are genius for example the beat break of the neck snapping” ZZ TOP” is the break dance roof top type track that will make any hiphop head break out the cardboard and toss on the headphones and absord the lyrical mastery from Lhus and his co-emcees on the track Influenza and PSL.

In conclusion with 19 tracks to enjoy of quality hiphop, picking up this project  would be a wise choice if you enjoy lyrics, beats and good music.
