Double D, Lord Ezec, Danny Diablo, whatever it is you may call him you know that he’s been putting his neck bending Thugcore blend down since 1994. Well now it’s thirteen years later and the shot blockin, glock cockin kid from Queens, NY is here to present his newest dabbling “Thugcore 4 Life”. This album has a blend of many different sounds. There’s East, West, and Mid-West hip-hop sounds, as well as various hardcore sounds from around the way. Fusing a type of thug essence in his raps, with the hardcore driven guitar riffs and drums he’s wig splitting and hoe hitting and you should check it out.

Making appearances on this working is Daddy X(KMK), Stress & Havok (Subhoodz), Prince Metropolitan, Ceekay, & Panic(Shotblockers), Skinhead Rob, Slaine, Big Left, Danny Boy(La Coka Nostra), and let us not forget Necro, there is bound to be at least one song that you could dig. It starts out with a hard driving force melting your stereo. Then Diablo shows us his rhyme skills f’sho on the track “Funky Rhyme” (ft. Daddy X, Stress, and Havok) showing you where he’s come from if you’ve followed his career.

What I really liked about this album was how each project he’s had a hand in is showcased so well on their tracks. “I’m a Shotblocker!!!” is one of my favorite tracks off the album because it has a kid of laid back feel to the beat, and the way the words fall from the mouths of the MC’s is quite well. The track that I found most appealing though was “Mechanix”. Soul Assassins, Dirty Money Syndicate, and Psychological Records on one track together, this track is hands down the best on the album. The word play on it leaves those listening stupid like an autistic group of Jerry’s kids.

Yet the thing I wasn’t able to get into a whole bunch was the sound of “Jersey White Trash”. I just don’t like that kind of Rock. The subject is hilarious and the lyrics are funny as fuck, I just hate that kind of music sound, I dig the hip-hop way more. But that’s just me.

Lord Ezec has done more than one or two things in the last fifteen years, I mean c’mon, he’s an International Hardcore Superstar, that’s hard to achieve. He managed to do it, I give him props. If you like Danny Diablo’s older shit, check this out it’s by far a good working I think. If you have no idea who I’m talking about check out his myspace then go get the album. If you don’t like him oh well bro, read a book or something.
