1. Intro – Track starts off as a soft whipping wind then a dark mysterious voice starts talking about the Lotus. 2 Dope starts singing the hook laced with the winds and reversed talking in the beginning then later you start to hear the other 4 members chanting various lines to the haunting beat. Pretty dope intro if you ask me, definitely something to start a big album like this off to, but what I noticed is that it is you love it or hate it but I think it’s dope, just didn’t really feel the bridge even though the rest of it made up for it.

2. In The Bloom – Just like the previous Dark Lotus records, Madrox is definitely back on point with the choruses and is a big element of Lotus. My favorite part of this track is that besides the hook, Monoxide’s verse is very different because he changed up his voice, big time. I didn’t even recognize who it was at first, it is more quiet, little faster with a different natural effect which I can’t really describe but if you ask anyone else who listened to it they would probably say the same and agree. Everyone’s verses sounds straight but Madrox and Monoxide definitely stood out to me the most.

3. Follow The Leader – Slower creepin’ track with heavy drums which fits the mood and concept. Jamie Madrox on the chorus again with Blaze and does a great job of making it sound like some straight voodoo shit. Not my favorite song off the LP but it isn’t something to skip over.

4. Black Sand – My favorite song so far on the album. Good pace track, not slow like the previous songs, flows well on the beat, would have made a perfect single to promote the CD. Probably one of the dopest concepts created and would make a nice music video. Madrox’s chorus fits well and is the highlight of the track.

5. Can You Keep a Secret? – Instead of just 1 verse each they flipped it up so each “petal” has multiple verses and it reminds me of a song off “Tales From The Lotus Pod”. This track is about each of them confessing different murderous, heartless, criminal, vicious acts to you the listener and then them asking you “Can You Keep A Secret?”. Beat fits well under all of them whispering out their verses. Another straight slow wicked shit song, there isn’t too many slow murder type of songs that I’m into but this is listenable.

6. Heinous – From the track’s name, it is exactly what you think it is about. Violent J and once again Jamie Madrox is singing on the hook, but I like Jamie’s part the most, for some reason the voice he decides to use on this one fits the most on it, especially under the beat. Violent J and Monoxide’s verses stands out the most to me. This track next to “Can You Keep A Secret?” sounds the most different than the past Lotus songs off the previous CDs. At first I didn’t feel this track but after more and more listens it starts to grow on me more.

7. Backwords – One of my favorite choruses next to the one of “Black Sand”. This would have made a dope opening song towards more of the beginning of the CD. Song is about straight destruction and reeking havoc with each of the Petals spitting descriptive verses of each of them doing different random acts of violence.

8. Keep Up – Heart lifting track which is a first one this CD. It’s talking about something about running through the fire if you ask me. I think it has more of a deeper meaning then what you hear on the surface. Amazing song, everyone is on point with their verses and the beat is one of the best so far. The chorus is one of my favorites along with the past ones that I’ve noted, with the effects and singing laced with other petals contributing. Nothing to sleep on.

9. Witch Trapped In The Song – If you read my past reviews, you can tell I’m a big fan of concepts and this is one that is on point. Each petal has effects on their voices to make it sound like something like white noise and makes the mood feel more realistic. The hook isn’t nothing big even though it isn’t bad at all but the highlight of this song is going to have to be the verses, everyone once again is descriptive and hits the target.
8 / 10

10. Opaque Brotherhood – Title track, self explanatory. Talks about the “Opaque Brotherhood” and each petal describes themselves. Even though this song is the average time length it goes by fast because half the song is a chant-like chorus which is in my opinion the highlight of the track. Once again it’s a slow type of song and is kinda too slow for my taste, this would have made a dope Intro to start off the CD towards the beginning.
7.5 / 10

11. Hot Poison – In this track they describe their music as “Hot Poison” and from everywhere from Hell, to locations where they build Pyramids that they bump “Hot Poison”. You could label this as the new Lotus anthem that you would probably hear being chanted by Juggalos in the crowd. The creative hook is the highlight of the track. Not one of my favorite tracks but I wouldn’t consider it a filler, a little too slow for my taste.
7.8 / 10

12. Falling – Song is about whispers and strange voices influencing the petals to end their life by jumping. I’m starting to like this track because it isn’t as slow as some of the other tracks and is a pretty good song. The chorus is pretty creative because under the singing the beat turns into some siren type of sound wave that to me kind of represents the craziness going into the head of each of the members. The verses are on topic and they each bring their own point of view of what they see before they take that step and start “Falling”.
8 / 10

13. Trapped Inside – The production on this one makes one of the best beats so far. This is the first song that has a sample as the chorus of two people being puzzled of where they are, I don’t know where it is from but while it plays Violent J is in the backround singing about there is no escape. I’m guessing it is about going insane and not leaving a state of mind that they will forever be in. Not bad of a concept song.
8 / 10

14. Withered – Mmm ending tracks, I think all of us really enjoy the closing songs that Psychopathic makes because usually they end well and on point just like this one. For some reason I feel the same vibe as when I heard “Thy Unveiling”, “Angel Like”, and “Nothing’s Left”, that might not make sense but I feel it. Nicely laced guitars and drum pattern fits well under the verses. From this song you can tell how much they’ve matured compared to the past Dark Lotus records. Nicely paced and I know I’ve said this a lot but, Madrox stands out on this one again because his verse is quick and still kept his darkened “psych voice” as people call it and brings that even deeper meaning to the track especially that he is the last petal to spit on the entire CD if you don’t count the repeated chorus of course.
10 / 10

Anyone who likes that slow murderous wicked shit will love this for that this CD has a good amount of. And anyone who likes Dark Lotus in general will enjoy this CD, along with people who enjoy deep meaning concepts.
