The blood red moon has come and gone, and now it is the night of the blue. As prophesized twelve thousand years ago by a Chinese Mystic the five pedals have spread leaving that is known as The Lotus in full bloom. This is not only one of the most organic, beautiful sites for a mortal to have bestowed in front of them; it is also one of the deadliest. The pedals contract and ball up into the form of one. Five pedals form one solid figure of a fist to deliver this album as a sucker punch on the chins of those who never thought it would happen again. Far ahead of their time, it’s time to follow these journeymen into the ever-spinning spiral known as existence. Upon this journey we now find where The Lotus is taking us, The Opaque Brotherhood. A band of misfits and freaks of the night with one mission: spreading the message of the Lotus to the masses.

Through the Tales from the Lotus Pod and even sitting out in the Black Rain the wait for the Opaque Brotherhood was well worth it. The Production all over this whole concept is the shit, wig splitting, and it is also very entrancing. The way the collected pedals as a whole come together their product is nothing short of spectacular.

“We’re so ahead of our time” as, said on ‘In Bloom’ is not only a slick hook it’s straight fact. Individuals have many things going on for them in their main paths they follow; yet when under the Lotus it seems those talents are magnified and enhanced. This is strictly an all-Psychopathic production. There are no outside influences, other than supernatural. What do I mean? I mean that it was recorded in the Lotus Pod and lyrics written by DL. Produced, engineered, mixed, and edited by Dark Lotus with the help of behind the scenes ninjas like Akuma and Eric Davie.

Compared to the previous releases of this proclaimed “super-group” The Opaque Brotherhood is the best fit for the next installment in the darkest reaches known as the Dark Carnival. The sound on this CD, like the others, is straight wicked and dark. The darkest rhymes and lines are dropped by these individuals for us to pick up and heed as a warning or as a well-delivered message for us to act upon. You take it how you take it. All I know is I can keep the secret with the whispers in my ear, so I’m going to keep hyping it up and bumping this shit like I’m supposed to.

Embedded in the lyrics is nothing out the norm for PSY a large amount of violence, blood, and gore to quench that thirst until you feel the need for a new CD to drop. Also many of the rhymes have different meanings behind them all you have to do is read behind the lines. Peep tracks like ‘Witch trapped in this song’, ‘Keep Up’, ‘Hot Poison’, and ‘Withered’. Bottom line juggalos, juggalettes, and lovers of the Wicked Shit you should get up and get this, the CD is bomb and you most definitely need to check it out at least once.
