“It’s a 6-i-beat” and its definitely something fresh. Coming from Colombus, Ohio is a young buck who’s opened up for ABK and has performed at a few record release parties in the metro Colombus area, Mr. 6ix. Not much is known but word on the street says that experience is the key in making the levels increase. So starting with the basics is like anyone in the game could start is with his debut album “Level 1”, all recorded and produced by Mr. 6ix himself (with the exception of “Make It Bump” produced by, Simulation of a Life) at home studio in what he calls “The Syke Ward”. So let orginality take over and let’s explore Level 1.

1. Welcome (w/ Prophet)
6ix comes out with an appropriate welcome to our listeners with a smoke and some of that Lil Wayne “fire”….but I think that the person on the phone at the end will have something to say about that….

2. Change The Game
“Boys and girls of every age, would you like to see something strange?” The single released on his myspace page and became pretty popular on the internet waves, as well as myspace music. 6ix comes correct with a realistic introduction to who he is and what he’s about, something most musicians out there should really be about in their music rather than being hard and gangstalicious. Great to bump and the chorus and hooks are quite catchy.
4 / 5

3. Undisputed
Like most good artists should do, getting back to basics with confidence with simple beats and spittin’ like a ruler on the throne. Great like an old-school-esque rap song that most artists don’t even do anymore.
3 / 5

4. Irrate (feat. Devious T and Prophet)
A hater’s anthem meant to tell a hater to fuck off! Given to three midwest artists with a hint of light Dr. Dre-like production laced up with the fresh and talented Devious T and Prophet. So part like the Red Sea, grind on your own time slow paced no hurry and don’t hate because they’re irrate!
4 / 5

5. No Time (Jealousy)
“Envy is a sin but jealousy human”. Walkin’ tall equipped with rubber gloves and drawing lines like an animator, 6ix’s flow is heavy like an elephant and production is upbeat and becoming shaper! At this point, he’s at “Level 1.5”.
4 / 5

6. Keep Me Wired
A phone sex track….this is different! Very original! Good for a fuck session for anyone out there bumpin’ and humpin’ out there, you’ll find a G-spot of eargasims and sexual healing! Sounds like what Keith Sweat could do if his style was blended with Lil Wayne.
5 / 5

7. Evolution
Going with a little more of a darker sound, 6ix lyrically preaches in the first person view of what any artists tries to do when paying dues in this game. Taking hits and hitting back.
3 / 5

8. Movin’ On – Pianos play and melancholy arrays in this deep and personal track, touching on the fruits of life that is a relationship that ends sour. The song speaks for itself and like life itself, real.
5 / 5

9. Psykotik (feat. J-Frost)
We’re all a little crazy and the duo of 6ix and J-Frost spit a some wicked shit for y’all horrorcore enthusiasts out there. Lyrically it’s more of the off set tracks out there and that’s not a bad thing. The song has an old-school ICP flow and production with some new school lyricist definition.
3 / 5

10. Grind Time – “Life is like riding a skateboard. Either you ride and grind or you fall and bust your ass”
Is it me or does 6ix take music lessions from Mike Peezy and Tech N9ne? Motivated with positive words he calls “6ix’s ambition”, this beat has a “Juggalo Anthem” aura and an “Everybody Move”. Set on gettin’ his, get set and get yours in life! It’s time for you to grind!
5 / 5

11. Make It Bump – “It’s a Simulation beat, mu-fucka!”
This track is a banger and it’s damn sure to be a favorite of mine. 6ix and Simulation bring us something to bump and split wigs to. Simulation came correct with a Freekshow-era beat and schooled it! Bump your head until you break your vertabrae!
5 / 5

12. Monstas Anthem (feat. Devious T)
6ix and Devious T calls upon all underground followers and have them bow down to the monsters! Short but sweet and definitely another favorite!
4 / 5

13. Illin’ Killin’ (bonus promotional track) – “Muthafucka I’m I’ll, I’m I’ll!”
One of 6ix’s promotional tracks that was available for a limted time on his myspace page and now it’s here! The beat? Jacked straight up but still fresh! Mainstream hip hop fans’ll recognize this track right off the bat! Wicked shit? You be the judge!
3 / 5

14. A Scrubz Rize (bonus promotional track)
Another promotional track, another beat jacked solely for the love of music. Again you mainstream hip hop fans’ll recognize this beat right off the bat! Some freshness right here definitely!
4 / 5
