Since DJ Clay’s arrival into the Juggalo world he has been quite the busy guy. Always touring with various Psychopathic Records artists as a live Mixxmaster, he’s laid down some quality production on recent releases, and finally has put out a project of his own style. A mixxtape. Not just any kind of mixxtape like Lil’ Wayne, Young Jeezy, or any of them bitches would put out; this is a mixxtape of straight up Psychopathic Shit. There is no constant sound or any specific theme he’s trying to stick with except deliver to the Juggalos what the want to hear.

Now not only is this the first official dropped thing from Clay while affiliated with the hatchet; it’s the first release on Hatchet House from its debut artist. The way I see it is that the double H is just Psychopathic’s little brother in the music industry, so how could the little brother do something brand new without the help of the big brother? You know what that means, every-motherfukcing-body from the hatchet is alive, kicking, and representing that Detroit funk giving no fucks if it makes it’s way to your trunk.

First DJ Clay continues to show us that he considers himself a triple-threat by kicking it off with one of his own tracks, “Follow Me”. Whether you feel the same way about him is your own decision. Scratching right into the next track is the multiple-batman personalitied man himself, Jamie Madrox with “Let ’em Know” to put down and show how much family love he’s got. After select tracks you hear the various artists along with random promotions of W.FuckOff Radio, this projects like a pre-recorded radio program, I think it’s fresh. Shaggy 2 Dope steps up next to let Clay remix the track “Alley Rat” to deliver you the blows again from The Tempest. What kind of CD would it be if you heard Shaggy, but no J to be found somewhere close by? A solo EP probably, if that. Naw I’m just fucking around with y’all. Really though, Shaggy does have solo tracks on this album. He also displays his production skills by remixing ICP’s own “Get ya Wicked On”. But next is Violent J to show us his newest homies of Gumps and Freaks; “Frankenstein”.

Now what this furiously, ferocious, vinyl spinning body snatcher does next is something nobody had heard before, EVER, until the release of the sampler for this shit. A track with Esham released under the Hatchet, since the falling out from Soopa Villainz, with Boondox the Skarcrow rockin’ cursed verses to make “I Murder”. If you don’t have a chance to get the Toxic Terror EP from not attending the tour, and you don’t wanna be shitty and download it, Clay tries to help you out by delivering you “The Sickness” which is basically ISI, but otherwise known as Twiztid and Blaze ya Dead Homie. It for sure lives up to the title, this shit is straight sick and if you caught the tour, it shows you why your medical bills are piling up, “The Sickness” is spreading.

Again, Clay continues the non-stop wig-flipping extravaganza with playing the Twiztid beats’ “Fall Apart” and “Die motherufcker Die” while having Shaggy and the ROC spit all over them like they had a lisp. Both take each track and make it their own, while keeping it eerily, freshly, and awesomely throwback to a yesteryear. At the same time whilst jumping back and forth between times had and the times we have yet to experience lyrics get spit, wigs get split, and new talent is brought up. DJ Clay and his homie Bailz from the SouthWest D-Town on some murder shit, “Kill 4 You”, on the “Blaze Up” beat. Bailz is someone new I haven’t hear of, but I also live under a rock so, I don’t know. But I know that this dude sounds a lot like Blaze.

This mixxtape has a bunch of different sounds by your favorites on the label that runs beneath the streets. Pick it up, dub a copy, steal it, do whatever you gotta do to get your listening fix and tell us what you think about it.
