I’m happy to express my feelings about another excellent release by The Skar-Crow Boondox by the name of “Krimson Creek”, his 2nd full length album on Psychopathic. I was mad surprised about how great this LP was that I wanted to take time out to do a track-by-track on it to convince all you ninjas to BUY IT!

Here we go, lets visit “Krimson Creek”

1. Intro – A mysterious character with deep moans walks through what it sounds like a place where it is covered with dry leaves as he crushes them to a “Creek” to dump what it sounds like something heavy. I would guess a body. While a creeping guitar is being strung New reports of domestic violence is being reported with distortion laced with noises of the “Krimson” water splashing about then all of a sudden a muffled voice singing starts the beginning of it all.

2. Country Life – This song is like “Out Here” off his first LP but way darker if you will. It is basically what the title says, about the life style that Boondox is accustomed to and is the first coming from that culture to be swinging the hatchet. The “Skar-Crow” paints a vivid picture, definately something that is music video material. Good hook but the verses are what’s up. Behind this haunting beat it is already one of Boondox’s best tracks and I just got to the first song.
9 / 10

3. Untold Unwritten – Wow, this song is amazing, it would have made a great closer but I’m glad it is towards the beginning of the CD. This song is about struggling throughout his life and he makes a very controversial reference to “Seven” about being one of 7 children which I wouldn’t mind hearing more about. Even though this track is 3:58 I felt like it was too short because I wanted to hear more of his story. Amazing hook which wraps up the gist of the song and descriptive verses on the mood setting beat.

4. Inbred Evil – He brings back the “PunkinHed” voice which fits the concept and name of the song. Scary movie type of skit in the beginning and this is definately “That Wicked Shit”. With the guitar that has your nodding your head you have your mouth open to Boondox’s delivery of the lyrics then finding yourself chanting the chorus that I’m sure is going to be something that all the scythe swinging Juggalos spit back at him at all the future shows. Wicked verses with a wicked hook to live up to a vicious story.
9 / 10

5. Freak Bitch (Feat. Violent J) – Haha, the beginning skit is what I’m guessing sampled from a “Porn Star Interview” about “squirting” which sets the mood pretty interestingly lol. You guessed it, something to notice is that he still kept that murderous type of flow and beat which I’m guessing is by Darkeonz? Shout outs to Darkeonz by the way. What I noticed about his songs about sex is that he always keeps it horror like, from “Rollin’ Hard” to “Dead Neck” with Blaze he keeps it wicked which I like. Violent J up on this track. Like what he’s know for he spits those funny bars, especially for this concept but his verse isn’t that long.
9 / 10

6. Heathen – A more fast paced track with a nice guitar and drum beat to have your head nodding to like a bobble head in an earth quake. Boondox is here uplifting up your spirits spitting about living the good life, being laid back and “being wicked” from coming from nothing. Songs like these separate him from the other Psychopathic artists and other horrorcore emcees in general. Highlight of this track is the chorus and the verses are pretty dope especially with the flow he uses. This is more of the Hill billy swamp watah wicked shit! EEEYAAAWWW!

7. Walking After Midnight (Feat. Insane Clown Posse) – “Walking After Midnight” with the Wicked Clowns. The beat is definately because it is a bit slower than the others but it fits the mood perfectly. Song is about the name title of course and 2 Dope takes this song and murders it in my opinion. All three paint pictures with their rhymes that come out to a nightmarish night. The hook is alright, not as good as the other ones I’m afraid. Song is something you have to listen to more to have grow on you. This would have gotten a lower rating but Shaggy’s verse made up for it.

8. Love Hate – Whoa, this beat is straight insane. Another sweet guitar riff laced with something that I can’t explain but sounds good lol. Something to realize is that Boondox’s voice is slightly different as in tone of his voice and it sounds fresh. This song is a straight about Juggalo pride which there is atleast one per Psychopathic album. And like the title says, it’s either you hate or love the ninjas and either way they DGAF!. “Rock a fxcking hatchet and we represent the underground!”. A lot darker than the usual Juggalo Loving songs which helps prove that Boondox still keeps it wicked.

9. Cold Cruel World – The beginning of this song is a sample of different people talking about their personal problems, disabilities, etc. This is something that people can definately relate to. The chorus is simply amazing and it talking about living in his own private hell. Once again he paints mental pictures of his past negative experiences. Good mood fitting beat but the hook and chorus are the highlights of this track.
10 / 10

10. Straight Outta The Crops – Another southern pride track which is one of the many things Boondox is known for. Something I really look forward to on songs like these are the beats and this one is a bangah. The hook is something unique and very different than the past songs and this would make a great single or a music video.
9 / 10

11. Outlaw – Doc Holiday of the wicked shit haha. Good track, probably one of my top 5 songs on this whole CD. Walk through the mind of a ruthless southern bandit with a 6 shootah on his side! Dope song, I like the hook the most because it’s the highlight of the song. Good beat, something really different and the verses sound like something off a movie, dude can really tell stories.
10 / 10

12. Path I Walk – A personal track about taking your own path to walk on and how life is a struggle especially for Boondox. He has a great singing voice and he expresses that talent on the chorus which is probably the best hook off this LP. Great beat with a guitar and head swifting drum pattern and the verses are uplifting. The best song to listen to when you’re upset about something and want to clear your mind.
10 / 10

13. Trailer Park Creepin’ (Feat. Violent J) – Something sampled off “America’s Most Wanted”, I can tell from the host’s voice lol. I like the drum pattern on this song a lot because it makes the beat that much better. Another “Hilly Billy swamp water” tale coming from the Skar-Crow! EEYAAW lol jp. The hook has the infamous Violent Violent J of the Insane Clown Posse then it’s Boondox again singing it up then goes back to painting up the story of runnin’ from the law!
8.5 / 10

14. Fear (Feat. Blaze & Monoxide) – Now lets set the jokes aside and make path for a personal trip with The Dead Man and The Chainsmoker. Boondox’s flow and delivery sounds dope and this is the perfect song to have Blaze and Monoxide with their distorted, specially effected vocals on for they slaughter this beat life if this was recorded at a butcher shop. Something to note is that Mono’s voice and flow kind of reminds me of how he sounded on the latest Dark Lotus CD at certain points.
10 / 10

15. Death Of A Hater (Feat. Madrox) – Another beast of a beat to end the album and it’s up in your face behind the Skar Crow, Madrox and the great sounding lady on the hook. Jamie makes references to his first solo CD back in the early days of House Of Krazees and spits a very gruesome verse which you have to hear to know what I’m speaking of. Very good word play on this song and Boondox’s lyrical skill shows on this song the most. Very powerful song and it felt like it passed by so quickly for real, great album closer and is soon to become a fan favorite..
10 / 10

Is This Boondox’s Best Release?: This is definately without a doubt his best release and shows that he gets better and better whenever he’s in the Lotus Pod recording something new.
