The Deadman is back and Blaze always returns as a force to be reckoned with in the underground. Leaving all who stand in his way riddled with bass dropping sounds that crack the planet’s surface like a magnitude 10 earthquake. So let’s break it down track by track and see what the production sounds of Mike E. Clark and Violent J have brought to blend with everyone’s favorite dead thug.

1. Intro
Starts with someone putting an APB on Blaze’s ride….sets the tone for banger

2. Back From the Dead
Didn’t Blaze already have a track called “Back From the Dead” on his self titled EP? Well guess who’s back on the scene! Blaze bringing that wicked gangsta shit laced with Mike E. Clark’s musical touch is quite a nice touch. Good way to open up this bangin’ album!

3. Swine Flu
This track’s instrumental kinda brings us some classic 90’s style hip-hop style, reminiscent of some Mark Morrision (Return of the Mack). Blaze tells about catching the swine flu….and we’re talking about the pigs wearing a badge! Blaze gets some payback on some crooked cops and like a straight up gangsta after killing a cop, “just a bunch of thugs pissin’ on your grave!”. Probably my favorite verse in the whole song. Great track!

4. Dead Man Walking
And we’re not talking about The Undertaker! The album continues with the beats keeping the pace and walking tall. I see this track being a favorite being performed live, “Walk-walk-walk it out!”. Blaze’s flow and voice are not low but not high, mid paced and toned to perfection.

5. Ridin’ The Whip (featuring the Kottonmouth Kings)
Blaze and the Kottonmouth Kings team up and bring us a slower, more bass bumpin’ track that’ll surely blow your speakers. The Deadman rides it like a Cadillac from Motown to So. Cal, blazin’ trees with the Kings. This is the kinda beat that perfectly blends west coast and east coast styles and flows perfectly. D-Loc brings it laid back, Richter brings it live and up beat, Daddy X brings it at the same pace Blaze does, while The Dirtball rips and tears it like a machine gun.

6. Dub Sack
What’s a good Blaze album without a track for the bud smokers out there? I honestly think that this track could’ve been a little better musically. Blaze always delivers however, bringing the flows at a steady pace without his dual voice, which is a nice plus. Features AMB on the chorus, adding frosting on the cake. A dub sack a day will take the pain away!

7. Another B&E
A thug makes his livin’ breaking and entering, pillaging and killin’ anyone in his way. Blaze takes us on a journey of breaking and entering. Reminds me of Violent J’s “Home Invasion” only, the instrumentals are a keeping a faster tempo and low bass and is told through the person invading someone’s house. The track’s suspense is what kept me in tuned to this awesome track. Let your inner burglar run wild with this one and load your loot in your sac!

8. Damn Bitch (featuring The Dayton Family)
We get a musical introduction similar to some Bang Pow Boom melodies as Blaze, The Dayton Family find some hood rats and try to get some neden. Dayton Family shows some juggalo and juggalette love while lyrically ripping it with some sexual fantasies. Almost serves as a sequel (non canonical) to “Hood Ratz” and “Roll It Up”. The biggest downside is the track could’ve been just a little longer, it felt too short.

9. Monster Inside
A guitar riff opens up the song with Blaze telling a story about a killer, going on a killing spree. Now many times Blazes has rapped about a thug going on a killing spree but this track feels more like Blaze rapping with ICP lyrics. Now this could go both ways good or bad. The verses go much like “Timeline” from Colton Grundy, but with verses that Violent J would most likely rap to. The hook, not so much of Blaze’s strong point in this track. I’ll let you be the judge on this track.

10. Party Till We Get Arrested (featuring ABK)
A hood party is always good to go with a 40oz of O.E., some weed, girls and good music. Blaze shows up to a party with his high tops party hopping and not worrying what a cop says. We’ve all partied too hard and Blaze and ABK bring us some old Dirty History and some 1 Less G era party style tracks. Feels like a nice throwback to the old school Drive By before The Prelude.

11. Another Birthday (featuring Insane Clown Posse)
“How about a birthday? Fuck another funeral. We only get to live one time, ya know?”.

This song really brings some positive vibes that all juggalos should share with one another, even the ones that always hate on others. ICP brings us some Bang Pow Boom style lyrics, focusing on some positivity. Not since The Wraith, Blaze and ICP were “Bitchslappaz”, they’re on the opposite end wishing for everyone to live another day, another year. Definitely sure to be a crowd favorite!

12. Holy Shit
LOL Okay, just this title is funny but it’s got a nice ring to it. Blaze shows up, everybody knows his name and all he has to roll up and everybody’s like, “Holy shit!”. Very creative and this is one I would love to hear live. I can see the family in a crowded venue yelling HOLY SHIT! Kinda like Blaze’s take on the Wraith’s “Blaaaaaam!”. Always good to see more positive tracks from the Deadman.

13. Lights Out
I believe we all read on Violent J’s twitter account about him writing a track called “Lights Out”. Blaze gives us some flavor that Dark Lotus would lace up. The sun goes out like a candle and causes some turmoil among the people. Blaze watches how the panic spreads and paints a supernatural picture of a dark world. Interesting choice if you ask me.

14. Wicked Sorcerer (featuring ABK and Violent J)
Now this is just out of left field. Much like this entire album, it’s different and it’s fresh! This track fucking rocks! Literally, with some new age Lotus flavor that is brought with ABK and Blaze taking us back with some Lotus Pod and some Black Rain lyrical styles, with rock guitars rippin’ up the hexes! This one is sure to get a mosh pit started.

15. Tokyo Spa
Okay, this is one unorthodox way to end a Blaze album. The Deadman takes us to a little Japanese massage spa, with a little curiosity. This track is funny, much like a sequel to “Eggplantz”, this track is hilarious. All the sexual innuendos that are paid for a nice little….well big happy ending. You’ve got to hear this one, it’s a living comedic, hip-hop musical….and I’m not one for musicals.

Overview: This album definitely provided the most variety of tracks, much like 1 Less G in the Hood did with styles of rap. Blaze never ceases to disappoint when it comes to a new record. The production of Mike E. Clark and Violent J was quite different and sweet as well, although at times it felt like Blaze rapped with ICP’s lyrics and music style. This album is definitely worth both the CD and the rag of your choice.
