This EP with five new songs and an intro was first spoken about shortly after The Tempest tour was underway. It’s a mythical CD with outtakes (except for the last song, which J released on his program “The Witching Hour” from WFuckoff Radio) from The Tempest that is ‘supposedly’ better than The Tempest itself? Where can you get one such thing? For months the only place you were told to tangibly cop that bitch was at the GOTJ07. When Aug. 9, 2007 rolled around and them few thousand juggalos who gathered at Hog Rock in Cave-In-Rock, Illinois soon found out what had awaited them.

Throughout the next four days I heard two very different/split opinions about this little stint. Either it was “The Shit, and should’ve replaced The Tempest” or “This is whack, it’s the Calm pt. 2” this album definitely got love whether it be bad or good.

I can see where the people are coming from saying it’s the shit and should not have been scratched from the project. The sound has songs where it’s both of the clowns and then each get their own song. Their rap styles both have changed since back in the days of South-West Detroit, but their lyrical content has grown nuttier and sillier.

Yet I can also feel the juggalos who say this is just The Calm pt. 2. It short, but then again it’s only an EP. I.C.P.’s rapping has changed dramatically and it’s almost not the same as it was once upon a time ago. Some of these tracks have nothing to do with the wicked shit at all and leave one(s) scratching their dome.

I liked two of the songs off of it honestly; ‘High-Rise’ and ‘Scatter Brain’. There’s something about the way the music, melody, and lyrics all flow together in ‘High-Rise’ that has left me entranced leaving the repeat button on most of the time.

For ‘Scatter Brain’, as J says, “It’s one big organized cluster fuck!” It’s nonsensical and goofy, true clown style. If you read “Behind the Paint with Hobey Echlin”, then you should remember J talking about a local rapper, Danny K, and how he only rapped to rhyme and it didn’t make sense. That’s why I love this song so much, not only does he give props to DK by mentioning his name, but also pays homage by using a rhyme style a half-retarded, undead Martian could use.

I’m sure as soon as you seen it you probably bought it, if you run with a hatchet. Then again if your half down because of your older brothers stereo bumpin’ too loud then buy your own shit and bump them true scrub style hoey!
