Recently in the wake of the bombs being dropped in the form of a ‘Blast from the Past’ from the Subnoize Souljas the Kottonmouth Kings are getting ready to drop a brand new concept album and what a better way to help the avid Sub Noize fan pass the time then to drop a new project to add to your collection; The Double Dose Package: volumes 1-3. Each CD is in it’s own right the KMK’s own version of ‘Blast From the Past’.

It’s a package set that takes the listener back to a time of yesteryear when the Kings were first making their mark and getting their start. When the open road was something new and the albums were being made with no stopping in sight. Since the time these original presses were released the Kings have since ventured out and formed their own record label aside from what they were originally signed, Capitol Records. The ownership to the masters of the original tracks or albums on Hidden Stash 1, Hidden Stash 2, The Endless Highway DVD, and The Dopeumentary. The Kings have found that the original copies to these titles are long since gone in the record stores and are trying to put their older matierial in the hands of their newer fans.

Included with the package as well is a bit of flavor no one fan, veteran and rookie alike probably wouldn’t have, the original Dopeumentary. The very FIRST dvd the group had ever shot for release, something that they had made while Saint Dog was still apart of the group and Johnny Richter had not quite come into his own. It includes footage from the road never seen, in the early days, as well as a few music videos along the way that could have only been seen if you found it online in the deepest darkest corners of deep, cyber space. Upon completion of the video however, Saint split and Richter stepped up. In these actions, their newly acquired label, Capitol Records, had coerced the Kings into refilimg the DVD to showcase new member, Johnny Richter, to see the fans reaction to the new lineup.

As far as the albums go with this deal are the original copies of the Hidden Stash’s 1 and 2, along with that you get a bonus disc of all newly, remastered remixes that the group likes to bump while out on that ‘Endless Highway’ touring the country side, Monday throught Friday. Of course the remix disc is all music of their own and it’s a little something something the Kings would like to give back to the fans that have given them so much over these past 15 or so years. If you’ve already got these originaly albums download the DVD if you want, if not and you’re trying to get on your KMK knowledge acquisition then by all means cop all 3! I’m a fan of the scene so you know I’m going to go grab em’ UP!
