Necro- noun. [‘nek-(“)rO] – Self-made underground superstar, one who reps a sound all his own demolishing sound barriers

He’s been around rapping, ripping the eardrums out of his fans heads since 1999 with the power driven force of his record label Psycho+Logical Records. Necro aka Ron Braunstein hasn’t been one to shy away from controversial lyrical content: bondage, gore, intense violence, drug usage, and satanic beat selection. Six discs, that’s six whole albums underneath his belt, most if not all artists who are overly successful in today’s music game make one maybe three if their lucky. This guy forged something in his mind set it into motion and made it stick more than a chigger at Hog-Rock Ill. He’s done so many things to help shape the game from directing, producing records, and being a self-employed rapper (which ain’t easy only few can do) he’s about to be joining colossal forces with the Insane Clown Posse to embark on the tour that is known as The ’07 Hallowicked Tour.

His latest installment of thirst quenching violence is delivered in form of “Death Rap” not only dropping the title in his lines but dedicating an entire album to the name. It has the best of both worlds for the listener. It has the heaviest, death-metal driven chords and drums thanks bands like Shadows Fall, Twelve Tribes, Fates Warning, Mark Morton(Lamb of God), Mike Smith(suffocation), Steve DiGiorgio(formerly of Death), Scott Ian(Anthrax), and Dave Ellefson(formerly of Megadeath). Then it has that hip-hop feel of Necro that you obviously have grown to like if you have bought the album or any other of his early workings. Mr. Hyde and Ill Bill even appear on it dropping some seriously raw, like salmonella, lines.

The tone to this CD is so dark. Probably the darkest I’ve heard, you might disagree but this one was actually done well. With ideas spanning over revenge, reppin’ what you are(Suffocated by God’s Shadow), and how evil rules all this is scarier than most movies released recently to theatres. Something to definitely listen to if you’re pissed looking for something to take your stress away or pump yourself up to go fuck someone royally up. I am such a fan of the way that Necro can put his words together on beat even on tracks like SBGS.

I’ve heard mixed emotions about this yet from fans of his saying that it might not be as hard as his older shit. I disagree and say it’s just as hard and in your face, hocking a loogie, slapping your mother and calling your sister a bitch. I suggest to check this out if you find it intriguing, if it ain’t your thing whatever then dude fuck you too.
