Through all my diatribes and prostrations, I’ve tried discussing such concepts as the permanency of art, copyright and trademark laws, the Public Domain, the basic tenants of “ownership” and the nature of “fair use”, film history and preservation…

Well now… DARlin’… the only thing I DO OWN in the course of this conversation that differs from your opinions… Is an Associate of Science Degree in Film Production Technology and a Certification in Stagecraft and Theatre Production. Much like Violent J recently felt the need to point out that he does not in fact, award record contracts to bitches that suck his dick… I too, feel the need to point out that; No. I did not give thousands of dollars to an institution of learning for the sole purpose of better learning how to “cup the balls” while “sucking nostalgia’s dick” during the course of all future discussions regarding my chosen course of study.

The problem I have with your… “views”… is not that they disagree with mine, it is your attempt demand that I somehow demote myself and my thoughts; your need to minimize my experiences and compartmentalize them into a more compatible and digestible form for YOU to process… It’s “too much” for you to expand the discussion beyond “the piece of media” (as you called it) but its farther reaching implications BEYOND what you’ve had plated up in front of you; the misogyny claims, the “controversies”, the backlashes…

So while you make demands of ownership, *I choose to point out what you seem to lack: Perspective.

My degrees don’t “make me right”. What they DO do is give me a greater perspective than those without. There are PLENTY of other beings out there that could school me into a dry fuckin’ dust carried off by a fart wind… BUT YOU AIN’T IT.

If you ASKED me to admit that I am a HUGE fan of “Ghostbusters” that extends the entire three decade lifespan of the franchise, I would fess up without hesitation! If you ASKED me to get into a “fanboy” argument as to why I hate this movie, I could give you pages! From talking shit about every aspect of their uniforms, to their equipment, to the Ecto-1, to Slimer’s fuckin’ NOSE (not to mention there being a FEMALE Slimer considering the fact that the original movie explained why ghosts look the way they do thereby negating the possibility of there being two ghosts that look alike)… And not fer nuthin’, NONE of it would have anything to do with their estrogen count! Hey Potato, ya wanna know “where the ghosts came from”? Try watching the source material this POS ripped off! It’s all explained in the jail scene! “So be good for good-ness sake!… Woooah! Somebody’s comin’! Somebody’s comin’!!!”
