hi everyone :) I’m LTB’s girlfriend.. anyone know if dogs will be aloud? i’ve got two dogs who are/will be registered at emotional service animals, and I’m pretty sure they will let service animals inside…but…i don’t want to be turned away at the gate… my corgi, snickers helps me feel secure and makes going places 100% easier, as i get seriously homesick and have trouble without her.. I’m hoping my Bernese mountain dog will be make a great therapy dog for others… its worth asking :) but… if you know, or can find out, id appreciate it!
as i recall, the law here says that you are limited to one service animal at a time, when the question comes up.
this being private property, though, the law may not apply; they probably could refuse service animals, if they wanted to.
i dont know, really, may have to ask the camp manager about that, to get a straight answer.
awfully paranoid, arent you?

Camping
Once you enter Harlequin Park with your GOTJ ticket you are free to camp in any of the designated camping areas on a first come first serve bases. These locations will be clearly marked on the GOTJ map of Harlequin Park, which will be available in the GOTJ program and on this website at a later date. Keep in mind that the Gathering staff reserve the right to move any tent, vehicle or campfire to handle disputes or if they are located on a road or an unofficial camping area. There are some key rules that everyone must follow when camping:
All tents and vehicles must be 15 feet from any other tent, vehicle, or campfire in all directions.
Make sure to safely contain, maintain, and extinguish all campfires.
All vehicles at a campsite must have the appropriate vehicle pass hanging from the rearview mirror at all times.
Please be respectful of your adjacent neighbors, especially when it comes to excessive noise at night.

Also I hope the ninjas in the small cabins like spiders…We camped in some shit like that one summer and one of my boys got bit by a wolf spider, another got hit by a brown recluse…he almost lost his leg cuz he thought it was a wolf spider bite and it would go away….necrosis is no bueno though so he went to the hospital…they cut out a hunk of his leg and he will never go camping again…In short spiders love dry dark places but slightly damp places…and these are perfect spider dens..
While im on this tangent I am testing a correlation between Black Men and Brown Recluses….I personally know three Black guys that all have gotten hit by them (including the one mentioned earlier in the post) and coincidentally they are the only three people I have ever met who have ever been bit by one at all. Do Brown Recluse spiders enjoy dark meat? If you are a Black guy who wants to test this hypothesis please do not contact me…I hear the bites are excruciating…

The rule about every tent and vehicle having to be 15 feet away from every other tent or vehicle is new. It better be freaking gigantic if they expect my campsite to be large enough to have my car 15 feet from my tent, and no one else camped within 15 feet on the other side.
That means that my own personal campsite would be around 44 feet wide!? (7.5 feet buffer, plus my 8 foot wide tent, plus 15 feet between the tent and the car, plus 6 feet for the car, plus another 7.5 feet buffer) I can’t see them possibly trying to enforce that.

YO! My longtime homie just announced he got his Gathering Ticket and asked if anyone needed a ride. This means that for the first time in 6 years I may just return home. I would love to be a part of the FLH Massacre meet-up thing. I just don’t trust his vehicles so I’m holding off on a ticket for now until I inspect his truck for road trip quality.

don’t worry, that rule is not new lol. it said that in the list of rules last year. its just so they can say “we told them not to do it, so its not our problem if they don’t listen”. don’t worry
