Bill Abbott, the sheriff of Miller County where the CryBaby Campground is located, said he has heard the Juggalos “do a lot of drugs, fighting, stealing.” But he brushed off worries that the event bound for his turf, where the motorcycle club Hell’s Angels have convened twice before, might be a burden.
“If you’re looking for trouble, you’ll find trouble. We don’t want no trouble here whatsoever, and I’m sure they don’t, either,” Abbott said. “We want them to obey the laws and have a good time.”
Abbott may have some homework to do. He asked this reporter if the festival would feature Willie Nelson-style music.
“I’d like to meet the main man (organizing the festival) and talk to him,” he said.

Im under 25 so renting a car from the airport costs way too much. I might see how close amtrak is. I rather drive than take the shitty greyhound.

last year i flew and the people we contacted on here bailed on us. same thing happened with my buddies who took greyhound, so i ended up having to rent a car for about $800 including the deposit but it still was pricey.

Being under 25 really doesn’t matter much price wise. There are just some other stipulations (type of vehicle you can rent, etc..) and usually, the airport rental places are a bit more lax than a non-airport rental places. I’m 24 and have rented a car a few times. I’ve tried changing my age to 25 on the rental services website and the price didn’t really change. I usually go with Enterprise.
I’ll be 25 in time for the Gathering though. My plan is to fly from CT to Missouri and rent a big ass SUV.

i dont recommend relying on the kindness of strangers in mizzo. if youre under 25, or female, i recommend it even less. if youre female and under 25, its a genuinely bad idea.
juggalo strangers, maybe. but all in all, hitchhiking [and picking up hitchhikers] has been known to be unhealthy here.
not saying somethin will happen in every case, but spread it across fifty cases, i guarantee somethin will happen.

My son and I are going to try and make it this year. It’s in my home state and I haven’t been back home in almost 15 years. Plus it’s just a few days before our birthdays so it will be our birthday presents/party for this year.

hi everyone :) I’m LTB’s girlfriend.. anyone know if dogs will be aloud? i’ve got two dogs who are/will be registered at emotional service animals, and I’m pretty sure they will let service animals inside…but…i don’t want to be turned away at the gate… my corgi, snickers helps me feel secure and makes going places 100% easier, as i get seriously homesick and have trouble without her.. I’m hoping my Bernese mountain dog will be make a great therapy dog for others… its worth asking :) but… if you know, or can find out, id appreciate it!

I don’t see why not, it’s an outdoor event. I’m sure if there’s an ordinance about animals it would be posted somewhere on the website closer to the event, so it shouldn’t be a surprise.
