I still think Colorado would be nice. Central, lax drug laws, lots of campgrounds, and it’s not hot as fuck in the summer.
I don’t see how they can hold an ACTUAL gang get together, but people get pissed off at a music group.

i have some standby ideas.
last year there were four meet times: two at noon and two at midnight, on the first two days.
the meet location was the wrestling bleachers.
now, i havent looked all that closely at the schedule or map yet. havent bought a ticket yet, either.
but i figure as a starting point, we know theyll have a wrestling ring, even if they forget the bleachers. and if shit doesnt match up with the map, any fool can spot a wrestling ring, right?
incidentally, of those four meet times, the second midnight was the only one where people showed. i think. i missed the first noon meeting cuz i was still in line to get on the grounds.

I plan on camping at the Kayfabe site by the wrestling ring so that’s a spot that works for me. Can’t wait to meet some of yall ninjas. Someone better be down to have a beer and shoot some black tar with me… Now which one of those am I serious about…? Hmm…?

Can we pick a random time in the afternoon for the first one instead of noon, since we don’t know how long it will take to get inside? Maybe like 4pm and midnight? Then another the next day?

im all for as many meet times as possible. callin em noon and midnight was mostly a convenience, easier to remember.
for my part, i dont care if im just sitting around the wrestling ring all day, on the off chance that one of you comes along. if i miss some shit [almost any of it, really], but still get the hang with forum peeps, im happy.
that first noon meeting, as i say, i wasnt even inside yet. i think it was around six by the time i was.
if i remember correctly, frog said he tried to be there then, and the crew told him to get lost. so, maybe midnight of day one is better for the first meet time.

Yep, We didn’t make it in to our campsite till 3:00 pm. We arrived the day before at around 3:30pm and sat in the parking lot all night till they opened the gates around 10am. Took 5 hours to get inside and we were only about a 1/3 of the way back from the entrance when we parked.
@scruffy , you want to make it official? Noon and Midnight every day except the first day (only midnight on the first day).

should we go for afternoon times? the twelve and twelve thing? make up half a dozen specific meetups?
the only thing on the schedule that trumps the massacre for me is cypress hill. we could set a meetup during icps set, and ill cheerfully attend it; we could all go beat up camp thieves, or somethin.

I think I am going to shoot for the Oddities Campground. Google maps show it as the most forested area. If Jules ( @verytwiztidraven ) goes for that spot, we will turn it into the Fruitloop Forest like what was done to the Haunted Haven and Dark Forest at previous gatherings. – Glowsticks everywhere! We’ll have to see where she pitches her infamous mailbox.

I was thinkin’ Oddities if I get my car in (next to the seemingly ONLY showers) or Alakazam if I’m scrubbin’ it and have to park; N.I.A. seems a bit too close to the Interstate for my liking…
Also, if you look at the fence lines on the map, that body of water is not for our use with the exception of the fishing tournament I’m sure.
If you compare the actual maps of the area (I recommend Bing maps over Google as they have brighter shots at a different angle that allows you to see more), the GotJ map seems to have penciled in a bit more woods than in reality. Unless trees shot up and started growing since the satellite images were taken…

I’m shooting for kayfabe, but oddities would work to. In the same general area. I was gonna do gutter rats, but that would leave like a 7hr commute everyday to the main stage…
