Couldn’t agree more. And for people thinking Esham cannot mix….That’s not true at all lol. He knows his way around the boards/Pro Tools. I know his recent music sounds like shit, trust me I know. The most recent Natas album sounded like SHIT! And I’d even like to get an explanation on that, but the dude is sick on making beats. I wonder if he mixed the old albums like Closed Casket? Id have to look in the booklet…

I pointed out when Fuqerrbdy came out that It sounded professional, and the distortion was intentional. Like, knowing my way around the studio I recognize the difference between shitty mixing and mastering and intentional distortion. He even confirmed the intentional distortion in an interview saying that he wanted it to bring back the feeling of the original Natas albums. Though, Venis Fly Trap was just shitty mixing and mastering.
Also, Esham caused ICP to become a horrorcore act. That is a huge change, much bigger than a slight influence. And he even arguably influenced the clown look too. So we can’t demean Esham’s influence to a slight influence. He arguably made their career. I wouldn’t say he did, but it is arguable that they wouldn’t have a career with out him. We can’t pretend like ICP’s huge career defining change had any other influence other than Esham. I think the most they owe him is the proper recognition, which they do give him. You also have to realize that Esham influenced Twiztid to do horrorcore. Esham influenced ABK to rap. Esham influenced Eminem to take a horrorcore approach. Esham influenced D-12. Esham infleunced King Gordy. Esham influenced Kid Rock. Esham even influenced Danny Brown. So he’s much more than just a local act, and his legacy isn’t owed to ICP as much as ICP’s would be to him. Of course I realize ICP made ICP, Esham didn’t project ideas into their heads or write their lyrics or design their albums, but he did push them into changing their whole image and sound which is much bigger than people are giving him credit for.
Also, I think C.O.C. is their smartest album. At the end of 2PAB when Kendrick interviews 2Pac, 2Pac says something about the poor coming up and eating the rich. That’s exactly what C.O.C. was conceptually. It’s not an album I listen to a lot, but I do think it deserves a lot more recognition by the world in general for the things they are saying on that album. A lot of it politically parallels how a lot of people feel these days. The political and social commentary of that album is what I wished they would have continued through out their career.

We will just have to agree to disagree. I don’t think they or anyone else has to give him props for shit. They may or may not have made it or changed to horrorcore without him, but we can never say for sure would have happened if he hadn’t been around. Butterfly effect and shit.
Shit we could keep goin back with it as far as influences. Who influenced esham? Who influenced that person? If it wasn’t for us bringing slaves over esham wouldn’t be here, so really ICP owes their career to old white racist bastards. No ICP built ICP. Nobody gets credit for their success but them, in my eyes .

You really can’t be if you want any mainstream attention. Although the only song I ever heard on the radio around here by them was Homies.
@krunkazphuk I would argue the Juggalo subculture is why. Some Juggalos tend to be…well assholes (I am referring to the wannabe gangster ones) and they tend to give the rest of us a bad rap.

So all you did was voice your opinion about someones hoarding habits and you got bruised and cuffed? Bruises from the cuffs? By the way this proves my profiling theory thank you. Only thing it disproves is that you would mouth off to a former cop. If you mouthed off to the officer that showed up it was a bad choice.
So which is it? Were you profiled or did you mouth off to a cop? You were very vague.
After 5 years in juvenile I would never even get an attitude with an officer. It is just not a good idea. I won’t lie I am absolutely terrified of police and I can handle my own but no matter how “tough” you think you are you aren’t bullet proof.
For future reference I live in Buttfuck TX….well kinda. Only 300 people and 40 minutes to the closest grocery store and work.
(I will admit maybe my view is different as I have kids and acting out on my emotions doesn’t help my family. So MAYBE I am wrong by not arguing with every cop that gives me shit, but that is a personal choice I make to protect my future)
EDIT: Trying to give you the benefit of the doubt here simply because from my experience people that had a terrible experience with cops like what you had kinda steer away from being so verbal about their opinion of authorities. Of course I didn’t write the book on the subject but I do council abuse victims some of which are victims of such mishandling of authority. Also if you ever have a situation like that again I know great lawyers that handle cases like this pro-bono.

No offense. Cops were called because of my words to an ex-cop animal hoarder. Free speech, motherfucker. I was grabbed & cuffed when I walked up to a giant farm boy cop and said ‘Hi.’ For fucking real. Another up side, I live in a lovely hood now.
