Fuck, I have a lot of thoughts on the interview. For those that care, here ya go:
- It's heavily edited. Seems like it's edited to leave out a lot of long pauses and tangents, which makes sense.
- Her constant fidgeting and whatnot made me real uncomfortable. I've known a LOT of people like that that are like that for a lot of reasons. Hopefully that doin coke thing hasn't continued to turn her nose into hamburger and she's just uncomfortable on camera. I'm leaning towards the latter but the former can't be ignored judging by her own words.
- Not everyone that has issue with her are "haters", Scottie. You implied that was the case. That bothered me a lot. Saying she hasn't earned her spot isn't necessarily a "hater" thing to say. Arguing the validity of that statement is fine but dismissing people that say it as "haters" is shitty.
- When this chick whose label covered her in makeup with her hair teased like she was in a fuckin White Snake video said she was happy to find people that didn't care if she was wearing makeup, I had a nice little chuckle. It's not hate on her (maybe Scottie would disagree?) or anything, I mean, I get what she's sayin, I just found it chortle worthy.
- If all of your life you've had people saying negative things about you, maybe, juuuuuuust maybe it's not really them that's the problem, ya know?
- Her response to people not being able to relate to her was great. Damn. Well said.
- Her response to the wet t shirt thing was also great. The level of hypocrisy that some people have shown about her being a "slut" is pretty damned gross and it's awesome that she's holding her ground on that one.
- So...is her music for Juggalettes or all of us? She kind of said both things. It's either exclusive or inclusive. Make up your mind.
- Who the fuck is telling suicidal Juggalos that they aren't Juggalos? I've heard some shitty things said by Juggalos to other Juggalos but never heard anyone say that if you're suicidal you're not a Juggalo. Maybe I heard her wrong? I went back and re-listened and it it sure as shit sounds like that's what she's sayin.
- Don't tell me how to "Juggalo". It's not okay when J tries it and it's definitely not okay when the fuckin new kid says it. Fuck you. That charm doesn't mean you get to tell me what to do, asshole.
^compressed for everyone's sake. ^
Summary is I still don't like her music, I still see zero potential there but I could be wrong, she made some really solid statements and mentioned a couple things that changed my mind about certain parts of her shtick, the people bitching about the editing were kind of right but are reading way too deep into it, her music is for both, only Juggalettes AND all of us, somehow, I hope that the person behind the Blahzay Roze character is okay, it came off like Scottie thinks criticism of her equates to hate, and she seems to think she can tell Juggalos how to be Juggalos--which is, eh, I'll go with "cute".

Alright, I'm back from Detroit and just barely able to keep my eyes open here at work. I'm going to try to address everything that was spoken about:
- I didn't edit it. I had 5 pages worth of questions and went through every one of them. We spoke for well over an hour.
- Though much was cut out, I don't feel like it took much away from the interview. I haven't gone through my questions again since receiving the final cut, but will do so soon to see if there was anything that was left out that I feel should have been left in.
- There were THREE cameras, hence the cuts. Again, this was edited for time as they were hoping to keep it between 15 and 20 minutes. Nobody is trying to hide anything. There were quite a few things that were reiterated when she replied to me and keeping those all in would have been redundant.
- There were no cue cards, scripts, teleprompters involved. Some of you guys are just fucking ridiculous. Speaking to Becky off camera was the same. She doesn't make a lot of eye contact. Can you imagine having that much social anxiety and then all of a sudden being thrust into the spotlight and scrutinized by much of the audience, and even some close to the label (Sugar Slam)? I consider myself a pretty together person and I know that I would find that pretty difficult to handle.
- @celle2057 if you don't think she has a gang of "haters", for lack of a better word, then I am not sure what you are looking at. It's mostly social media though. If you thought that I was implying that if you didn't like her that you were a hater, that wasn't my intention. I said myself that I found her music uncomfortable. I listened to her 20 minute EP probably 10 times on the plane trip to Detroit just to get prepared and the visuals never got easier to digest.
- YES, I did get to listen to a few cuts from Shaggy's FTFOMF. HOOOOOOLY SHIT that dude is on fire! I didn't get track names but this is highly anticipated for me!
- This past weekend. MNE invited me and the Dallas crew to the studio to listen to some of their new stuff too. If you think Twiztid's album is going to be all rock, it's most definitely not. But that's for another thread.
Again, if i missed replying to anyone's comments, it wasn't intentional. Tag me and call me out if there's something I didn't cover and I'll be glad to address it. Much love!

i have nothing against the young lady, she came across intelligent and thoughtful in the interview, she is pretty well spoken, and i can understand why she didnt make much eye contact, some people are just like that. I feel like alot of the hate on her has very little to do with her music, and alot to do with her being a female in a very male oriented sub culture. I listened to the EP and didnt hate it at all, didnt fall in love, but i will listen to more and give her a fair shot

This bitch got a deal cause she banged Violent J.
They should have signed Whitney Peyton instead-she's fresh (even though she prolly wouldn't let Joe stab her neden).
Juggalos don't have to sheep out when J tries to push shitty artists on us, thank fuck.

I have seen a grip of people online saying she isn't a Juggalo because she talks about self harm and suicide. A shit ton.
People who don't like her music aren't haters but people obsessed with trying to tear her down are. People who make facebook pages to spread hate and doubt are nothing but haters.

You say it isn't because she is a woman and your next words are "this bitch".
She didn't get a deal because she fucked j. She got a deal and they dated. Its cool if you don't feel her vibe but you need to stop obsessing over the fact that she had a relationship with j.

Something else that people need to realize, if something fishy was going on, and info was cut out, stuff was edited out ect. Scottie wouldn't tell us about it, he is VERY loyal to both psy and Joe Bruce. Meaning if J told him to cover something up or edit something out, he would do it absolutely no questions asked. He would never in a million years say something that would make psy look bad (whether it was the truth or not). So people need to stop hounding him with questions.

Right...like the times we ask Twiztid about their relationship with Psychopathic on camera. Like the time we interviewed ABK about why he left Psychopathic Records. Like the time we interviewed Lavel after he left and wasn't too kind with his wording. Did Psychopathic request that I conduct the interview with her? Absolutely. They felt like she needed to talk about herself and her personal experiences rather than having someone else do it for her (ex: The Weekly Freekly). I conducted the interview to the best of my ability, and Ryan Archibald tightened it up to make sure people didn't scoff at the idea of investing so much time into watching it. Let me reiterate...I did not edit the video. Repeat: I DID NOT EDIT THE VIDEO. I went there, conducted the interview, and all of the footage was left there. It was heavily edited...how else are you supposed to put together footage from 3 different angles?
I knew this would be heavily scrutinized no matter how honest we both were. Either way though, this is the truth from her perspective, and you can take that however you'd like.

I remember one of these retards claimed that the site is slipping and falling under because they didn't cover the new ABK tracks and the DJ Clay Hands of Odd EP. Well I know for a fact they not only reported the ABK songs but they also made each of them a song of the week. And when I went to look up Hands of Odd the first thing I could find about it was a link to a page on this site reporting the tour exclusive EP. Point being, mother fuckers are just going to wine and it's ridiculous that all of this started over the fact these people are jealous that Blahzay got to fuck J and they didn't.

She absolutely does have people that hate her for the sake of hating her. There was like a ten minute window between her being at the Gathering and people hating her with a passion. I'm just sayin it came off to me like you were sayin that all criticism of her was hate, which you're sayin wasn't your intention so it's all good.

That's fucking gross and I had no idea that was a thing. I tend to stay clear of anything around her name on social media so it makes sense that I wouldn't have seen any of it.
People who don't like her music aren't haters but people obsessed with trying to tear her down are. People who make facebook pages to spread hate and doubt are nothing but haters.
Agreed, for the most part. I think the harder Psychopathic pushes her, the harder Juggalos are gonna push back because that's what they do with every new artist until they love them or they disappear. But yeah, she definitely has haters. See my response to Scottie.
She isn't telling you how to be a Juggalo. She is saying what she thinks a Juggalo is and what she values in our community.
She might be new to the label but she isn't new to being a Juggalo.
Idk about that, man. Most of her answers near the end are all the preachy "Juggalos need to do this" shit. She isn't saying "I like it when Juggalos do a thing", she's sayin "Juggalos need to do a thing", there's a difference. I assume your last sentence was regarding "new kid"? I was referring to the label only. Never really cared about how long someone has been down. Which, I forgot to mention in my first thingy, her answer to that one was fucking great too. Even if she was new to being a Juggalo, it doesn't matter to me.

I don't particularly like Blahzay's style from what I have heard so far. I did buy her EP to show support out of love and respect more then actually liking the music. However I have decided to not openly trash her for her style.....so she has a style I am not attracted to, how does that harm me in any way? I can just simply not listen to her.
I would also like to note that just because someone has a style I am not a huge fan of doesn't mean they are not good people. Personally I don't really like The R.O.C's style and stuff he puts out but the dude is cool as fuck as a person. Sometimes I find myself supporting people without even liking their music simply because I like their personality or how kind they have been to me when I had an opportunity to meet them.
Maybe that makes me a softy or a fanboy or whatever but that's just how it is for me.
