True, true.

That came out as a bit of a double negative but I was meaning it in more of a devil’s advocate way and not an expression of “what it’ll take” for me personally.

In correction, it’s on Blahzay to make me like her (as you say) and for the second part; “For J’s sake, I hope Blahzay’s “new thing” WILL be gangbusters”. This is his little project he brought into being. He’s the one (and YW) that did the work. He is the motivating force in this and like I’ve previously said, the work he and Young Wicked put into the EP is the only positive takeaway from it. “Everything that has nothing to do with her voice…” was quite good. And that’s where the duality of my opinion lies. She needs to seriously pull her shit together if she’s gonna ferry on but WE ALL KNOW that that will be predicated upon by the amount of work her producers both get out of her and put into her (in the studio not on the flyers, KWIS?).

And yes, the usual recidivist pleasantries still apply: I don’t have to like it. I’m just saying that “for their sake” I (ostensibly, “WE”) better or it could be a really big bruise on a lot of people’s faces from the suckerpunch that is, Blahzay Roze.

[EDIT]

I went on a whole DJ thing but deleted it. But in a nutshell, if I couldn’t do my job to the best of my ability or the expectations of others, I don’t get booked again. But whatever…

Okay, I got ya now. Thanks for clearing it up. The collective “we” can be a tricky shedevil.

It seems like the real measure for Psychopathic is staying power. Or more specifically, does this artist’s album sell consistently? Personally, I can’t see any redeeming qualities in her but I couldn’t with Hoodoo either til I heard The Asylum. They tend to let artists do their own thing on album number two so I kind of agree with you on the “gangbusters” thing now that I know what you mean. This next one will probably be more her vision and less J’s vision for her.

It’s a valid point for most other record labels but Psychopathic (from what I’ve gathered) doesn’t really work like that. They operate more like a family business. Give this person a try and if it doesn’t work out, figure out why and try it again.

Well, I’m not a nutritionist, but a good guess would be to take as much as you can fill in both holes.

Razakel was fucking SickTanicK through out most of her career. SickTanicK owns the label she’s on. So you could argue that Razakel didn’t earn her spot either. I wouldn’t, because she has earned it, but still.

Blahzay was offered it and not seeking it according to the only information provided that isn’t purely speculation. She isn’t even with J anymore. Not only does she agree that it’s not really fair though, but she also feels that she hasn’t earned her spot and with her next release it’s her job to earn that spot. Either way, she got lucky, she got this opportunity and would  be an idiot not to take it. To be this upset over her having something this awesome to happen to her because you feel she hasn’t put in enough work to earn it is just flat out being a hater. You are hating somebody for having something cool happen to them. You’re being Ferris Beuller’s sister who was always hating on Ferris for getting away with everything because ‘it wasn’t fair’ but she learned her lesson and stopped focusing and hating on Ferris and started thinkin ‘well good for him’ which lead to her being much happier and much less of a miserable cunt.

And the fucked up thing is, Blahzay isn’t nearly as bad as people make her out to be. You hear ABK? Dude could hardly rap worth a shit. He just sounds good, sometimes, over dope beats. I’m damn sure Blahzay could out rap ABK. I’m sure Desiigner could out rap ABK to be honest. ABK is not good at putting words that rhyme together. Like, how does ABK still deserve a career when he puts together shitty and lazy hooks? He has a great live show, so what? Can’t say he’s been putting in work. 6 years and still no album. Plus, those lyrics don’t have any work put into them. He’s the only artist from Psy that hasn’t grown or progressed in the last decade because he doesn’t work for it. All in all though, I don’t want him gone or hate him that much. It’s cool, let him have a career. I hope he makes that music money until he’s dead even though he sucks so bad at rapping. ABK is an American hero.

you’re saying that he hasn’t progressed in the last decade, you’re absolutely right. I still enjoy him, and his aforementioned live show. But I agree that he just seems to be comfortable coasting through life’s ups and downs. Maybe that’s not wrong, I dunno.

Second paragraph is spot on. I thought the production on broken  was spot on.. her song writing was eh.. white lines was an extremely dark horrorcore track that  I believe lands a spot on darkest psy songs. I said I wasnt gonna make a decision till I saw her live and it was very impressive.. granted its her first tour.. my first thought was she could benefit fromy a band.

M

As for the abk paragraph I actually believe he’s one of the best technical Juggalo rappers. he’s delivery and rhymes remind me of dope ass 90s hip hop. He says psy hasn’t released shapeshifter… psy says he never turned it in. but when I talked to him in 2014 he said he had the album  done and was waiting on Psy. think there’s an interview. if not I’ve seen almost everyone else thats asked him say the same thing.. he released the prelude and it was pretty dope. the shapeshifter track expecially.

I disagree, I think Twiztid are the most technical juggalo rappers right now. (because I don’t count Tech N9ne) followed by ICP when they want to be. Followed by Blaze, followed by AMB, followed by Boondox/DJ Clay/Blahzay/Big Hoodoo, followed by ABK, followed by Jumpsteady. Granted, I liked Hatchet Warrior and Dirty History. I remember the prelude blowing my low expectations out of the water, but I honestly haven’t heard it since it first came out so it mustn’t be that good.

This may be

but I listened to the SKR mixtape and SickTanicK killed that shit. Like, I was just saying how bad of a rapper he could be with Demonic Swagger a few weeks ago. But he really did show some improvement on this mixtape. One of the songs was like a less lyrical Joe Budden song (not shitty lyrically, just that Budden is a spitter) if Joe Budden was a huge fan of Black Metal.

if you take the word technical to mean possessed of technique…  then madrox is miles ahead of everyone else on that list.  making twiztid a no-brainer.

if you mean some kinda psuedo-scientific breakdown of what constitutes dopeness…  shrug.  whattya got.

jumpsteadys style is so technically advanced, that only those few super-professors of hip-hop can actually perceive and appreciate it.

It’s all good opinions are opinions.

I’d say madrox is probably better than abk. I just always thought abk’s lyrical content was way tight and closer to your old school gangsta rap lyrically than anything else.

J in his riddlebox or Shang ri LA prime would probably take the cake.

The amb guys are awesome.

As far as twiztid goes I think they’re both worn  out with touring and the twiztid thing right now. theyve toured constantly since starting mne and in my opinion they don’t seem to be enjoying it.. the Darkness was all over the place. Madrox should do his rock project he’s always wanted to do, and monoxide should do a Hip hop collabos  album or something.

Um.. boondox was dope when he was on dope..

Hoodoo has a dope street style.

Blaze idk how to judge him because he doesn’t write his shit.. like all his album except casket factory tho.. Jamie put too much rock into it for me. Blaze is a gangsta that’s what wanna hear

performance was pretty much spot on, too.  [as has been pointed out by others already, no yodeling…!]

I use technical as in the ability to create more complex rhyme schemes. Less technical would be “My name is Scruffy and I’m really Fluffy and I don’t mean fat I mean like a cat” More technical would be “Don’t fuck with Scruff cus when enoughs enough he guts the punks that are stuffed with fluff” Doesn’t really make you dope and it’s only an aspect of what makes a good lyricist.

in that case, id say that monoxide, j, hoodoo, and blaze could all potentially equal jamie.

apparently in blazes case, that would be jamie vs himself…  but i dont buy into that unless the guy credits it himself.  [which blaze has done, to be sure…  just dont remember him sayin, ‘i never wrote my own shit’]

Gnaw. I like the words, sentences and opinions I actually used to express my actual  thoughts better.

Soooo, like, yer saying I’m jealous of Blahzay for getting to fuck Violent J? Cuz that’s the only “opportunity” she took up before something else was handed to her as a result. The only shit I got to talk about on this girl is her as Blahzay Roze and what we have been told about her as of The Gathering. I don’t go digging into her personal bullshit beyond what any other person may have learned from what was written down and presented to us. I’m not phishing through any websites or trying to dig up her old videos. My opinion of her and “her” “music” is based on what’s been presented to me, not what I went and “found out” about her. So reel that crap in.

But good to see you’re cutting down on the ‘Member berries before you busted out with a Ferris Bueller reference that applies to nothing in this conversation. And btw… you have a very warped perception of how that movie wrapped up. There was no “lesson” learned by anyone in that movie other than Cameron and there are many movie nerds that have pointed out over the years that the whole movie really is CAMERON’S Day Off, but whatever. Jeannie wasn’t at odds with her brother just because ‘it wasn’t fair’, she spent her whole life doing and getting things the “right way”; Ferris hacks into the school computer and changes his attendance and grades. ie HE LIES, CHEATS, USES AND HUSTLES PEOPLE IN ORDER TO GET WHAT HE WANTS AND THROUGH LIFE. Jeannie didn’t “learn her lesson”, she got hit on by (and makes out with) a drug dealer sitting in a police station. There was no “good for him” moment either. If you recall she was TOTALLY intent to beat Ferris home with her mother screaming at her in the car the whole way but I guess you must consider the smirk on her face just before she finally opened the door for him as “pathos”. She let Ferris stand there for a while getting skewered by Rooney before she was able to enjoy her own triumph of fucking him over for having gotten her dragged to the police. After the story ends, that moment probably translated to an extortion or blackmail at some point in the future the next time Ferris pissed her off.

But nice trywink

PPS it ain’t too becoming to project onto other people when they’ve pretty much spelled out how they are feeling about a subject in their own words. “Getting upset”? Who’s upset (except for maybe Miklo, derp)? Choose your own nouns and adjectives to describe your own emotional states. I can think for myself, thank you.

i liked the ferris bueller reference.

not that it meant much of anything, but he applied it well enough.

and i feel that the movie is, in fact ‘ferris bueller forces cameron fry to have a day off’.

… which, in the case of this fucked-up spun-around metaphor, seems like it would put j in the ferris bueller slot, with blahzay being cameron.

so, i guess after she pretends to be suicidal to force a point, she will decide not to be so uptight in the future.  and confront her father for once.  happy ending.

does that work…?

I feel like Twiztid are the only ones, as far as that scene is concerned, that are actually fucking with technical shit. Didn’t mono say a few years ago that they just learned how to write songs? I take that to mean that they just learned how to rap technical.

J’s got some moments (Juggalo Island is nothing but multi’s. That song isn’t particularly good but if we’re talking technical it gets ignored too much) but I think that’s more to do with how sporadic and random his style is than him actively trying to write like that. Meaning eventually he has to write some technical stuff because he writes in so many ways.

Her whole goal through the movie was to get Ferris busted by the parents so they can see how manipulative he can be. At the end of the movie she drops it and lets him get away with it all because focusing on how unfair things are was making her a miserable cunt. The type of miserable cunt that would rant for 20 pages on why an artist on the internet doesn’t deserve to be an artist. And if you feel that I’m calling you that miserable cunt then it’s because you know the shoe fits. Plus, I know that wasn’t really the message of the movie if there even is one, if it was it was poorly done because Ferris wasn’t meant to come off as the sociopath that he is.

But nice trywink

Nice try at desperately trying to negate the point.

Half the internet is accusing Scottie D of being a shill for Psy over this so a lot of people are. Hell, writing you’re own essay to rationalize why you dislike Blahzay over a statement that wasn’t about you shows you are upset and probably means the shoe fits.
