Just ran through Garcia Brothers and it was kinda of, as I expected, just a meh record. A semi solid release, but not God’s Hands by any means. Some tracks that stood out to me were: MOE, Smoke Kush (which I currently am), Might Go Mad (ICP stole it), and Roaches.

A couple things:

I do like AMB and think they’re great on PSY, but they seem like they try to change their direction (or is J changing their direction?) too much. Tracks they we releasing from like 07-09 were fire (GH & DJ Clay 1&3 come to mind). Now, like when they first hit PSY, their stuff is forgettable in my opinion. Oh well.

My absolute favorite part of the Album is the ICP verse on Might Go Mad. Holy shit they need bars like that on these new Joker’s cards! Their flow there took me back to The Wraith days.

Not at all, that was basically what I was going to say but didnt feel the need to. It’s like i’ve been down a little under 2 years and have 20+ years of back catalogue plus current releases that are ( dopely enough) picking up the fucking pace finally so of course it’s gonna be all I listen to. I’ve got sooo much to play into oblivion that i feel i’ll be thoroughly engrossed for a long ass time.

I picked up the hatchet when I was 12 and consistely bumped only psy for 3 or 4 years now I’m a little younger than you and listen to a plethora of shit. I bump oldies with my dad cause they got a lot good production in old r&B. I mostly listen to lyrical hip hop though. This month is the most I listened to ICP all year due to me using behind the paint for my commode chronicles and like chronologically bumpning the clowns when I read it. Hell if I know though. I just read 12 pages to type this and feel so unfufilled.

It might also be related to the fact that Eminem has been several times put in the spotlight for slander towards his mother and his wife.  And that he publicly apologized to both of them, and even wrote a song apologizing to his mother.   

 

You mean the slander case that the judge dismissed? Which could have been his mom trying to get money off her son? Which would go onto Eminem’s side? You’re just hating. It is what it is. Searching for reasons to hate him. Of course there are two sides to every story, but I don’t think he actually flat out lied about anything other than on songs like ‘Brain Damage’ where he claims she knocked his brain out of his head which he did knowing that common sense would kick in to tell people that it’s not true.

Listen to that song too. I mean really listen to it.

The intro wasn’t the best. But from song one I’m massively feeling this. It’s better than the cut and stiched album. It’s like twiztid and we all like them, but different which makes no sense. When twizted joined psy no one liked them this is the same. Sat here with my head phones and cider a perfect evening. I can hear the two voices. I can understand each word. My only complaint is that they are trying to hard to name check them selves …
