And here we are today

Not trying to be a hater, but seriously being a "scrubby dumb fat kid" Isnt cool, and when your an Adult it just comes off sad.  Juggalos need to clean house, or just start improving on our public image. I know there are plenty of intelligent, responsible juggalos out there but arn't showing face or speaking their mind, they need to be.

oh yeah.  they busted into 2nd hand smoke and some outta control kid punched me dead in the nose.  i actually stood there stunned for a second, then realized i was standing still in the middle of a mosh pit.  i did find the ninja and slugged him back, very hard, but he was in his own world, probably didnt even notice.  [if youre out there, sorry bout that, but you punched me in the fuckin nose]

first blaze show, first rydas...  all that good shit.

its amazing how different the gathering is now, but thats to be expected.

  awfully paranoid, arent you?

Hmmm...I understand your point but it IS- as always with juggalos- an exaggerated one. I too remember the days when it was just fans rather than fam; I'm not going to pretend I'm one of these 'day one' type fans, I've been down in a very off-on way since Milenko and remember when ICP first started putting on Gotj out in Toledo.

This video that you have used as a point of comparison was designed precisely to portray juggalos as illiterate, foul-mouthed scrubs. You know, as I do, as anyone that has ever been to the Gathering or taken part in a forum like this does, that this stereotype is not as universal as the mainstream media would have you believe.

We now live in an age of internet led cynicism where mockery is alarmingly commonplace, insecure and anonymous 'bloggers' sit in their rooms and demonize others whilst hipster sites such as Sputnik need a constant villain in order to validate their own 'coolness'.

The truth is that any large movement of people will likely contain individuals prone to violence or ignorance and these are the examples that are used by detractors to create a- usually negative- stereotype.

I feel as secure and proud of being both an ICP fan and a juggalo as I ever have because I am just the same person that I always was.

Awesome post, completely agree. The mainstream stereotype is really what hurts the fanbase. But like you said, any large movement there are bound to be some fuck-heads. Metalheads, Punks, rappers, all have an intellegent fanbase as well as an idiotic dirty ones.  What I hope doesnt happen would be Hipsters adopting ICP because its "ironic." I feel that may already be happening.I also feel  juggalos have been in the mainstream media alot more latley, and mostly in a negative light to make fun. I assume its a "flavor-of-the-month" type thing going on with making fun of the "dumb" juggalos.

holy crap you think hipsters "may already" be patronizing icp/juggalos in a ironic fashion. are you serious? uh if theres any doubt in your mind allow me to confirm that yes, they do that already. they have been doing that since miracles in a major way. point is, fuck what a hipster does or thinks. they have issues brah

I wish Psychopathic and Esham could resolve their differences and lend a hand to Esham to help him get his music game back up, revive Reel Life(maybe PSY could do a distribution deal with RLP, help Esham get his catalog back in print, and make 'em some money), and hook up some tours of his own, and opening for folks....unless Violent J is STILL jealous of Esham. idk

biggest downfall = screwing up ESHAM, and letting a dope group like THE DAYTON FAMILY fly away.

...and since some of the MOTOWN RAGE band members are from my home stretch of Ypsi- SCREW PSY FOR THAT!! WHAT!!!

Bang Pow Boom was the downfall of ICP. Then they signed big hutch which and let him perform remakes of classic twiztid songs at the damn gathering. He's lucky he made it outta that one. But everybody else on psy is still killin' it. Gang Rags sucked kuz j and MEC fucked it up. Check out Blaze Gang Rags: Extended cuts to hear what his next album was supposed to sound like. I'm  a newer age of juggalo i guess but know a thing or two about good music. BPB and MDP had a few good songs but are no where near a jokers card. ICP just needs to give up and let Twiztid be the Dons. That's how i feel sorry n shit

i wouldn't by any means call it a "downfall" but i've posted in a previous thread how wack i think vip packages are. i understand the situation, they are a business. my personal opinion as someone who has camped overnight for many, many shows, is that vip packages are a huge kick to the balls. i used to never/very rarely miss a show/event, now im not so rabid about it. alas i am in the minority here because i guarantee more people buy vip than have camped out. such is life oh well

I totally agree,  I wish it was like it was back in the day where it wasnt just a bunch of white trash people and about the " family" and about the music.
