On Nu Metal...
Some bullet points...
♤ Korn is a fantastic band. Their live show is one of the cleanest I've ever witnessed. Album-quality sound and passion. They feed off of the crowd, which is a mutual energy thing. I love it. . . However, as every band, they have made some tracks that I dont like and I generally dont listen to anything past their third major album. But there are some gems. . . I hesitate to even call them Nu Metal because Jonathan Davis doesnt rap much. This example with Tre from The Pharcyde is where the genres can mesh well, despite whaat you may feel about the vulgar content of Davis' chorus.
Their album "Untouchables" was one of the most expensive metal albums ever made. I like that one as well. Jonathan Davis is a highly unique singer who can convey a ton of emotion. Whiny or not.
♤ Anyone like Candiria? They used to be the most complex metal group out there, with insane switch ups and guitar anomalies.
Then there was a terrible accident and all the members almost died. They then switched to melodic music, something like newer Soulfly or something.
Check them out. They are insanely good. Both their indescribable urban fusion and their post-wreck melody metal are awesome.

♧ As for Limp Bizkit. I'll just put it like this: their first album or two had genuinely good music. Fred Durst's ego and all the pushing and confusion from his media groomers is what turned the group into a joke. No one can deny that they tore up Woodstock 99. I guess because a lot of the attendees were, as Tom Morello put it, "a bunch of baboons". Gwen Stefani even was noting how it seemed like a bunch of frat boys. For that corner in time, regardless, they destroyed that gargantuan audience (as did ICP and many others... I used to have all three days VHS off of pay per view.)
Say what you will about Durst and his shitty voice, the dumb lyrics, the simple music (Wes claimed they made it simple for fans to learn quickly and play themselves)... but that crowd went insane. Like someone threw some raw meat into the baboon cage.
I know there are much bigger mosh pits and "walls of death" from various festivals that are more "extreme", but it was a cool spectacle at the time for this particular event.
But, in general,,,,,,...,,,, yes, Durst turned it all silly after that.
♧ Rage Against the Machine aka The Best Band in the Fuckin' Universe is not Nu Metal. Never was. They are their own thing.
♧ I cant really listen to all of that other Nu Metal. Spineshank, Papa Roach, Dope, Static X, Disturbed.... I kind of hate most of it. I've even seen Static X and Dope live but I just cant see the substance. But they were there in an era that cant be defined, just like 80s hair metal, 90s swing music, boy bands, mumble rap, etc. Life is fuxking odd.

How many times do you have to listen to the album until you realize that you're trying to force yourself to like something you don't and that your taste is born more out of the novelty of brand loyalty rather than music enjoyment? Not saying that an album always hits on the first listen, or even on the next five, just that it seems you're trying too hard to enjoy something more than you do.
My opinion, if I were 15 I would have loved this album. Best album I've heard from them since Tempest, and I loved Tempest when I was 15.
Does 17 work? Also, I'm sure somebody somewhere fits the description of forcing themselves to listen to it, but that's (probably) the exception not the rule, personally FFF is almost all I'm listening to rn (in terms of rap anyways) I just keep wanting to come back to it, and I think it'll have staying power for icp.
In terms of what you said about not being brand loyal, I mean, nobody here listens to any lost and found to my knowledge, except for falling apart, that song is great. We heard it because of brand loyalty, but what we keep listening to is just what we like. For me, seeing as fff is the only thing to come out besides solo albums since I got here, I listened to inter city stuff out of brand loyalty, but I pretty rarely return to it, not that it's bad, I'm just not crazy about it, that's the extent of my brand loyalty, I'll try it no matter what it is if it's icp, but I'll keep coming back if it's good, and west verner, red rum, game over, triplex, wtf, fury, that's some good shit, I return to it, because I love it.

@iris..... You take history lessons from the one hit wonder papa Roach... You totally lost all credibility.
Whether you think they're good or not is irrelevant, also the point stands whether I use what they said as an example or not, it's pretty obvious, but anyways, saying Papa Roach doesn't know the nu-metal scene is fucking stupid, just because they're a one hit wonder doesn't mean they don't know what's fucking happening within the "scene". I'm sure a fuck ton of fans knew VERY well what was happening. You're basically saying you have to make good music or you're magically blind to what's happening in your industry. When you work in an industry, you learn about it, no matter how shitty you are at your job. I can assure you Chad Kroeger knows what's happening in the rock and metal industries, or, if he doesn't, one of the people he works with, a label, a manager etc. Does know. You literally said "you forgot kid rock" implying that you are in on what happened in that industry, so, lemme get this straight, you know more about nu-metal than A FUCKING NU-METAL MUSICIAN!
Being "in the scene" also has its limitations...for instance, they may have a good grasp "on the scene" but they fail to understand how the rest of the world(majority) view them or "the scene". Papa Roach fail to understand that there is nothing metal about them and can't comprehend why "the majority" viewed that band as emo bullshit, like staind, puddle of mud, fall out boy etc.
Sorry to ruffle your feathers and insult your god, all I was stating is that I'm no longer taking anything you "know as a fact" as a possibility due to your unwillingness to peer into the box from the outside after you know every crevice of the box from the inside gnome sayin
Edit:
You also stated that no one here likes tmml found, untrue. I've stated multiple times that found is my shit, you just can't see what your not looking for. And OMD digs found too
Speaking of founds sappy songs and FFF sappy songs, founds are extremely superior and powerful than red freds.
I feel that FFF is a dumbed down version of found and that's why more juggalos dig freds "motivational" songs

Im not sure who you think my god is, because my god is Gary Holt, if you meant Roach I think they're mediocre, I mentioned that everyone wanted to be Korn, but few could pull it off. And no, I didn't actually think that nobody liked lost and found, but 90% of what I heard has been hate, especially when I did that Favorite song from each album thing. And papa roach is metal (they're not great or that heavy but they are metal)

You know what, it just occurred to me. YOU AGREED WITH ME. You agreed with lucem, and even added kid rock. My main point was that Bizkit scared people off of rapping, which you agreed with. Why bother attacking Roach when it's irrelevant?

Finally you cracked an "i" open.
I attacked your godly superior P. Roach cuz I "found" your talk of "new metal" irrelevant...and you were talking with blinders on, just tryin to help you become more open to "things" you think you 100 percent "know", gnome sayin

I feel like I was supposed to learn something from this but I didn't.
Also yet again my only god is Gary Holt. Papa Roach is just okay, I have a bit of a soft spot for em because I listened to them when I was suuuuper young, along with the guitar hero 3 soundtrack, a shit ton of pop punk, and Linkin Park, and whatever random metal songs YouTube recommended, good times.

Probably, yeah, I think I was still heavy into ICP when I was 17. It's a personal thing, not a maturity thing. I was huge into the stuff when I was 15 before I found other music that I felt did what I got from ICP but better.
In terms of what you said about not being brand loyal, I mean, nobody here listens to any lost and found to my knowledge, except for falling apart, that song is great. We heard it because of brand loyalty, but what we keep listening to is just what we like. I heard it out of some kind of brand loyalty I have left, to be fair. It's like a show you loved at first then the later seasons got boring but you still check it out because you want to see it through. Except it's the whole series and sometimes I'm in the mood to enjoy the show. I didn't hate it, so I guess it's earned.
When I speak on brand loyalty I'm talking about people who will buy or support things they don't actually like out of loyalty to the culture or juggalos or what ever. Like Smack when Twiztid left he admit that he only supported Twiztid for being on Psy but now that they left he's glad because he thought they were emo trash or sumn. Or it even means refusing to accept or try anything outside of the predetermined bubble you've given yourself for trying to fit a label. ICP and Twiztid were really good at telling juggalos that everything else is trash then juggalos started emulating what they'd say. Like fuck the mainstream keep it underground. That's retarded especially since juggalos are fairly mainstream now. Their music has always leaned far more towards the mainstream than the underground. They've had radio play, Tech N9ne too. They used to play Jelly Sickle all the time on my radio station. Same with I'm A Playa, actually. Of course it's not everybody that's a juggalo that does it, I don't run with blanket statements unless I'm trolling.

Buddy, You shut your whore mouth and never speak I'll of the X that is Static ever again.
Never reallly was a Korn fan, some good songs, but I just don't get the appeal.
People can rewrite history all they want, late 90's-00's LB was popping doing interviews from the Play Boy Mansion and beefing with Eminem and shit.
Some people in certain circles have even suggested ICP jacked night of the chainsaw from LB's "Break Stuff".
That ICP set at Woodstock 99' was fucking horrible because of the Audio Delay. Monumental! But, just unlistenable. Who ever paid the DJ to sabotage them got their money's worth.

Yeah I have the VHS somehwere. The sound looping was insanely confusing. I love the show though. Lots of my homies were in the crowd. Plus ICP throwing those balls that had money taped to them was genius. They won a lot of fans that day.
All I remember from Static X playing live was that the now-deceased lead singer kept yelling "who wants some more shots?!?!" And "let's do some more shots!!.!..!" After every song.

Why ninjas up in this piece argue so much?
And how is this KKK guy still here? He just went from mad hating on their style all the way around, claimed to know more about the release than everyone, ended up being way off, then saying he likes their style, and wish they had more poppy music, where first he said they needed way more wicked shit. WTF?
I appreciate the art and the music, I am fortunate to have the ability to see feel and hear it, shit's dope!
Insane Clown Posse flip my wig back with Flip The Rat!
Fearless Fred Fury had a loud pronounced message that I'm glad I heard in my time of need, TMML also helped me, but then I fucked myself off and wasted too much time. Hopefully it sticks better this time.

Because mother fuckers are insecure little bitches who can't handle someone not agreeing with them without threatening to bash their skulls in. Probably because their dicks are small so they gotta compensate.

Hey so, does anyone know who specifically this line from seriously hilarious is referring to?
These bitch ass artists out here
Ride the Juggalo escalator all damn day
Think they the greatest on the way up, then they walk away
Knowing the rest all hate us, they watch what they say
Could of repped but downplayed us, fucking lost their way
Don't get me wrong, this sounds familiar as fuck, and I'm sure it's happened multiple times. But is there anyone specifically that comes to mind?
I really hope he don mean tech and Hopsin. It seems unlikely seeing as they attend the gatherings (I think) but coming up among juggalos and then dissasociating sounds kinda like them. (I remember in interview hop said we were his original fans, but besides that he never mentions us at all.)
