With all the positive reviews outweighing the negative. I’m stoked to go ahead and purchase this here boondoxcoatdirty album. No sarcasm I did the same for AMBs CD it was dope like a majority were saying…wish I would’ve applied this logic b4 I copped some other releases.

Even though I don’t particularly like AMB (i don’t hate them like most say, i just don’t enjoy their sound), I will say Garcia Bros. is much better than any of their older stuff

*UPDATE* like the rapping some of the hooks are too country but I usually adjust eventually. Kinda like some of those Lil Wyte Jelly Roll tracks got the country hooks. Speaking of Jelly Roll I appreciated the subject matter they both touched on Abaddon

BUT….being down for the fam like I am, I will let Boondox make his next video in my attic if he wants. He can use the basement, but he just did the basement video. It’s ultimately up to him, but I say film it in the attic. Just push my stuff to the side like you did to your boy’s in the last video. Just give me a couple days notice so I can hide all the pills in my house. And while you’re filming I’ll hack into your twitter account and say all types of bad shit about the people who sign your paychecks. Then you’ll be like “Somebody hacked my twitter account!!!”, but nobody will believe you. Because, you know, the whole boy who cried wolf thing.

I’ve been listening to it on repeat for about a week now, and the more I listen, the more I like it. I’m a little more fond of Kikdoe now, but I still hate the transition from Monster to My Night. Just doesn’t work. But everything else is great.

for me The Harvest will always be his best work IMO…been listening to it a lot lately actually and its just such a fun record…production, sound effects, background vocals, and of course Boondox and the features…Krimson Creek was great and had some really great songs but I didn’t feel like it flowed as an album as well…Punkinhead was good and the latest 2 albums he put out (Abaddon and South of Hell before that) are good but also kind of hit and miss with me…some definite keepers on Abaddon though for sure really enjoy the joint with Hoodooo, Kikdoe, My Night, Monster, Movin On, Psychopathic Symphony…some of the others are starting to grow on me as well

I’m finding myself more drawn to it than the last few albums I’ve purchased. The title track is addictingly ominous, like an Opaque Brotherhood track or something…

VeryTwiztidRaven said the transition from Monster to My Night.

It’s like they knew I’d want to add Monster to playlists without My Night.  It’s like they freakin’ knew.

I use Audacity to fix stuff like that. Like I’ll take a snip off the end of the previous song (with the little girl saying there’s a monster) and put it onto the beginning of Monster, then take the stupid screaming at the end and put it at the beginning of My Night. It’s simple to do, and keeps me from getting so annoyed when I listen while shuffling. Makes me feel like a producer and shit.

I’m just up to “monster” and I’m utterly disappointed so far. It feels like I’m listening to a polished up mainstream top 40 cd and all the tracks are on the radio. That’s all I can say. I actually like the “monster” flow and beat etc. but damn the chorus.. It’s embarrassing to bump this shit at a red light.

Hope It grows on me.

Edit: Oh.. It gets worse.

in no way, shape, or form does it sound like a “polished up mainstream top 40 cd” and even if it did…the fact that you automatically assume that’s a bad thing just proves how small minded you are when it comes to all forms of music and choose to be stuck in a box…as if Boondox is the first underground rapper to have female singers on his stuff lol I’m sorry man but that was a terrible comment…sounds like the rest of his stuff

agreed about the country thing…The Harvest is my favorite album of his mainly because it has such a country feel to mostly all the songs…the others did too as well as thing album but yeah I do like when he does that…him and J should do a country rapper side project although a lot of juggalos would probably shit on it haha…imagine them singing country tunes while rapping as well n shit though

“all forms of music” lol, wake up to yourself. Why would a person open his mind to a sound they don’t like and aren’t interested in? So they could conjure up “legit” comments to argue with on an online forum? Whatever floats your boat, mate. This album ain’t floating mine. If that gives you some butthurt, that’s your burden. I’ll stick to my original statement, it never really got better on the second or third rotations. Still sounds polished and radio friendly. Still has whacky back up vocals on the chorus’. Still embarrassing.

I like when their artists switch it up and try different stuff..anyone else is welcome to their opinion but I welcome Boondox doing tracks like Monster, Sober Truth, etc…also a polished album isn’t a bad thing just means they actually care about how their music SOUNDS…ICP’s newest albums sound very polished but it’s not a bad thing lol
