The only songs I dont like are the ones with ICP featured on them. Just like the AMB album.  the song with Violent J and the one with both clowns you can tell they are force feeding him the southern/redneck gimmick and the other songs it seems he expresses himself how he wants boondox.. let boondox do what he wants and stop forcing a gimmick on him

abaddon is dope as shit.  have always thought boondox was more talented than most PSY artists, but here hes really showing it up. when the dust clears this will be a huge and well deserved win for boondox

I don’t know why.. but I just listened to the entire album and I didn’t like it whatsoever.

somehow it still just sounds like  some hillbilly guy trying to rap… I thought it would be good.

That’s all Boondox really is. Never liked the Gimmick.  I would like to hear an up-to-date Turn Coat Dirty album though. from the couple songs I heard from Underground Advengers, he sounded decent, but not too fond of that group either.

I'll fuck you till you love me, Faggot!

I’m incredibly pleased with this album. Krimson Creek was my favorite Psy album of 2008, and I was kinda let down by South Of Hell. It had some great tracks, but I think it was MEC’s production that kinda lost it for me. Not sure if I like this album more than KC, but it’s up there at least. Boondox knew he had to step his game up after SoH.

My copy arrived today, I’m on my second listen right now. I don’t know how anyone could claim this is the “scariest album released on psychopathic,” or whatever. That don’t make it a bad album just not as dark and wicked as I was hoping for, though it has its moments I guess. The new Abaddon is much better than the original dubstep version, I especially liked the hook, it probably doesn’t get darker than this song either. Bloody regrets was a standout, Hoodoo fucking killed his verse, the best work I’ve heard of his. Kikdoe feels way out of place, but I still like it (even if it seems to condone domestic violence). Prophet is dope, one of my favorites for sure. The album version of Monster, like Abaddon, is an improvement over the original. I always liked the black eyed children urban legend so it was cool to see Boondox put it into rhyme.

My Night was kind of a disappointing use of an ICP feature. Not a fan of Movin’ On either. That’s about the extent of my complaints.

The album art’s cool, too.

I don’t see how, there’s only a couple of truly sinister tracks on that cd. I never got why people hold Krimson Creek in such high regard.

I do agree that the ICP tracks were the only one that went Hillbilly, so it could be them trying to make him stick to gimmick.  But I liked the songs anyway.  But they were the comic relief, I suppose, on an otherwise pretty deep record.

I like the ICP features, I guess. They’re still growing on me. Might Go Mad probably gave me unrealistically high expectations for all ICP guest spots.

After a few listens I’m glad I bought the album. I like Dox and don’t mind throwing a little cash his way if it helps ensure I’ll get to hear more of his shit in the future.

Shaggy’s verse on My Night is god-tier.

Everyone’s verses were good, I feel like the up-beat vibe of the song derails the song progression, that’s my main problem. Though I got to agree that Shaggy really shines.

The title track, Prophet and Black Eyed Kids are more ominous than anything on Krimison Creek. That’s not saying a lot, though.

Music has to rely heavily on the production to feel legitimately unsettling, ’cause we all know the voice we’re hearing is just an average joe in an empty room with a microphone. The beats is where the magic is.

Solid album though, on a scale from one to ten, I’d say this is 9.5.

Unless you’re being sarcastic you’ve lost a lot of credibility with me ninja. The album is a turd!

For future reference, please don’t use my opinion to dictate your own.  Give me zero credibility, listen to it, decide for yourself if you like it.

Boondox has never really made a ‘scary’ album, or a better way to put it, a purely wicked horror album.

BTW I’d put the ‘scariness’ of both Krimson Kreek and Abaddon on the same level.

Though Abaddon wasn’t exactly scary or wicked or very horrorcore, it had a very dark and haunting feel to it. Sort of like they trapped a ghost inside of the beats. It sounded almost like a break up album. Or more so about him battling depression or something. So the dark and haunting sound completely matches the subject matter. I just think that it was dope.

And yes, the two ICP features sound completely out of place on that album. It’s almost as if you are watching some ghost story or something on TV and then it goes to break and a silly commercial comes on.

“Is you’re girl friend a ho? Does she lock you out the front doe? With Boondox’s brand new patented booty bashin’ door crashin’ body slammin’ shell toe boots all of your problems will become a flash in the past!”

It’s not a bad cd. I just said it wasn’t as scary as they made it seemed.

And I wouldn’t wanna compare it to Garcia bros. Because that’s a rap duo. I mean I guess you can compare them if you wanted
