I won't let a grown man's business change my perception. Of course others will. Take J's one side with out hearing out the other. Then again those people already had their minds made up before. Either way both sides seem shadier to me. I think Twiztid definitely seeming shadier with out their side of the story. But we can all at least agree that Otis is a peace of shit and killed Dark Lotus. Even J said it. I mean, I'll still listen to him, but yeah. Keep him away from your daughter.

I can't really vote them as PHAT or WACK right now. If we're talking strictly about music and nothing else, I have a ton of respect for Twiztid and their talents. They have evolved and grown a lot and have amassed a pretty dope catalog of music throughout the years. I'm very much looking forward to their new album.
As far as the "behind the scenes" stuff goes, even before I watched the Faygoluvers interview, I think it's 100% pure bullshit that they declined to go to the Juggalo March. I can't really conceive of any respectful reason as to how they could possibly turn that down. Even if they absolutely hated ICP at this point for whatever reason, there's no justification for declining. While Twiztid are talented guys and maybe would have established a career somehow without ICP in an alternate universe, the reality of the situation is that ICP gave them a career and busted their asses to get them over with the Juggalos, and overall showed them how to run a business. To this day, I'd estimate that Juggalos make up 97% of their fan-base. To me, it seems like it should be a common courtesy for them to show up and march. Not just show up and perform and bounce, but actually march and be involved. They're going to have to come up with some completely unexpected shit for me to change my opinion on this. They gave no reason for declining other than they "stand as a family" or whatever with MNE. All of MNE owes their livelihood to the Juggalos, so you guys should "stand as a family" with the Juggalos.

They said they don't do political things in an interview and I guess on Twitter Mono said that if they at all thought the march would benefit juggalos they'd do it.

And that's a horse shit thing to say. Even if they believed the march wouldn't benefit Juggalos, where's the respect? Where's the pride? Or how about just flat out doing the right thing? Maybe this analogy is a little dramatic, but hear me out. If I had an uncle or something in the hospital and was dying and I had to travel to see him and say my goodbyes, I probably wouldn't want to actually do it. But is it the right thing to do and would my uncle appreciate it? Yes. So, I would do it.

Has anyone assessed the possible outcomes of this march? The idea comes from a good place but its dumb as shit. Does anyone actually believe peoples perceptions of us are gonna change? Publications have been writing positive articles about us for years. Not a damn changed.
Whats gonna happen is we are gonna get some good press, possibly, and on the other hand a bunch of mother fuckers are gonna be carrying around nitrous tanks and popping molly acting like dummies getting arrested. Actually sit and think about this shit for a while.

I think the separation is for the best. I also think there's a lot we don't know about or, possibly, wouldn't understand. I appreciate the hell out of that interview (thanks @scottied !) and would love it if Twiztid did something similar. Not holding my breath though, airing out their business like that just doesn't seem like their style ... maybe one of the reasons they didn't like being on Psychopathic.
Don't know if it'll ever be released but I did an interview with Big Vin when Twiztid came through LA back in October. It was for a documentary meant to show juggalos in a positive light by having one-on-one conversations about what the music and family meant to that person, the positive effects its had on their life, and anything else that made us look like harmless, personable, hard working folks. Great intentions all around.
I love the music and have had great moments meeting J, Shaggy, Monoxide and Madrox (ok except maybe that time J was a fucking space cadet at the Milenko show in Columbus ... might've been the pills, possibly going through the divorce at that point. poor dude). I cannot get behind the " ___ doesn't support/love us! They're only in it for the money!" shit that's being accused. So until I have a shit experience with Twiztid/MNE, I'll continue to be supportive. Same with ICP/Psy.
And it wouldn't be right if I didn't mention all the incredible people I've met that I now call friends because of our collective love of the music; some in person and some through this forum. So for that, I'll always have a soft spot for both of 'em.
TL;DR:

I really do think it'll make some people stop and think about us for a little bit longer than what they usually do. Nothing earth shattering but it's something. We can front like we don't give a shit what "they" think but personally, I think it'd be okay to not be a lazy punchline every time this thing I care about comes up around people. If you get thru some of the bullshit "my local mall kicked me out" stories there's some legit cases of Juggalos getting royally fucked. If hangin out with Juggalos in D.C. has the chance to maybe do something about that, why not?
Regarding Twizzler:
Never been a big fan, they have maybe two solid albums if that and since Abominationz I've been sayin that they're tired of Juggalos and are going to start distancing themselves. That's still my opinion. All that's changed is that more people are starting to recognize it now. It really has to suck for ya'll. That might sound snarky but I really mean it. Sorry n shit, man. Hopefully you can separate the people from the music and keep bumpin em. If personal lives are gonna start comin into play we need to talk about J bein that annoying mother fucker that's cool for five minutes and a potential murder victim by the sixth. Everybody knows somebody like that and J is that dude with thousands of people feedin his ego.

I would vote if the question were phrased differently.
What am I thinking about them NOW?
What do I think about their role in this mess NOW?
All that shit is much different than the OP vote.
Abstaining.
