the protests were bout a 500$ raise in student registration fee's to me I could care less considering even with the 500$ raise its still cheaper to get an high quality education here in Quebec than anywhere else in north america but it was promised many many years ago that if your born in Quebec that you get a free education in Quebec so people got pissed and started protesting it lasted months but it worked and there was zero violence.
about six years ago some spanish 18 year old kid was playing dice with his brother and some police woman shot him to death he was unarmed and people got pissed and there was still a non violent protest and it eventualy got the police woman fired.
but if we win in hockey we riot and break everything we can.
I never understood riots for winning a sports game. That happens everywhere and I don't get it.

He didn't refuse to play; that insinuates that he didn't go onstage at all. They played a few songs and he didn't continue because the sound system was shit.

This. I am sure the curiosity, excitement, and love the people at NASA had for the moon, Space in general, and their paychecks was a huge contributing factor.
Just did a tiny bit of research, apparently they thought about doing huge irrigation projects for the third world too, but the space dick measuring contest was the final decision.
