This news headline just came across my desk a few minutes ago. It seems 31 year old Timothy Dudley was arrested for attempted murder on Fremont St. in Las Vegas.

Now according to the article, Dudley was homeless, and was on the street asking for spare change. One group of people he had asked made a comment about his “Juggalo shirt” and Dudley attacked. He admitted that he pulled a 3-inch blade, however he claimed that the blood on the knife was his own. The victim, 19 year old Zachary Battista, was rushed to a nearby medical center where he was reported in critical condition. Dudley, who kept hitting his head on objects during arrest, had to be restrained. He is also being charged with trying to bite an officer.

So he we have a little more info for you.. According to the victim’s brother, there was another man, Michael Kelly, with Timothy Dudley when they approached asking for change. The group asked the men to leave them alone, and one of them became irate and started screaming. One of the member’s of Battista’s group then proceeded to call Dudley a “jugga-ho” because of his ICP shirt. Then one of them pushed Dudley, who then pulled his knife. Battista attempted to step between the men who were fighting and was stabbed in the chest. When Security Guards showed up Dudley ran, but not far before he was caught.

Battista is now reported to be in stable condition. Here’s a little statement from the victim’s brother describing his situation:

“[Battista’s] heart stopped twice and he needed about 15 pints of blood…stabilized as of Monday but was still in critical condition. He had brain function and doctors removed breathing tubes…”
