A Juggalo named Nate Payne hit me up about a non-profit that he started in hopes of helping those struggling with mental health. He started it after losing his best friend to suicide. I know that a lot of us can relate, either struggling with mental health ourselves or being close to friends and/or family that do.
He has setup the “Keep Going” Biek Ride for Mental Health which will start on September 7th in Spirit Lake, Iowa. It’s a 200 mile ride that ANYONE can join!
There’s some news coverage of the ride last year that you can see here:
Nate wants more Juggalos involved, so check the flyer for the official ride info and mark your calendars:
As you can see, a handful of sponsors have already joined the cause! Mindless Labs offers a free mental health app and has provided merch to hand out for the ride. NAMI is a mental health organization that will provide more resources. Night Cat donated some tents to use for those joining in on the ride!
You can follow the Keep Going Facebook to keep up-to-date on all the latest happenings with this event!
Something else super dope that he’s doing is adding a ribbon of a name of someone who is struggling with or lost their battle with mental health:
If you’d like to add some ribbons to the collection for a loved one, or just have some general questions, hit the email addy [email protected]!
Finally, if you or someone you know is struggling with mental health, you can ALWAYS dial 988 from anywhere for help.
