Our long-time homie SkitzoMichigan has started up an elective course for 7th and 8th graders in Kalamazoo, Michigan called “The Exploration of Self & Hip-Hop”.

When asked what the purpose of the course is, SkitzoMichigan (real name: Trevon Hobson) had this to say:

“This class is meant to help the kids find their voice; face their fears and overcome them,” said Hobson, a music studio and computer applications teacher. “That’s what hip-hop has done for me.”

Hobson says that this course is helping kids come out of their shells and hopes to expand to even more classes next year.  This is a truly inspiring article and I gotta give props to Skitzo for building this from the ground up!
