I was just wondering, this is gonna be my first gathering me and my one friend have been wanted to do it since we have been in 8th grade and Im about to be 18 on the 28th so we got our tickets
Im really really really excited love the lineup, love psychopathic, and love the wrestlers!
I just had a few questions and wanted to see if someone could answer them for me and i know this is the best place to ask!

I dont have a car pass, is there still gonna be somewhere i can park or do i need one of those too?
How is the police presence down there? I know there is none at the gathering (thank god)
Do vendors sell things not psychopathic related? I was hoping to get a KMK shirt
What food would you suggest bringing?
How much money is good to bring? Im gonna bring a good amount just wondering
Is there really stuff going on at all times :D
Anything you would tell a new juggalo thats going for the first time?

I cant tell you guys how much i love going to ICP events, everyone is so nice and it really does feel like a big party with family and thats why im looking so forward to the gathering!
Thanks in advance!
*Sorry if im coming off as a newbie ha been down for about 5 years, not much i know ha

Alright, if you don't have the car pass, I'm pretty sure there is a place to park at and shit, but its a fucking hike to get wherever (from what I heard). The police situation, you just gotta be careful entering/leaving the area. Their chilling in corners of the road just waiting. So keep your cool and you're straight. Yeah, some people sell some shit, I didn't see any KMK merch though. Saw Potluck and V-Ice and PJB selling shit. Food wise, bring munchies, burgers, hot dogs, whatever you can grab at Wal-Mart. Plenty of water though! And money to spend at the Gathering, eh, I've always went there broke and came home broke, so I guess 300 or more and you're good. Ice is expensive, they have food and merch there too. Yes there is always something going on everywhere at the Gathering. You probably won't be able to sleep the whole time you're there, its a party.

I was there last year caught up in some shit, just hide your shit well and your fine. Yeah theres a drug bridge but usually that shit sucks. You can find whatever you want. I've seen some dank buds there though thats for sure.

You are way ahead of a lot of people because you are planning ahead! So congrats already. Some of this I feel I am an expert on and some not so much so I'’ll just cover what (I like to think!) I really know about.

Yes there is free parking, just not in the camping area.

Food: Bring TONS of water. If you think you'’re bringing too much you'’re probably right on. For 4 people, we bring two 24 cases and we refill them a couple dozen times. Plus we also bring  juice and some gatorade and faygo too. Of course we give some away and blah blah blah but hopefully that gives you an idea of how much water you’ll need. Of course you can buy water, but there goes your merch money when you could have gotten a ton more for less at sam’s club, costco, walmart, whatever. And don’'t just drink gatorade, your body needs real water too!

Bring food that will give you energy!! Do not just bring 45 things of poptarts and doritos, or think you can eat cheesesteak every day. You will feel like shit. This is what a lot of younger people do because their mom makes them eat real meals and they just want to eat burger king and candy :P You will have very little sleep, a lot of physical activity, and be in the sun a lot. Sorry to sound like a health nut or like Mom, but you will feel like shit if you don’t get some nutrients in your body to fight all that.

Some good stuff to bring foodwise:

granola bars with almonds & shit, beef jerky & cheese packs – you feel like you ate a meal instead of a bunch of snacks. I DO NOT advise trying to bring any other meat. It’s a huge hassle and expense to keep it cold constantly and if you don’t you’re gonna get sick. I also heard they are not allowing fires this year, not sure if that’'s true, but if it is, burger & hot dog people will be fucked, muffins, lunchables are good if you can keep them somewhat cool, but they don’t need constant ice like most meat, pb & jelly – warning: keep bread in your tent or other sealable container at all times, a friend tried to live on those alone, they didn’t close up their shit and it rained and their bread was ruined :(, mixed nuts – not the kind in your sack of course, the kind that was originally in a shell, crackers – salty or graham, string cheese, capri sun or other boxed juice – juicy juice is best because its real 100% juice that doesn’t have to be refrigerated, real fruit or fruit cups – one year I even sold a bunch to of pineapple fruit cups to a dude who needed pineapple juice!, cereal – sometimes vendors sell milk, so you can be like yeahhh.. fuckin cereal! If not, just eat it as is. You can eat/drink it out of a big plastic up so you don’t need a bowl or any of that fancy shit, baby carrots or green pepper strips – if you will eat them, those are just the vegetables I like & will eat, green pepper is good with beef jerky, but I’d say eat that the first or 2nd day

I bring junk too, poptarts, cookies, chips, etc but these are the good things and you should bring some of it.

All that about food said, you're still gonna be sick as fuck after, its called gathering plague, just how it is. But this is to make you feel as healthy and energized as possible while you’re there, which is all that matters anyways right? Other food tips: If you leave a pack of cookies (sealed) out it the sun they become even more delicious! Yum! Smores with made with oreos instead of graham crackers are soo good! I discovered it like 2 years ago. But I suspect it was a fat kid secret long before that.

Drug bridge people are not nice and most of them aren'’t even juggalos, be careful.

Almost everyone who is playing at the gathering will have merch there. If they are a majorish act they definitely will, most small acts do too.

Yes there is stuff going on all the time after like noon, you may not think the stuff going on is that great, but then that’'s a perfect time to just walk around and take pics and meet people.

Biggest piece of advice I can give you is to be positive and don’t let other people’s (or your own) negativity get you down or let a bad incident get you down. Move on and enjoy, notice, and appreciate all the greatness around you.

You’ll have a great time. mcl

100% true. I just think bringing your own is more convenient. And I feel a little weird going up to the baller sites and being like “hi everyone sitting around staring at me while I use the spicket that's like IN your campsite..” and I will NEVER refill it in the bathroom with a fucking used tampon staring at me the on the floor under the sink. embarassed

maybe I just think things are staring at me more than they really are? :D haha idk

Anything you would tell a new juggalo thats going for the first time?

aside from preceding good advice:

make sure you have some way to secure your shit.  your car if nothin else.  there will definitely be a few, maybe many, theiving bastards who wont hesitate to scoop up your property like its cool.

matter of fact, i would recommend not taking anything that youd be bothered by if it turned up missing or destroyed.  except shit you really need, i.d. and whatnot.  which you should guard zealously.

  awfully paranoid, arent you?

they did advertise hogdaddy’s hellfire this year on the infomercial. but basically my rule of them as far as things to bring is bring everything. i practically bring everything in the house, just because i know what it feels like to be missing that ONE essential item during the trip that you could’ve just grabbed and threw in your bag in 2 seconds. bathroom shit, first aid, dry/frozen foods, MULTIPLE pairs of footwear (definitely essential), zip-loc bags or some type of waterproof casing to put your stuff inside in your pocket to prevent shit getting wet from random showers of liquid. if you have color or regular contacts bring a couple extra screw-on lid cases to have one in your pocket at all times with rub solution in it in case a lens folds in your eye or gets dirty from the filthy place.

just every little thing you can think of. if you overlook something small it can turn into a bigger issue while you’re there. and what you forgot might not be for sale. so just rack your brain and if you have the storage room then bring everything

Oh yeah totally forgot, your shoes will be totally destroyed. Bring a pair you don't care if you have to throw away after. I've been to 8 gatherings and have only NOT thrown away the shoes after, once. So your law mowing shoes, some pair you get at the Goodwill store and can stand being seen in, or your brother who isn't down's shoes are all good options :D

also, great post, Darkcarnioreo :)
