And don’t those hills look SOOOO deceptively sleight? Looking at the picture I’m thinking to myself, “Hmm, those don’t look like they should’a been so bad”… but they ain’t!

I don’t want to have to wait till after the gates are open and im stuck looking for a spot to camp. I already have my key areas i wanna try and claim and I guarantee they will be gone by 10 am

Yeah, getting a ticket before the Gathering is starting to look like a giant question mark for me so I would love it if someone has an answer to this.

Unless they decide to open early for some reason, gates are at NOON… only Big Ballas are let in at 6p the night BEFORE and there’s still debate as to whether or not they will be allowed back up into the parking lot.

Also Ballas are only allowed *5* other people in their lots and ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SET UP ELSEWHERE….

We’ll see how that works.

I thought the gates opened at 7am. Maybe thats just the box office. I hope the box office opens before they open the gates. I ordered too late for them to deliver so I gotta get em at will call. I wanna have my wristband on as soon as they open the gates.

Man, fuck those hills lol. Made me realize how out of shape I am. Still prefer Legend Valley over Cave-In-Rock though.

Last year you could indeed purchase tickets/car passes the night before gates open (night of the parking lot party).

I went to the Gathering site again too and even though I can’t find anything specifically saying “Gates are at” they do repeat 7am over and over…

I could’a sworn I remember seeing something about noon last year. I’ve seen a bunch of videos of people up around 6am talking about getting in and/or bitching about opening up early but I just figured that was people either being over prepared or antsy.

Well that certainly changes a few of my strategies regarding sleep and getting my spot again.

They opened gates around 6:00-6:15AM last year. It was a giant clusterfuck (as per usual). I wound up getting to my campsite around 9:00-9:15AM. The line is an absolute bitch for those who are unfamiliar.

I would never bank on set times for anything at GOTJ though. They can say the gates are at 7:00AM, but I’d prepare for 1-2hrs earlier or 1-2hrs later (if not more). This venue does seem like they have their shit together more so than Hogrock, but that’s probably due to the fact that festivals are their thing. 

I’m planning on getting my ticket when I get there but if someone has an extra then I will definitely buy it off them but I probably won’t make it to the grounds until like 9am on Wednesday so if anyone has a ticket to sell still at that time hit me up

Someone just told me that last year they were passing out wristbands/amulets for awhile the day before, but I thought that they just started passing them out at like 6am day of.  Does anyone know if they were passing them out the day before (last year)? If they did/might this year than that would change my schedule so just wondering…  

I got mine the day before.

Damn, I’m going to have to get there earlier this year…getting them in the morning was a cluster-fuck
