My response in the comments to the one where the paper was proud to get us removed
I just want to say thank you, for costing me almost 500$ that I have worked hard to save all year long to go to this event. I had my plane tickets booked and ready to go, but because you are scared of things you dont understand, now I have a plane ticket to a place I wouldnt want to go to even if you paid me to.
you have no problem with a violent biker gang showing up for their festival, but you wont let some kids in painted faces show up because you fear the unknown.
I bet your parents are real proud of you, stealing money from from a hard working kid because of your illogical fears
Its moderated so I doubt they will post it but still

this bullshit makes me fuckin sick.
‘criminal proceedings’? somebody wanna explain to me how this matter was governed by criminal law, and not civil law?
is it a criminal violation to not have a permit for a cancelled event that was going to take place five months from now?
i hope they do try to prosecute, any shavetail lawyer with two weeks of experience should be able to handle that case. hell, i could handle it.
awfully paranoid, arent you?

Man, fuck Missouri. Just look at all the issues we would have had if they’d kept it there. If they’re gonna be like this about it, I don’t want to give them my money anyway. Like, I’m not even butthurt about all the bad stuff they’re saying because that just proves that we shouldn’t have been there in the first place.

I am an optimist. I am pretty sure it’s going to happen. From what Jumpsteady wrote, It sounds like they have some leads…
Hatchet Herald – February 14th, 2014
… Our network of Juggalo fam across the country has been sending in dozens of emails with new possible Gathering locations including a few huge Juggalo owned properties. We are diligently at work utilizing all our skills and experience to figure out what is the best option and to quickly lock in the new Gathering location. There will be a Gathering this year without question. This may take a few weeks to get everything in order but our motivation level has not faltered.
My personal opinion is that they will go with one other those huge Juggalo owned properties.

I would tend to agree With Psyral but part of me thinks Wonka has a valid point. Surrounding communities to any chosen property just have to follow the Missouri guidelines to running Juggalos out on a rail. I truly hope this is not the case.

while this is true, i dont get the impression that losing ‘harlequin’ was as much a matter of law, as it was leverage. pressure. influence. et cetera.

Well, I figured the politician threatening to press charges helped figure into that. You are probably right, though.
On that same note though, not all states are as conservative as Missouri. So I am sure there wouldn’t be so negative of a reaction in states like Colorado, California, or anywhere in the Northeast. That would suck though, because that would make it even farther than it was before to me lol. I would be stoked if they did it in Colorado. You know the State would be thralled to have that many people to promote their legal, taxed, marijuana. Fuck, the Stonerlos would be contributing mainly to the Colorado education system. So the Gathering would be helping kids learn! lol

There are evangelicals and militant idiots all across the country. Anyone else remember the Michigan Militia going off about us in 2005. The only difference between now and then is a fuck ton of bad publicity last year with people dying and overdosing…Psychopathic not paying their bills, oh yea and the FBI classifying us as a gang…Legal challenge or not thats going to stick on us like glue for a grip.
I do not want the gathering canceled by any means, and if anyone can do it i believe in Jumpsteady’s ninja skills…this whole thing was his idea in the first place. I just think its going to be a struggle no matter where they put it…
