I don’t mean to start shit @scruffy but aren’t you the dude who regularly comes on here to profess his hatred for cops, how cops are his enemy because he is a criminal, and that you have no sympathy for cops that get murdered?
Is that the type of behavior that you say juggalos should cut back on, are you part of the problem?
Or are you saying that you are just smart enough not to profess your hatred for cops in public?
It’s a good question and a good point and you know it.

not ‘regularly’. a few times, sure.
youve kinda slanted it to the more extreme interpretation, but its close enough to reality to be fair.
first, i feel i should point out: none of those three things are behaviors. they are notions. opinions, really, in the main.
‘criminal’ is not part of my identity; what makes me a criminal [to police], is that i have broken the law before. perhaps you have never broken any laws, good for you. perhaps you have, in which case, you are in the same boat as me, as far as the majority of police are concerned. the good ship ss lawbreaker.
they, institutionally, view me, by default, as an enemy. i cant just ignore that, and expect to keep out of trouble.
love em or hate em, cops have power, and that has to be acknowledged.
to paraphrase: most people respect the badge. i dont, certainly not automatically, but most people do.
everybody respects the gun.
and in addition, i respect the fact that police can fuck up your day, to say nothing of your future… so i make it a point to give them as little to work with as possible.
now then.
juggalos should cut back on any behavior that fucks things up for the whole. this is the kind of easy logic that comes naturally to most people, and somehow escapes half the gathering attendees. well, not half, call it a fifth.
yes, i am part of the problem. you thought, perhaps, i was gonna be like, ‘fuck that, im one of the good juggalos!’?
im a minusculely small part of the problem. i believe i do more good than harm for the juggalo world, especially compared to the truly problematic. but that doesnt mean i am infallibly perfect. nor did i ever even imply anything like that. [nor did you imply that i did, lucem, i know]
take all the whining and bitching ive done since the gotj got canc– moved. very bad form, by my own standards.
but i feel like raging, and the only justified target is us, ourselves [you may have noted, i never said ‘you juggalos’, i said ‘we, us’]. i suppose im mostly done with it now, but i may have a little left to throw out there. cuz it fuckin sucks.
venting about how fucked up we are [and tell me we arent], however, is not gonna contribute significantly to our bad name.
neither is me smiling to myself when bad things happen to police. that shit is between me, and a god who never seems to call on me.
this is old news, but do remember… dont use scruffy as a role model. listen to what he says, then make up your own mind.
or dont listen, its not like i matter that much.
awfully paranoid, arent you?

I feel like the world pretty much views cops on an “us vs. them” level. I doubt that has very much to do with scruffy being a juggalo as much as it does just being scruffy. Aside from dislike of cops and use of drugs, I fail to see any way at all someone could call scruffy part of the problem. XxXaT LeEst he duzNt taWk leiK dizZ WoOp WOOP!!!1!Xxx Or go out committing robberies, assaults, murders, and supermarket shootings whilst wearing hatchet gear and throwing around wicked clowns hand signs. Or get up on the message boards of the communities of the place kind enough to host the gathering and talk of pillaging and raping the locals. Didnt we do that with hogrock too? I think one of the locals they interviewed on A Family Underground said something about that. Guess these guys got more pissed. I agree most of us are pretty fucking stupid, but a harmless stupid. And that’s why I’m upset about this. Outside of to ourselves, few of us are threats to anyone. Unless you count being noisy and littering as a danger to others. More annoying really. I def think the local busy bodies over reacted and were unjustified with getting the good people of the lake of the ozarks park to exit their contract. It’s bullying. However, scruffy has a strong point.

As Reported in the: Hatchet Herald
This Journal was supposed to be focused on all the flavor of this year’s Gathering of the Juggalos but unfortunately that is not to be at this time. Believe me when I say that I highly doubt anyone is more upset at what took place in Kaiser, Missouri than me. We at Psychopathic had been hard at work for months on this year’s Gathering of the Juggalos as we signed contracts, planned events, called contractors, drafted maps and built a new Gathering website. It was a great time for everyone up here because karma was very high and I believe I can speak for everyone when I say we all believed in what we were doing and loved the idea of going to a new location.
The campground where the Gathering was to take place this year was a centrally located area nestled deep in the Missouri woods and adjacent to the Ozark River. It was a perfect spot to bring the new Gathering to life. The river was controlled by a dam so that at night when the river stopped flowing it would almost immediately disappear so you could walk across the riverbed comprised of smooth stones to get to a huge 16 -acre Juggalo Island! There was even going to be a stage in the middle of a cornfield and civilization (including hotels) only a few miles away. There was no doubt in my mind that the vibe was going to be totally different this year and therefore new and exciting. It was a perfect spot to set the stage for a truly epic time of flavor.
I myself had been talking daily with the owners of the campground that we dubbed Harlequin Park and they were very receptive to having the Gathering on their grounds. I didn’t hold anything back and they understood the pros and cons to having the event on their property. But they were really open minded and they even host a big biker rally at the campground every year. They also understood that Juggalos love to have a good time but that we are cool ass ninjas who work, sleep and eat like anyone else, even though some would simply write us off as a gang because they fear what they don’t understand and hate what they can’t control. The owners understood the problems with the Gathering in the past and were still willing to accept us with open arms and I will always give mad respect to them for that.
When we first announced the location of the Gathering everything seemed amazing. Juggalos everywhere seemed excited, tickets were selling faster than I had ever seen, and there was a huge show of support for the Gathering being held somewhere new. I was giddy as a small child because it seemed that all of our hard work was paying off and for the simple fact that providing flavor for our family is one of my greatest karmic highs. There was no doubt in my mind that things were gearing up to be one of the best Gatherings we have ever had.
Then the calls stated coming in. The campground owners were concerned because there were quite a few people in their town who were raising hell over the fact that this event was going to take place. Much of this noise can be attributed to the vast amount of press generated by the recent lawsuit filed against the FBI by Psychopathic Records and the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) for wrongly accusing the Juggalos of being a gang. Some even started a petition while others began to start a boycott on their business so that locals would stop camping on their grounds and renting out their race track for four-wheeling. Others simply showed up at their door step to shout and yell at them. Not to even mention the nonstop calls pouring in day and night. Everyone was saying a gang was coming to their town and some were even arming themselves as if gearing up for war. Apparently they felt as if Juggalos were somehow monsters that would be roaming there streets at night causing destruction. It was probably the biggest news to happen down there for a long time. Since no one could yell at us directly they all took out their frustrations on the owners of the campground.
I began calling key people in Kaiser who wanted to talk to us about the Gathering and began arranging meetings for a trip down there as a show of respect. I wanted to personally address their concerns as an attempt to diffuse the situation if but a little. However, before that could even happen, the media would not let up. They seemed to be the worst. In their quest to spin everything in a negative light for the sake of a good story, they painted a picture that sent fear ripping throughout the community until the point when the campground owners could not take it anymore and so after many talks on the phone with me trying to come up with any solution to still make it work, they decided to pull the plug.
But I want everyone to know they did so not out of fear of the Juggalos, but out of fear of what some of the closed-minded individuals in their community would do. They did it so that they would not be ostracized by their neighbors. In the end, those few people who were crying like frightened babies ended up being the monsters who were ruled by their own fear. I don’t blame the camp owners for what they did; I am only saddened by this series of unfortunate events.
Up here at Psychopathic it is all about highs and lows. It seems like one day everything is magic and flowing with good positive energy and then bam!…something happens that seems to take the wind out of your sails and leaves you feeling like a deflated balloon. This is one of those moments. Even this Journal was supposed to be me reflecting on how dope the Gathering was going to be this year and instead it seems that it can only be focused on why it temporarily fell apart.
However, all is far from lost. Believe that! Our network of Juggalo fam across the country has been sending in dozens of emails with new possible Gathering locations including a few huge Juggalo owned properties. We are diligently at work utilizing all our skills and experience to figure out what is the best option and to quickly lock in the new Gathering location. There will be a Gathering this year without question. This may take a few weeks to get everything in order but our motivation level has not faltered. We are determined to fight the oppressors that be, overcome all obstacles and school it to levels seldom seen before as we always have and will always continue to do. We thank you all for your continued support and understanding in these turbulent times. This is indeed one of the most difficult but also exciting times in Juggalo history and I am honored to stand by the side of Juggalos everywhere as we refuse to lay down. Just know that the blood we shed will not be wasted and we will not be denied our freedoms and right to assemble. We will not be denied our family reunion!

@Scruffy I know you said we, just making sure you acknowledge it. Though, yes, you are only a small “problem”, but yes some of the shit you say (same with most of what I say but I hardly consider myself a juggalo) is enough to justify fear from those locals. I honestly don’t see juggalos as being the problem.
@LTB dude, I didn’t even imply that his criminal behavior or past criminal behavior had anything to do with being a juggalo. Just like somebody who shoots up a school who happens to be a juggalo probably shot up the school for reasons that have nothing to do with them being a juggalo. So to me, a juggalo that shoots up a school is still a juggalo regardless. And I say no, they shouldn’t drop the hatchet over it. It has nothing to do with each other. Fuck that selfish bullshit, somebody is distraught enough to shoot up a school and people get worried over whether or not they rep juggalos? Man, I’m more worried about the victims and the shooter himself. About maybe preventing another domestic terrorist act. But no, prevention and listening and helping is not in anybody’s agenda. It’s all about the reputation of the family man! On top of that, you want to say that spelling shit weird is worse for our reputation than criminal behavior? So you just don’t want people thinking we spell horrible, you really don’t mind about people believing we are a gaing.
@Both maybe people should learn to not blame a whole group for what a few do. It’s like one girl tells you that all girls like the smell of a certain cologne and you take it as fact when if you actually ask multiple women on the subject you will get diverse reactions. It’s stupid, a flaw in social thinking. Inductive reasoning, still an active flaw of logic that the most accept as logically solid. Even then, the only reason they really think we are dangerous is because the media that covers only vicious criminal behavior and no they are not picking on juggalos, it’s what the media does with every group. Like, the media does not give a fuck about covering stories where people are actually helped. It’s less exciting. So they believe we are a vicious gang over the media twisting us up to look like vicious gangsters for ratings. Well, even then a lot of stories that the news does they actually try to clarify that we are just harmless fans. There really is nothing we could really do to stop this bullshit. It’s less our fault and much more the fault of human stupidity. The only reason why other festivals don’t get this shit is because most festivals are not targeted for a certain group. This is a specific esoteric group in a festival called called a gathering. Just like anything that is a bit mysterious it will be feared and it will have scary theories surrounding it.

XxXaT LeEst he duzNt taWk leiK dizZ WoOp WOOP!!!1!Xxx Or go out committing robberies, assaults, murders, and supermarket shootings whilst wearing hatchet gear and throwing around wicked clowns hand signs.
moving along, though…
as i have said previously [although maybe not here], the locals say exactly the same shit twice a year, when its time for the biker rallies. and those go down, with no lynch mobs appearing. and they are run by, or at least pay tribute to, legit gangs, with legit criminal enterprises.
saying, ‘all [or any] of the locals wanted to shoot us’ is as far off the mark as them saying, ‘all [or any] of those juggalos wanted to rape our daughters and burn our homes’.
in other words, they were just talking shit, and probably [near certainly] nobody wouldve been shot by anybody.
but, while its our game, its their ball park, so we lose out.

Howard pointed to the “largely forgotten, but catastrophic” 1974 Ozark Music Festival, which brought up to 350,000 to the Missouri State Fairgrounds in Sedalia, according to some estimates, and left a major cleanup project in its wake. In response to that festival, the Missouri legislature “imposed a robust regulatory scheme requiring licensure of any type of music festival or outdoor musical activity likely to attract 5,000 or more people which will last for more than 12 hours,” Howard wrote.
Because Insane Clown Posse and Psychopathic Records had been selling tickets and promoting the event scheduled for August 6–9 at Crybaby Campgrounds in Kaiser, and because they had not obtained a permit from Miller County according to Howard, “those actions… have been in violation of the Missouri Statutes above cited,” he said.
Howard also noted the “gang” status the FBI has designated to Insane Clown Posse’s fans—known as “Juggalos”—and pointed out that misdemeanors committed by groups with that designation may be moved to felony status under Missouri law.
Because the band’s label has declared its intent to move the event away from Crybaby Campgrounds, Howard said his office would take no further action against Psychopathic Records. However, he said that if the label is determined to be scheduling or promoting any similar event anywhere within the State of Missouri during the applicable period of limitations, without first obtaining a permit, his office may pursue criminal proceedings. Howard also noted that if the news of the event cancellation in Miller County proved inaccurate, his office would prosecute those violations, and would pursue an injunction to prohibit that event or any similar ones in the future.
In his letter, Howard concluded, “Govern yourselves accordingly.”

Our view: ICP concert would have damaged the lake’s rep
As quickly as the Insane Clown Posse set its sights on the Lake of the Ozarks, it went away.
The news that the ICP and its followers the Juggalos were not coming to the Crybaby Campground in August was met with pumping fists and cheers. There was a collective sigh of relief among the law enforcement establishment, emergency medical staff and the general public.
And the economic development and chamber of commerce folks are especially pleased they won’t have to wage a public relations campaign in the wake of the melee.
The ICP announced last week it was relocating from a campground in Illinois to the Lake of the Ozarks. Published reports from several news outlets and websites warned that the ICP’s followers — estimated to be in the thousands — often generated mayhem including multiple drug overdoses, violence and even death.
The reaction among lake residents was swift. Social media was rife with concern that the lake would be consumed by the ruffians, potentially costing thousands of dollars in damages, law enforcement overtime and unpaid medical and lodging bills.
Even State Rep. Rocky Miller got involved by alerting state officials of the impending onslaught of the ICP.
The lake is slowly recovering from the image of a wild and crazy place to play as the Party Cove becomes less and less of a problem. An appearance by the Insane Clown Posse would only have exacerbated the lake’s diminishing party-place reputation.
It appears that a collective effort by the lake’s residents, community leaders and legislators forced the ICP and Juggalos to take their debauchery some place else. Whatever the root cause of the decision for the ne’er-do-wells to find another playground, we’re glad they’re moving on.
Hats off to everyone and anyone who helped make it happen.
