My bad, Im thinking how much it was for 2012 that was $120. I didn’t pay for last year cause I wasn’t planning on going until like 5 days before the gathering then I got the call to roll down with a few JCW boys. Bad trip though, not getting down there until late Friday night, truck breaking down and had to pony up a grand to fix it, one of my lettes didn’t go cause we needed a house sitter for my plants, dogs and kid. Fucking hectic last year and this year will be the shit, nuff said.

The clouds have opened up for me sun shining down on me but God himself sent down a lightning bolt through my cranium. When one thing goes good, something shitty happens afterwards. The struggle. You wrastle? Hope your plants are doing marvelous kind sir. Godspeed.
All of what you have just said is the fucking truth bud, and more or less the luck of a juggalo. My last batch of smoke was some killer shit, but from the looks of the new ones they should be stuff that legends are made of. The best thing about having a medi card is playing mad scientist and improving over the previous work. Keep it wicked homie.

Hate to be that person, but 2011 was $150…2012 was $175 but if you bought a pack of 5, they were $150 each…and last year was $175. Still an increase, but not that significant. And still well worth what you spend considering that you’d drop $30 at least per night just to camp in a normal campground (which don’t offer almost round the clock entertainment!).

What up, Ninjas?! Did some surfing and found THIS map of Legend Valley:
http://www.legendvalleyfestiva…..!map/c1lg9
Just to be sure [THIS IS NOT THE MAP FOR THE GATHERING]
It’s for another event being held there but I was needing some more info on the plannin’ tip than what I was getting from Google Maps images and scrounged up this.
Knowing my luck someone already found it. But anyway… Hope it helps!
[Bonus Edit]
Here’s a few pertinent Q&A questions from yet another event to be held there.
And again, all this stuff is for OTHER events being held there and may or may not apply to The Gathering at all so…
-Are camping fires allowed? A community fire will be provided each night for the general camping area. One fire is permitted at each private and VIP site. Fire wood will be available for purchase. Please no cutting of trees!
-Can I bring my pets? Pets are unfortunately not allowed on the Festival Grounds due to the request of land owners. Regardless of how “nice” or “friendly” your pet may be, this event is a privately ran event with the requests of the landowners being granted. Service animals are allowed if you have proof of rabies shots and service license.
-Is there anything else I should leave at home? Glass containers are not allowed. No drugs. No firearms/weapons. No underage drinking. No nitrous oxide. No explosives/fireworks. No ill intentions.

Perfect. I understand this in not a Gathering map but it gives me more confidence about the tree situation. More trees there than I thought. Still gonna arive a bit early (not days) to be towards the front of the line so I can get in some trees. I’m used to the Dark Forest or Haunted Haven.
I hope they have a parking lot party like previous years. That’s always fun.
I have already pulled up my yearly GOTJ list of essentials. The time till the GOTJ is going to tick by so slow! I really had the Gathering Fever (not to be confused with the Juggalo Plague) early this time – around the end of November. The plague I get every year as soon as I get back home. I guess being around that many new folks from everywhere in the world really taxes the immune system.
Anyway, Thanks @Cheshyr

Just for the people who do not want to click the link. This map has been floating around facebook since Psychopathic confirmed the location. I believe True Juggalo Family was the first to post it.

i managed to avoid the plague last year.

The Gathering is the best thing going price wise. Might seem expensive but for all that you get to do, it’s cheap as hell. It’s a little like Vegas though in a way, if you’re not careful you’ll spend all your cash in one day. Aahhh, drug bridge memories…..
It is definitely a HELL of a deal… I never was around for the Drug Bridge years, so I kept a good wad of cash.

i kept my cash by not spending it at the drug bridge.
it was a lousy place to find a deal, in my opinion.

Gathering is always the cheapest trip I take every year. I don’t do any kind of drugs or smoke anything…I can bring food, drinks and liquor/beer from home…so I pretty much just spend gas to get there, admission, car pass and one hot meal per day, plus a little for the merch booth. Less than $450 I’m sure. Can’t go anywhere else for less.

And if any of y’all like staying to the last day, you’ll find all kinds of stuff (tents especially) that people are just leaving. Walk around and end up with a nice cabin style multi room tent for free. People also sell shit they bought at the merch tent really cheap for gas money. If you are into drugs, the last day is when prices drop way down.
And about the drug bridge (if there is one this year), do it only if you have to. Better to get to know your neighbors and become friends with those around you cause you’ll find someone who has stuff they’ll sell to friends which will be way better than the quality at the bridge. Plus making friends with your neighbors creates kind of a small neighborhood watch in your area. They’ll recognize when someone suspicious is going through your stuff.
And another thing. If you are going to sneak in, please don’t sneak in with nothing and expect everyone else to fork the bill for you so you can have a good time. Sneak in with some cash. I always purchase my way in cause I don’t want the hassle and where else can you get almost 24hrs of entertainment for 4 days (5 if you include the parking lot party) at that price.
I actually think most of this has been said before. I think I remember @scruffy posting similar things a year or so ago. I’ve been following the forums for over a year but only recently joined less that a month ago.
