I agree with this. Don’t know what it is exactly either. I think ‘Yeah Ho’ and ‘Menace’ are really fresh and fun songs to bump and I dig his energy. The beats are definitely his best foot forward. Take away the head nodding beats he is crafting and you are not going to be a fan for too long. He keeps me nodding along when he chops but the slower stuff makes me want to lay down and take a nap. ICP can carry a slow tune but they have better punchlines, hooks and voices. He doesn’t. If he is going to go slower he should just sing more.

I don’t want to hate the dude because he doesn’t suck at all. I think the album is cool but some of you are jocking his nuts a little too hard for what he just gave you.

Its a good album and not hella long either. I just wish he would have more confidence in the work he makes. Like he calls himslef the shit but like down plays his song i dunno maybe im just lookibg to deep too.

Does not make me a dedicated-to-a-fault yes man for liking The Darkness. Just like you’re not a hater for not liking Twiztid’s new album and Rob is not some unhappy person looking for reasons to tear down AMB because he finds them boring. Can you honestly tell me that The Darkness wasn’t a severe drop in quality after Abominationz?  

That’s the difference.  

I mean, like and dislike are one thing.  But identifying dips in quality are actual concrete things.  

I think you’re looking at the single for VIP people wrong. You aren’t paying 100+ for a single. You’re paying that much to meet them. Everything else is “free” for the people who paid for vip. Like, you’re not gonna pay $100 for that icp pendant but it’s a pretty dope free gift. Same with the song.

Also, things that you think are given in terms of music isn’t universally true. A dip remix with 100 layers of hi hats might be right up someone’s alley. A dip in recording quality might add dimension. There is no universal truth in music. There’s even a type of jazz that goes out of it’s way to be unpleasant.

at what point do you choose to be the bigger man and say “this is childish, i dont hate you <insert person here>. we disagree.”? its easy to say oh lucems doing it so why can’t i? but it just reinforces childishness when you continue to pick each other apart.

don’t get me wrong, im as guilty as you and everyone else of letting my ego get the best of me at times. but at some point we all have to grow up and realise that if we keep going round and round in circles, things will degenerate into bitch fits and meltdowns resulting in people throwing in the towel.

Personally i don’t want to see people i like and respect walk away from the forum over bullshit. but when someone you constantly butt heads with does leave, you realize you had something special with them and wish they werent gone after all.

i remember reading about how he takes little subliminal digs at you even when he’s not being a dick. Ignore them, a good debate is all well and good but the further it goes the more we (i say we because i dont wanna give the impression this is directed solely at you) alienate each other when we really should be embracing each other as brothers. I’m not calling my self king for scaring him off the forum, I called myself a king for taking worse shit, I mean actual insults and not somebody pointing out my hypocrisy, with out storming out of a forum in a temper tantrum.

Also, nobody has made any subliminal shots at anybody this specific time around. We both have been getting along until I pointed out his hypocrisy then he threw a fit about it.

The original subliminal shots from his second or third or what ever return I did ignore until he started throwing a tantrum and stereotyping all atheists because one person who wasn’t even atheist hoped that ICP didn’t preach on this album.

I literally did nothing at all that I wouldn’t have done with anybody else he’s just the only one that cries about it.
